Halcottsville is a tiny hamlet In the heart of the Catskills .The porch is a compound with an old general store built in 1890 which is available for rent .We also have a restored barn , gardens and Apple orchard . The Bungalow is super private and still right on Main Street in Halcottsville. We will definitely will share our veggies and fruit with you . We have 3 sheep , 10 chickens and 5 barn cats .Halcottsville has its own post office ,voluntary fire department and a beautiful Lake.

If your looking for a cute, clean, modern cabin surrounded by beautiful views you've found it! The Roost is a private retreat surrounded by nature, situated on 7 acres (yet just 10 min to town). Breath in the fresh air, take in the breathtaking sunsets, open fields, & starlit sky. Listen to the birds sing. Cool your feet off in the creek. Soak in the hot tub, play games, relax around the fire pit or unwind with a movie on the 8-foot projector screen. You will leave feeling rejuvenated!

Secluded and Private Catskills Cabin with a View

Modern cabin on the mountains of the western Catskills. There is a full kitchen, dishwasher, washer/dryer, an assortment of books, board games, puzzles, and an indoor wood-burning stove. There is reliable, high-speed fiber-optic wifi. There is no TV. Note: In winter (Dec-March at least) you will NEED a vehicle with AWD or 4WD to reach the cabin. The final .75 mile of the drive is a dirt road with a couple of hills that could be difficult for an FWD vehicle to safely get up or down.

We are very excited to announce that our cabin has a huge upgrade as of Spring '25. We now have a full bathroom with running water! Note that cabin has a kitchenette, not full kitchen.
