Little Coombe

Little Coombe welcomes all couples, lone travellers and fellow pooches. Little Coombe is a totally self-contained cottage attached to the main cottage, where the owner lives. It is a tranquil stone cottage sitting by the brook in a small hamlet near Shaftesbury. The cottage was formerly two thatched farm cottages and where our family has lived for nearly 100 years! We live next door in the main cottage, but guests will have their own entrance and garden space and their privacy is guaranteed.

Talbot Cottage is a delightful newly renovated two-bedroom single-story cottage, in seven acres of garden and fields. You have your own entrance, wheelchair friendly. Located on a no-through road with only local residents traffic, giving a peaceful setting with views of the surrounding hills. Shaftesbury just over a mile with its historic Gold Hill and a good choice of shops and places to eat. It is a good base for exploring the area, offering historic houses, interesting gardens, walks, the Jurassic Coast, Stonehenge, Salisbury and Bath and much more.

A tranquil place in beautiful countryside. This Shepherds Hut, in its own garden, is overlooking a meadow. Designed for relaxation, many quirky furnishings are made by the craftsman owners. This rural region is an under-appreciated delight. Ideal for walking, cycling, painting, historic houses, gardens, Messums Gallery and Wardour castle. Wonderful selection of pubs locally, a choice for each night’s stay. Breakfast is laid out in the orangery, all home made (told it is “scoffable”).

Ansty, Tisbury - Spacious countryside getaway

PLEASE NOTE: The annex has 2 double bedrooms which need to be booked separately. Each double bedroom sleeps 2 guests, so to use both rooms please select 3-4 guests. If one double room is booked the other will be locked and not used. Our bright and sunny annex has 2 spacious double bedrooms with 2 superking size beds that can also be split into 4 single beds if requested. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom, one with a bath and shower, the other with a shower.

An 1860s cottage on the historic and famous Gold Hill in the beautiful town of Shaftesbury, Dorset. There's 3 bedrooms - two smaller attic bedrooms and the main bedroom which is spacious with a king bed. There's only one bathroom so any more than four adults might struggle! Less than an hour from the Jurassic Coast and 25mins to Stonehenge we're in a great spot or just enjoy the countryside on your doorstep.
