Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Dar es Salaam

We had a great stay at this house. It’s located within a 7-8 minute walk from Coco beach. It’s a super safe neighborhood where you can walk any hour of the day without any concern. The host is extraordinarily communicative and friendly, and he solved any question or small issue we had immediately. The house itself is in pristine condition and is very well equipped, especially for cooking. Good TV/sound bar system as well. There is a huge gym called Colosseum within walking distance from the house. I can highly recommend this place.

I had an amazing stay at Diana’s place! Diana was a fantastic host – she always responded quickly and had great recommendations for local restaurants and things to do. Her helpfulness made the trip even better. A big thank you also to Emmanuel, who assisted with several errands and was super kind and accommodating. The location is perfect – just a 5-minute bike ride to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy the sun and sea. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a relaxing spot with great hospitality. Would definitely book again!

Zannas place was amazing! The grounds are well maintained, clean and absolutely beautiful, you’ll feel like you’re staying at your own private resort. Each guest in my group truly enjoyed themselves. The layout of the property allows for privacy and an interactive atmosphere at the same time. Zanna’s staff and brother were very helpful with helping my group get around. Whether it was directing us to the market for groceries, ATMs, ordering Bolts, the closest hookah bar or even where to get late night pizza after an outing, we were safe and in good hands. I would definitely recommend staying here, especially if you’re looking to immerse yourself in the local culture but have a sense of a getaway at the same time. 10/10, we all agreed that we’ll be back during our next trip to Dar es Salaam. It was the first time for my and my wife to visit Daresalaam, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Christina and Edgar were very committed in ensuring we enjoyed or stay. The house was very neat and clean, a walking distance to nearby restaurants and easily accessible. A very quiet neighborhood as well. The check in and check out process was also perfect.

The living room was spacious, and I liked the stylish and calm atmosphere.The bedroom was also clean and there was plenty of storage.The response was always quick, and I had a pleasant stay.

Sarah’s place was perfect. It was comfortable plenty of room for the two of us easy to get to local restaurants and swimming at the yacht club. Am so thankful for the opportunity to stay there. Can’t wait to return.

This is a very nice Airbnb with thoughtful interior design and well-curated amenities. The host clearly took time to ensure everything a guest might need was provided, which I appreciated. One of my favorite features was the fresh breeze that comes in through the balcony, making the space feel open and relaxing. The location is also central to everything—I visited Masaki often, and it was just a quick 15-minute ride by motorbike taxi. The highlight for me was the bathroom—it was modern, clean, and fully equipped with everything I needed during my stay. That said, there were a few challenges. As someone who works remotely full-time, the frequent power outages made it difficult to work consistently. Unfortunately, the electricity would cut off almost every evening—right during my working hours due to the 7-hour time difference with the U.S. Overall, I enjoyed the space and hospitality, but I would recommend it more for vacation stays rather than remote work setups.

Hajra and Halima’s home is quite nice. They are so responsive and super flexible. Highly recommend for anyone looking to stay in Dar in Mikocheni.

This was my second stay at Butogwa’s place and everything was just as good as the first time. Beautiful apartment with good wifi, AC, and hot water, helpful staff, safe neighborhood, and a responsive host. I will definitely go back. Highly recommended!

The location of the apartment was perfect, being on a nice quiet street and at walking distance from some great restaurants in the heart of Masaki! The space was clean, with comfortable furniture and equipped with all the required amenities. Eugenia was super responsive and helpful, and she made sure we had everything we needed. I had a great weekend away with my family at this facility, it was a home away from home. A very good, clean and well taken care home which was friendly for not only Adults but Children too.
