Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Deep Creek Lake

Can’t say enough good things about this place! My family and I had the best time. Gorgeous and clean home with extra amenities and goodies in the kitchen. The fire pit outside is wonderful. Though it was a cold Memorial Day Weekend, we made the best of it enjoying the comfy home and watching a movie. Someone in the guest book talked about counting the bears in the house.. they got 151, we got 163! Between the adults it was a funny game to compete who could get the most! Thank you Greg and Denise for a wonderful stay!

The whole process was seamless. Great communication between us and the host, check-in was a breeze and it was exactly as advertised. Would stay here again.

This was one of the cleanest, coziest, and incredibly welcoming Airbnb’s I’ve stayed at! Not only was Andrew super responsive, but had given us a welcome guide ahead of time to explain all of the amenities and features of the house, as well as helpful recommendations of places to eat and things to do around Deep Creek! The place was nestled in a private area (perfect for us!) but was still close to all of the action and entertainment. We were in town for a wedding but wish we would’ve stayed longer because the house was so nice. The hammocks are super comfortable and provide a relaxing space to sit and look at the beautiful scenery around. I hope to stay at Andrew’s again in the future!

We had to make an unexpected trip and were very fortunate to find this great place with only a one day notice. We had an issue with a room heater but Lisa responded to our message very quickly. The house was very clean and well stocked with linens and everything we could have wanted in the kitchen. We were there before the season so didn't take part in any of the lake activities, but it is a beautiful part of the country and was very convenient for visits to Oakland, Grantsville and other places where our family members live. We have stayed at several other Airbnb locations in the area and this is the best!

We had an amazing time at this Airbnb! It is so close to Deep Creek, New Germany, & Swallow Falls park. It is also walkable to a breakfast cafe, pizzeria and boat rental. It was oddly cold in May during our visit, so we loved having the sunny deck to relax on in the morning and a warm fire each night in the indoor fireplace. The host was responsive to our questions and we felt right at home.

Abram and Nina are EXCELLENT hosts. the house was clean , organized and cozy. They were both incredibly responsive and attentive to all messages & problems. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Stacy was extremely responsive and quickly called me to answer my questions. The house is so cute with ample space for a family or small group of friends. We loved the location as we were close to restaurants and attractions. Being next to the main road allows for traffic noise, but it was worth it for being on the water and the great location.

Amazing place, great host

We had a great stay in Friendsville! The place was exactly as described. Super clean and so comfortable. Our hosts were helpful with things we forgot and also very welcoming and friendly. Wanda takes great care in making sure all the comforts of home are provided.

It was a cute little carriage house apartment. The jetted tub was nice, it had a coffee pot and blackout curtains. Though we didn’t use it, there were EV charging stations and worth noting. It’s about 5 miles from Oakland proper and 10 miles from the touristy part of Deep Creek, so close enough but far away enough. If you are looking for a place to get away with amazing views and to check out from the real world, this is the spot. Kam was responsive when we did message her. Definitely would recommend.

Joyce was so welcoming and the apartment was fabulous! Loved the bird feeder, the private view, and also how personable Joyce & John are. The view over the mountains from their yard is gorgeous, and they invite guests to walk trails on the property. The apartment had everything I needed and was beautifully designed and decorated. I brought all of my food and found everything I needed to cook—great pans, extra staples like oil, spices and sugar. The whole reason I went was to hike in Cooper’s Rock State Forest, and Joyce told me about a little known trail that is not in the main part of the park—it turned out to be my favorite trail. I highly recommend staying at Cooper’s Retreat!!

Extremely nice place, Angela was very friendly and set up the place very nicely and welcoming to all guests.

We had a wonderful stay at the Yoder School House. It was so peaceful and relaxing, especially the hot tub with a lovely view of the farmland and watching all the birds at the feeder and in the field over coffee in the mornings. The house had everything we could need - Rhoda is very thoughtful in stocking the kitchen and even leaving fun board games. We loved the proximity to the Casselman Creamery, and it was a great location for day trips to hike Mount Davis and explore Ohiopyle State Park in PA. WE would definitely stay here again! Highly recommend!

One of the best hosts I’ve dealt with. She is quick with responding with any questions you may have and gives you plenty of recommendations around the area. She asks you how the stay is throughout the dates you are there. Overall a great host and the property is beautiful.

It was great and easy, they communicated very quickly and the location was great

I wish there was an extra star for the Host! Lorena was super helpful, always responded less than 30 minutes, and made us feel welcome into her home. Personal touches say a lot, and she had written us a nice thank you card that was on the table when we arrived. It was also nice that we did not have to run out and get toiletries immediately as they were readily available upon our arrival. Lorena was also upfront with an issue involving the oven, however there was a toaster oven readily available if we so choose. I highly recommend her condo to anyone with a small group of people/small family that plans on staying in the Deep Creek area!

FANTASTIC! The only comment would be that the air circulation is very weak. it would be nice to have drying racks out other ways to dry wet, cold clothing after a day of skiing.

Great location. The room was very clean and accommodations were good. Would definitely stay there again!

Cozy lodge. Our unit was lovely. We did have one issue, but the beauty of the unit being in a hotel-like lodge was the front desk staff was right there to handle it. Would absolutely recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Silver Tree Suites! Our favorite part was the ability to rent a movie and watch by the fireplace. Felt very cozy and we would definitely stay here again.

I had a very nice stay during my time here. It looked just as described and was perfect for a peaceful weekend. I would stay here again in the future.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay! The location is great, and we look forward to staying again!
