Beachfront holiday rentals in Dehiwala

Mimis kleines Paradies (eigentlich eher riesig) hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen! Die Bilder auf Airbnb sind schon toll, aber in der Realität, ist das Anwesen noch viel schöner! Die Architektur ist beeindruckend. Haus, Garten und Pool bilden eine perfekte Einheit. Überall gibt es schöne Plätze die zum verweilen einladen. Wir waren zu siebt auf Sri Lanka Tour und der krönende Abschluss, waren die 4 Nächte in Mimis Haus. Dank Kapila, Manjula und Raja konnten wir unseren Aufenthalt in vollen Zügen genießen und einfach nur entspannen! Die drei Herren sind super freundlich, liebenswert und hilfsbereit. Manjula hat uns landestypisch bekocht, köstlich, authentisch und nur ein kleines bisschen scharf. Zum Glück. Vielen vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit!

Great location, quite peaceful and as described 50 m from local beach. Had a lovely village feel to the area, would highly recommend for a long stay and great value for money.

appartement très propre et bien équipé... à l'étage d'une famille vivant en dessous très gentils et discrets et présents si besoin... une climatisation unique dans la chambre qui est payante et n'est pas signalée comme telle. très proche du grand traffic de la ville et de la mer, mais suffisamment en retrait pour dormir correctement !!

My husband and I stayed here for a whole month. First of all we want to say that we feel very grateful to the family because they were always willing to help us in any situation. For example one time we got sick during our trip and the family was always aware of our health and attended us in the best way. They also gave us recommendations on how to move around the area and places that could be interesting to visit. On the other hand we can say that the place is very nice, clean and comfortable. We like to have experiences close to local life and being there allowed us to enjoy quiet days away from the tourist hotspots but not so far as to be able to easily go to interesting places such as different beaches, jungles, temples, among others. The breakfasts were varied and all delicious. Also many nights we decided to pay extra for dinner which we must say was everytime delicious and budget friendly. We can highly recommend it staying here and hope to return soon. Cathy & Philipp

We had a really nice 2 night stay at the villa. There are a lot of rooms, perfect swimmingspool and great view at the ocean. Daniel is a nice guy and communicate very quick. It’s a perfect place to start your journey in Sri Lanka after a long flight. We will definitely stay here again!

It’s a very nice place to stay. Quiet surroundings, big rooms, place for sitting outside and everything you might need is here. The family lives nearby and is very nice and helpful. The beach is a short walk away. I would highly recommend this place.

Our family group of 5 adults stayed at ‘Home within a City’ from the 6th Jan to 11th 2018. Our hosts Mihiri and Kapila were on hand to greet us when we arrived, and took us through all the formalities. The apartment was exactly as described, well laid out, and equipped with everything one could require on holiday. The excellent location gave us plenty of choice to eat and drink outside. The building had 24hr security and was well maintained. Boswell Residences was a short walk from Wellawatte train station (10 minutes into the Fort), and 5 minutes up to Galle Road from where you could catch a local bus into most places in town. Best was the pickme app with which you could summon a small car that was as cheap as the ubiquitous tuk-tuk, and airconditioned. The Majestic Mall, less than 3km/10min ride away cost me Rupees150. (Always take a metered tuk-tuk). Everyone in our group were unanimous – this is an apartment that we would gladly return to. Thank You Mihiri & Kapila for being attentive and gracious hosts. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and would hope to return again.

We stayed at this place for over two weeks. Host Sudaththa and the manager Lakshanee were responsive and ready to help. Our flight arrived after midnight and the drive from airport was slow due to heavy rain. Lakshanee waited for us to let us in and introduce the facilities. They were also happy to accommodate our request to get some groceries for our immediate needs. The pool on the roof is small but very clean and is set in nice surroundings (can see the ocean from the rooftop). A/c units and fans kept us cool and the generator on standby meant there was no power interruption for more than a few seconds. The security guards were alert even after 19 pm and opened the gate for us when we were a little late to get back. Overall the experience was better than anticipated. The kitchen utensil range is limited but if we had asked I believe what we needed would have been provided. We did not because we only needed to make breakfast and tea there.

We arrived late and were let in by the always-helpful 24-hour security. The apartment is spacious and comfortable with sea views and air conditioning. It's very close to the beach and the various restaurants. The rooftop pool is a real asset and a place to relax and watch the sunset after the hustle and bustle of Colombo. The owner kept in touch and was available at all times.

The location was absolutely brilliant with easy links into the city, or the railway station if you're up for exploring by train!

Мы останавливались здесь с мамой и сыном (20 дней) — это было одно из лучших размещений в Коломбо. Просторные апартаменты, идеально подходящие как для отдыха, так и для жизни. Две спальни, две ванные комнаты, продуманная кухня, балконы почти в каждой комнате, потрясающий панорамный вид на океан. Даже несмотря на близость железной дороги, слышно только шум волн — поезд можно услышать только при открытом окне, и то — мимолётно. Район тихий, рядом кафе, магазины, всё удобно. На крыше — бассейн, шезлонги, вид как на открытке. Безопасно, чисто, приватно. Уборка по запросу (удобно, никто не тревожит), интернет усилили после обращения — сработали быстро. Персонал всегда на связи. Особенно порадовала система с датчиками: кондиционеры отключаются при открытых окнах. Всё работает идеально, фотографии абсолютно соответствуют. Я обязательно вернусь сюда снова.

The host was awesome he promptly took care of our requests very hospitable, professional, helpful and with a great attitude. The location is good close to the beach also the security personnel were very good always looking out for you. And no disturbances from the other apartments. Grocery and food outlets very close to the apartment. I highly recommend this Airbnb especially because host.

Jayantha is so kind and easy-going. He always tries to solve the problems when we need help. The apartment is clean, and big enough to stay in. The 1 month experience was so wonderful. Highly recommend anyone who wants to stay in colombo for holidays.

My elderly mother, a relative and myself stayed at Prasanna’s place. Prasanna was a friendly host and facilitated especially the needs of my mother. The house was a silent peaceful place. I managed to read a lot in my stay and participated online conference from there. We had good overnight sleep in those great air conditioned rooms. The garden was spacious with lots of trees . Many of them had local fruit which we enjoyed with permission from Prasanna. Local areas were still villages and good to experience the feel of Sri Lankan villages

We had a really pleasant stay at VillaMore. The location is ideal for those seeking for a calm place to isolate from the world. The house was very clean and comfortable, the terrase and the yard with a fantastic view to the ocean were our favorite place to hang out. Beautiful sunsets and very nice beach 20 meters from the house. Susan and Ravi were extremely helpful throughout the entire period of arrangement of the trip and the stay. Friendly, responsive and very nice people. Ranjith and Jayanthi living right next door were always there for help. Our family is very grateful for this memorable one week.

Excellent location. Very clean. Properly organised. Quick response from the host. We got some amazing local tips from the host hat helped us dine at some of the best restaurants in Colombo. Highly recommend!
