The village is surrounded by lush mountain peaks as it spreads through a fertile plain full of apple trees,walnuts and grains crossed by two rivers. Historically, Poliani has more than 45 Byzantine churches recorded to this day, while the church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary survives from the Byzantine period with remarkable frescoes of the 12th century.

Situated at the foot of Mount Parnon, Agroktima guesthouse is surrounded by a lush green garden and consists of ten farm houses, samples of the Tsakonian architecture.
