Cottage holiday rentals in DeKalb County

Came to take our 8.5 year old dog to see mountains. The Garden Cottage was squeaky clean, comfy cozy, and fantastic. The flowers and plants were gorgeous; I felt like a hobbit in the shire (high compliment). We cooked every night and never were without. Excellent WiFi, quiet area. The rooms don’t have ceilings so you can hear the TV In the living room or room next to you but honestly, yall will all be tuckered out. It gave it a summer camp vibe and each room had its own fans that would drown out noise if you wanted it too (plus AC). We will certainly be back And sharing this gem with our friends.

The photos don’t do justice to the beautiful surroundings of this home. I kayaked up the Little River and it was just so serene and lovely. Having the entire property fenced was wonderful for our dog. The inside was clean and they even had dog bowls and some leashes for our pet. Good water pressure, high quality towels. We were lucky enough to be there on the weekend of a major local rodeo and that really made our trip memorable!

Wonderful quiet retreat from the hustle and bustle of the real world. Enjoyed spending time as a family (dogs included). Great responsive hospitality.

This was one of our best air BNB stays. Our daughter got married at Stone Haven and it was great to find a home that was just 8 minutes from the venue! This proved to be very convenient. The home was very clean. The kitchen was very well stocked. We didn’t cook anything while we were there but if we had, we would not have had a problem doing so. The kitchen has everything you need and more. My husband enjoyed using the hot tub every morning and evening. It was perfect. The furniture was clean and comfortable. The house was very well maintained, everything functioned as it should. The host is extremely nice and very attentive. We had absolutely no problems during our stay, the host made sure we had everything we needed. Wish we could have stayed longer. The home is located is a very quiet and peaceful area. Staying in this home for our daughter’s wedding was the cherry on top of a beautiful weekend. Thank you so much Stacey for sharing your home with us.

This was by far the best experience we have had with a rental. All the amenities were as described and the host even left us some extras in a cabinet like bug spray, bandaids, toothpaste, toothbrush, etc. just in case we forgot ours. Everything was labeled and self explanatory! The host even has coffee and fresh cookies for us when we arrived. There was a stack of fresh wood for the fire pit and fresh corn to feed the deer! I can’t wait to come back!!! They made us feel like family!

This is the most charming location in the hamlet of Mentone! The decor was warm and inviting. The deck was large and easy to watch the evening sunset. Beds were very comfortable!

The communication from the host included everything we needed. It was easy to find and easy to check in. We arrived well after dark, so this was a plus. If you have a boat, the covered driveway is a plus. Easy access to electric for charging batteries.

Had a great stay. The location was lovely, and the place itself was welcoming. I liked the decor. We enjoyed sitting on the front deck and watching birds and frogs.

I loved staying in Emmye and Seth's place. It was cozy and welcoming and I felt right at home. I loved the privacy and peace of the neighborhood and I appreciated that I could take a walk without driving anywhere first. I hiked every day and felt so connected with nature in Mentone. I cherished my mornings on the swing on the back deck, sipping my coffee and reading. Utter bliss. The house is so close to great hikes and waterfalls. I loved eating at the Wildflower Cafe across the street and the Vintage 1889 in Fort Payne. I will definitely be back! Loved my experience!

Great place to stay!

We rented this cottage last minute for our weekend trip to go hang gliding nearby. It was exactly as it was described. Very secure location that is gated. Well decorated interior with anything and everything you could possibly need; you just have to supply your own food. So many extra amenities made it special like the different types of shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower. James and Angela were very hospitable and were quick to respond when I couldn’t get the door to unlock when we arrived after 7:30 pm. We brought our fishing rods to fish at their beautiful pond, but we ran out of daylight. We felt very comfortable and would definitely stay there again should we ever end up back in that area. You can’t go wrong renting this cottage. We thoroughly enjoy our stay!!

Very clean and cozy. We really enjoyed the screened in porch. Everything we needed for the short stay. Very quiet and peaceful!

The house is perfect. Inside beautifully done with everything you need!! Love the outside, you can hear the waterfall when you are sitting on the front porch ( anywhere outside). The creek was wonderful a little hard on my 3 year old granddaughter but she loved it!! Tons of birds I spent hours in the mornings while the others slept listening to them ! 3 types of woodpeckers, lots of Warblers, and more. Without a doubt one of my favorite stays. You can't go wrong staying here. David was an awesome host always friendly with quick responses and great detail. If this wasn't enough the kitchen has all the spices you need, lots of tea and more. The bathrooms not only have you hygiene needs but some beauty care for a simple spa day! Thank you so much this is a perfect place to stay!!

Excellent stay for a fisherman! We were not looking for luxury, just a clean place to stay before fishing. This fit the bill perfectly! The pull through(also covered) boat parking make it so easy to enter and exit. The nearest public boat ramp is maybe a mile away! We will definitely stay again when we come to Gville!!

The cabin was perfect for our family Christmas getaway!! The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare great meals. The location is secluded but still close enough to get to stores if you forget something and there is a lot of amazing hiking within a short drive of the cabin. Misti was an amazing host and super proactive in communications and everything was very clear. I would highly recommend! And they decorated for Christmas (even with a tree) so we felt right at home!

This little cottage is so cute! Very clean, very well equipped kitchen, super convenient location. Very peaceful with a nice deck and backyard view. Enjoyed watching rabbits, squirrels, and listening to the many birds. Water access to the river was a nice bonus. We did not use it, but we did walk down the road to see it. Would like to come back for another stay and perhaps have time to use it then. Host was very accomodating when we needed a couple of extra hours at checkout. Would definitely stay again!

This place is just beautiful! It is so serene and not one detail was missed. Everything is perfectly clean, decorated and labeled. The beds and pillows were super comfortable too. It felt just like home to us! We really enjoyed our mornings on the porch watching the wildlife. We even saw deer and an adorable groundhog! Check in was a breeze with our great host! Would absolutely love to visit again and will definitely recommend to anyone we know heading to this area!

nice clean place like the back area looking at stars was great and picking black berries was wonderful and tasted great. its going to look wonderful when it's complete.
