Awesome family place to stay. There was something for everyone! Beautiful setting. We saw deer and turkeys on and along the property and spotted a mountain lion up on the hill (it was a safe distance away and was quick to run off when seen.)

We had a great stay! Amanda always responds quickly and even allowed my family who were arriving much earlier than us to have access a couple of hours before check in time. The house is cozy and in a quiet neighborhood close to pretty much everything. We would definitely stay there again especially when the pool is available to swim in.

I love staying in Lead SD! This home was exactly like the pictures and description. It was spacious, clean, comfy, and cozy. It has a great selection of board games and cards. The hot tub was great after a long day of gambling and shopping. The Kitchen and Bathrooms were extremely clean. We would definitely try and rent this home again.

Amazing place! It’s right off the highway so easy to get to and such a gorgeous house. The beds were super comfy also! Perfect house to hangout at. The only downfall with being pet friendly is there is so much mud around the house. And the rocks are hard for a dog to walk on. But still recommend and will definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed or stay at Sarah's Airbnb. Everything you need is within walking distance, which was quite enjoyable. Although, it is on the edge of downtown, we had no issue with road noise, which was nice relative to the location. There is a grocery store across the street, so it was easy to walk over and buy food to prepare in the well equipped kitchen. The Pizza Mill restaurant was also across the street and there pizzas were outstanding. I would highly recommend this impendent and locally owned business. We also walked a block to breakfast one morning and ate at the Our Place restaurant. This locally owned breakfast diner was also a gem and had a wonderful hometown atmosphere. Further down the main street were several other shops and places to eat. The only negative issue with Sarah's pace was the narrow, steep, and winding stairwell to the second floor. None of our group over 50 felt comfortable staying upstairs. All and all a good stay.

We loved our stay in Hill City! The house was cute and clean with a little backyard for our small dog. We even had deer visit us every night! It is walkable to town and very close to the best food at Alpine Inn. We would definitely stay here again!

We had a wonderful stay in this home. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for our group, a nice living/dining/kitchen area and a wonderful hot tub to use. Everything was comfortable and clean and it was in a great location for all of our various adventures to different parks in the area. Would highly recommend!

Stunning home! The windows!! Furnishings are lovely, kitchen supplied everything we needed, bedding was very nice. Bathrooms are all amazing! Clean clean clean! So comfortable and gorgeous we never wanted to leave. Very easy to go down to Lead and Deadwood and access to lots of great hiking. Cannot recommend this place enough!

We were looking primarily for a place to sleep while we spent the days out exploring. This place was perfect for that. Simple, but everything you need to wind down after a busy day. And just a few minute drive to a really neat downtown area. Location felt safe.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at Camp Cottonwood. It exceeded our expectations. We felt right at home and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to shops and restaurants, and the park was thoroughly enjoyed by our kids. The Custer Skywalk is very close too. We loved the home decor! The games downstairs were enjoyed by all. The beds were cozy, the house was very clean, and it was nice to relax in the adirondack chairs underneath the trees. I would recommend this home to all visiting the Custer area. Marci was a great host!

This house was a perfect place for our extended family to stay. We were all able to have our own space plus plenty of places to gather (dining table, family room, outdoor porch and patio). It was walkable to the downtown area and the grocery store. We are planning on booking again next time we visit Custer.

We had a wonderful stay! Everything was very nice and clean. The host is very good with communication, making sure we had everything we needed and were comfortable. It was in good walking distance from food and drink. We had brought pac and plays for our children to sleep but, there were two there. They also had two sound machines for sleep which was very thoughtful! Highly recommend this host!

If you’re looking for a private getaway that’s still close to the big attractions in the Black Hills, this is the place. It’s totally private and the home is very spacious. The deck is awesome with a great view of the valley. The kitchen is massive and the best stocked I’ve seen. The house has plenty of games and activities for all ages. We were very impressed overall and would absolutely stay again. It was clean and the level of communication was awesome. If you’re reading this, stop scrolling and book this place; you won’t regret it!

