Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Douro River

The house is renovated and very comfortable, we would like to have noticed by the description that the outside area is far from the house.

Five stars to Casa de Cardido and to Rui and Alexandra for being wonderful hosts. We were a little late checking in, but Rui greeted us with a smile and a very generous tabua of local cheeses and meats. The hosts go above anything expected, with a sound system at the pool, exercise equipment, and fresh bread delivered daily. The house is a traditional Portuguese home - and it feels like a “home” not a rental. We spent two weeks here and it felt like staying with family. I noticed that one review commented on how close the highway is. Please know this is not a problem. You can see the highway when approaching the home from the road, but you cannot hear it and it does not interfere with the experience. This is very high quality stay with caring and involved hosts that will make sure you have all you need. I highly recommend.

Such a lovely experience. Marissa was so welcoming and answered all of our questions. We enjoyed the countless recommendations such as the local bakery (San Miguel was our favorite), and the 516 Suspension Bridge. The AirBnb was cozy and so lovely that we really felt at ease and comfortable. We will definitely keep it on the list for future travel!

A true piece of paradise! 🌿✨ From the first moment, we feel welcomed as if we were at home - but with the charm of a heavenly refuge. Diogo was an exemplary host: always available, attentive and genuinely concerned with our well-being. Your kindness made the experience even more special. The space is simply breathtaking, perfect for resting the mind and recharging the soul. And as if the surrounding nature and the tranquility of the place were not enough, we had charming visitors: adorable kittens that appeared unexpectedly and immediately won our hearts. They were a sweet and caring asset, which gave even more life to our stay. We recommend it with our eyes closed - and with a full heart.

I was very well received by Marta, who showed me the house and left food for my first breakfast, including homemade jam and fruit from the orchard. The location of Casa da Eira is fantastic, with beautiful views of the Douro river bay, a large patio with the same view and right next to the pool. The infinity pool is stunning with a view of the river and is large. The entire property is very well cared for, with gardens and fruit tree plantations; the size of the property provides walking paths and nooks to rest without leaving the premises. The house itself has all the amenities and is very comfortable, with a covered balcony that gives you the feeling of being in a tree house. Marta's kindness (who even offered me plums from the farm's production), the location and amenities, make this accommodation an ideal retreat for true rest, whether you go alone or with family. I'll be back.

Mario and Cila’s home was one of the most beautiful I have stayed out. The house was an old olive oil mill, converted into a modern paradise. They thoughtfully incorporated the property’s history into the renovation. The home is beautiful but the grounds are next level! There is a running stream running along side and under the house with lush grounds and a wonderful pool. There is also a walking path to a little park with a waterfall! Super peaceful property. If you are looking for a getaway, look no further! Mario and Cila are super kind, gracious hosts! They welcomed us themselves and proactively provided tips and recommendations. Super appreciative of their hospitality.

The house do Bobal has exceeded our expectations, although in the photos it is already seen that it is very complete, being there it is even more beautiful and very cozy, I know that it was decorated by a family and not only for guests, we felt right at home, the beds are comfortable, the house was super clean, the back patio is great, we have enjoyed the hammock and also the game of darts, in the house there are more options of board games to play in front of the fireplace if it is cold as in our case... we were able to bring our chihuahua and we had a lot of privacy, the village is also very nice and there are several paths and things to visit in the area. Luis is very friendly and has had details with us such as asking the baker to leave the fresh bread at the door in the morning! super recommended! We're already looking forward to coming back :)

Wonderful to stay because you are provided with all comforts. There is a swimming pool, large and deep, and a smaller one with jet sets, nice. A BBQ, kitchen with everything you need, a huge bathroom, a sports area with fitness facilities and a jacuzzi! The rooms are well equipped with air conditioning, and the owners are terribly nice. For example, I was able to do a quick wash. Recommended!

We really enjoyed staying in Sousas apartment. Nice and clean. Big bedroom and bathroom with a super nice shower. Everything was new and the elevator right into the apartment was a nice feature. We liked the neighbourhood with supercool restaurants close by and most sights in easy walking distance. Thank you for hosting us.

What can I say - from start to finish we had a great time at Aqua Villa Madalena. Our purpose for coming here was to attend Rally Portugal. The apartment was central to where we needed to go to see the stages of the Rally. Apart from this, the apartment was exceptional - so clean. Sonia as a host was so responsive and always available when needed ( which I hope wasn't too often for her!) Our children really enjoyed the pool, the place was so peaceful and quiet! An all-round fantastic holiday! Thank you so much Sonia and family!!! Hopefully we will visit again another time!

We were seduced by this exotic, quiet and beautiful place! From the accommodation to the outdoor facilities, everything was great! our 11 and 6 year old children also enjoyed the place. Great hospitality from the host, we already know in advance that we will be back!!

Paula is an excellent host. He greeted us with a smile and immediately put us at ease, showing availability to help with whatever we needed. The apartment is in excellent condition and is in a quiet area.

Marsan is a super great host. Super friendly and always willing to help ✨ He responds to message very quick. The house is so clean. The beds are comfortable. The house has AC in every room. Bathroom has hot water. Marsan also makes a list of recommendations for things to do in Madrid 😊 I highly recommend this place if you are staying in Madrid. The location is convenient too. 10 mins walk from metro station. City centre also has some bus to reach near the apartment💯 we enjoy our stay here 😊

This is a beautiful apartment, well decorated and in a wonderful location right next to Retiro Park. We stayed for a month and were sad to leave. It is a short walk to everything you might need, bakeries, food markets, laundry, pharmacies, shops, and, of course, this being Madrid, excellent restaurants and neighborhood bars. The metro was just a block away, and bus stops right around the corner. Gabi, is a wonderful host. Attentive to all our needs and inquiries. She and her partner not only remodeled this apartment with great detail to make it functional, but decorated it in great taste. They are architects! Thank-you, Gabi. Hope we can come back soon!

Quiet place. Great for getting out of the city and distracting your mind. I slept very well, no noise. Whirlpool works well. Only microwave and barbecue so I took my portable electric oven to cook.

We are very very thankful to Helena and Luis. They are very sweet, helpful and amazingly kind. We felt right at home in this absolute stunning place. It is a bit difficult to find, but Helena was a great help. We LOVED it and enjoyed it to the max! We will be back for sure!

This is a stunning place secluded away from anything nearby. Great for a retreat to be restful, listen to nature and admire the beautiful horses. Cheila was an incredible host, super responsive to any questions or comments and gave us some beautiful lemons from her tree. The house is really well throughout and all amenities are included. It was great! The cabin is small and cozy. Everything you need to stay without feeling overwhelmed. We were a couple and a dog and the space and utensils etc was perfect. Upon arrival he attended and explained everything Luis (5 stars also for his work) and we had good communication at all times with him and Alberto. Our dog made very good crumbs with his (Drago) and they had a great time. We will repeat without a doubt, we stay eager to use the patio!

the house is private with amazing views, miguel and his cousin were both very friendly and even offered a late checkout. even with cloudy weather the pool stayed warm enough to enjoy.
