Holiday rentals with a fireplace in East Africa

We have had a wonderful stay at Carol's house. I have nothing but good things to say, the house and the garden are so charming, with everything you may need, the rooms are spacious, with very comfortable beds; the outdoor veranda is coosy and the staff does a great job. Carol has been in touch with us all the time and has given to us very good recommendations. We will be back soon!

Simply this place is heaven on earth, Damien and his team were an excellent I’m support and communication We had stayed in the yellow house for one night, i wish we had more time to stay more but will definitely come back again Highly recommended and their attention to details is really impressive

Ruben's place is extremely beautiful what you see is excatly what you get and his very responsive and helpful, we never got to see him as he gives guests privacy but we enjoyed our stay definitely coming back

James' house located in a very safe neighborhood, considering this is our first time in South Africa, this is necessary to make us feel good, plus we're travelling with 3 small kids. The house is spacey, have everything we need, comfortable, though a little cold during wintertime as it doesn't have central heating, but for adults it's manageable. Distance is also great if you have a car, which is mandatory for Joburg in my opinion. James is also very friendly and responsive, answers to questions whenever he is available, so this was a great find :)

Daniel and Tracy’s place is a beautiful old home. Daniel was incredibly helpful and responsive. Although it was quite chilly during winter, Daniel prepared us and gave us great instructions to heat the house. We stayed as a big group of two families and there was more than enough space. Would definitely recommend!

We spent two nights at Guillaume’s place, in a connected building next to his home, and had a really lovely stay. The space is small but full of warmth, and we felt very welcomed from the moment we arrived. Guillaume is such a kind and generous person—he even allowed us to stay a few extra hours after check-out, which we really appreciated. One note for future guests: the windows face the kitchen of a nearby Chinese restaurant. While there’s no visibility inside, you can hear some cooking and conversation during the day and evening. Thankfully, it’s completely quiet between 10 PM and 6 AM, so getting a good night’s sleep wasn’t a problem. Thank you again, Guillaume, for your hospitality—it was a pleasure staying at your place!

Thé accommodation was absolutely fantastic.. we enjoyed it a lot.. The house is perfectly secured.. hopefully I will be back soon. The rooms were spacious and the living room provided a real homely feel.

We had a fantastic experience staying at this Airbnb! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was perfect—quiet, safe, and close to local shops, restaurants, and public transport. It made getting around really easy. Our host was incredibly responsive. Absolutely lovely accommodation, beautiful and spacious. Room has sky lights with shutters and plenty big windows for fresh air. Has seriously everything you need from heaters and extra blankets to mosquito lotion. The welcome goodies like fruit bowl, yoghurts and juice was a thoughtful offering (delicious rusks!) It’s a pity the microwave was dirty and didn’t work properly but other than that we were able to settle in perfectly and felt right home. Super close to Sandton mall and in a great area, no problem with ubers. Definitely an enjoyable stay :)

I'm spending the long weekend in Addis Ababa for a quick getaway from Hargeisa, and the place I'm staying at has been absolutely wonderful! The accommodation is just as beautiful as it looked in the photos. I've had a really comfortable and enjoyable stay here!

beautifully designed home with everything i needed :) stayed here a ~month and remotely worked with strong internet and tranquil work space. loved waking up in the mornings and opening doors to hear monkeys and birds. outdoor patio space was perfect to relax and couldnt hear traffic or anything. the house had everything needed to cook, laundry, relax, etc. corne was super accommodating and helpful. checking in to make sure i had anything i needed. bridgette was also helpful with anything needed on site. highly recommend!

We throughly enjoyed our time at Henri & Madelein’s air bnb .. I loved the design of the space and Madelein was very helpful when it came to checking out. We travelled up from East London and couldn’t think of a better place to stay in Potch! We hope to be back soon! 💚

Beautiful house, very pleasant to stay in thanks to its large spaces and brightness. You feel like you're in harmony with nature. Everything is in place for an idyllic stay in Arusha. You can alternate peaceful and literary days by the pool or discover the surrounding places. Excellent starting point for activities: Arusha park, Chemka hot spring, local markets… The staff is caring and attentive to needs. Excellent!

Our stay at Lorrain’s place was fantastic! The unit was impeccably clean, well-stocked with everything we needed, it looked better than the posted photos and the location was perfect for exploring the Kruger. Lorrain’s and staff were very accommodating and provided great local recommendations - we all loved it, the service and the FOOD were unmatched. we would definitely stay here again!".

Tina is a great, very warm and welcoming. Enjoyed our stay at her place, it was quiet and peaceful. She gave us good guide for the area from close shopping malls, transport guide and the hidden gems for a perfect family outing ……

We had the most fabulous week at Nina’s — it was an utter dream. The staff were incredible. The beach was idyllic. And everyone was so helpful and made our week perfect. Thank you to everyone for looking after us.

I would recommend Airbnb to anyone. We stayed there for a week and it's just fantastic. Clean Airbnb, warm pool and lots of animals to watch from the house. Communication was also very good. The landlords respond very quickly and were very helpful. They sent us direct information about safaris and also gave many great tips about the area. Kruger Park is also only 20 minutes by car. We took a trip all over South Africa with about 10 different Airbnbs and this was by far the best, really dreamy!

We had a wonderful time at the Villa. The photos do not do it justice. Wish we’d booked for longer. Will definitely be back. Tabitha and Joseph were brilliant. Thank you.

The best house I have been to by faaaar. What a spectacular gem. Serenity at its best. We fell in love with the house upon arrival. It has everything you’ll ever need. The hosts Rivonia, Frans and Liezel are the most lovely I have ever experienced. Rivonia met us upon arrival and was so sweet and helpful despite our late check in. She always went the extra mile for us and ensured that we felt right at home. She gave us all the info we needed and was available to help with anything we needed. Enjonjo is really heaven on earth. I can truly say it’s the 9th wonder of the world ❤️