Our family of 6 stayed here for 5 nights for our stay to explore South Dakota. We visited Mt Rushmore, the Badlands and Custer State Park. The location worked really well for all of that. Amanda was so responsive and helpful. I had a few questions while packing and then some questions upon arrival. She responded within minutes with all kinds of helpful suggestions. The house itself was great with plenty of supplies like paper towels, laundry detergent, trash bags, and everything you would need. The deck was beautiful. We were out too late every day to use the grill but that would have been great. I highly recommend this property!

We have stayed at a lot of different places and this has been one of our favorites. The location was perfect for our trip to the Black Hills, including Custer State Park, Jewel Cave, and Wind Cave. The house was more than enough room for three adults. The kitchen was well stocked with what we needed. The house was clean and comfortable and a great value. We highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

A cozy home away from home. Cheri was responsive n flexible with move-in/move out. We all had a wonderful time as we celebrated my daughter’s wedding. The amenities were perfect. Would highly recommend this rental. Thank you for everything.

Nancy was the perfect host and we enjoyed our stay at her guest home. She was courteous when needing to come on to the property not wanting to disturb our stay. Custer is a great location to base out to see all of the sights in the Black Hills. Nancy was great to recommend restaurants and other local attractions. She also allowed us to check in early and was very responsive to communicate. We would definitely recommend staying at Change of Attitude.

Great place! Lovely new modern house in a super convenient location, great main bath, fantastic deck. Very reponsive host. The surprise was all the critters! There is a rafter of Turkey that roost in the valley behind the house, you will see them go back and forth right in front of the house a couple times a day. There were also two young bucks and a couple rabbits that stopped by and let us take lots of great pics. If traveling with Children, don't miss Evans Plunge, I went there as a small child and still have fond memories. if not traveling with Children, do yourself a big favor and book a soak pass at Moccasin Springs. It is basically in the neighborhood. It is only $30 for a two hours mineral soak with pools at various temps. We went twice, and I would put both days up there as the best spent days of my life.

Walt's Retreat was very easy to find and check in. The home was extremely clean and clutter free with plenty of plates, glasses, pots and silverware so we had everything we needed. The location is close to town but is very private with lots of acreage and a huge yard that has a tire swing my granddaughters loved. Shana was accessible, helpful and the perfect host. We would definitely stay again!

The pictures did not do this house justice. It was more beautiful and clean than I was expecting! the scenery is gorgeous and we all had a great time. I cannot wait to come back and get to enjoy the firepit area. (it rained on us all weekend, but the house was so cozy we didn't mind hanging out inside)

I couldn’t imagine a better way to be introduced to South Dakota. The house is fun and cozy. I spent hours using the air hockey and foosball table. I loved spending the mornings watching the sunrise. (Also, the chipmunks here love chocolate milk.)

We chose Molle's Two Bit cabin for our last leg of our road trip due to the private space, proximity to Deadwood and Sturgis but also for its promise of quiet. It has been a busy trip and when we entered the cabin and saw labels to identify the switches, helpful notes regarding the hot tub and location of additional blankets and just how serene the yard was, I knew I had saved the best for last. The furniture and beds were absolute heaven. The shower felt amazing and the Hot tub was exactly what we needed after a long stressful drive. We encountered truck issues on journey so we were thankful for the proximity to different cities to have it looked at. we also loved that we had a comfortable place to relax and unwind. Check out was easy even if we didn't really want to leave. We are already discussing creating an opportunity to return, this time with our vehicle fixed so we can enjoy more of what the area has to offer.

Jenna’s place is a perfect get-away for my husband and I. The place is spotless, well stocked and beautifully decorated. Easy drive to restaurants and attractions, but secluded surrounded by trees and wildlife. This is our second stay here and will definitely stay again.
