Family-friendly holiday rentals in East Cook

Jereme, was so helpful with all aspects of our 4 night stay at this Beautiful spot near the Poplar River. Skiing out was a breeze and we had enough snow to ski all the way back as well. The kids enjoyed the hot tub and pool at Caribou and everyone enjoyed this wonderful skiing experience. Great host and great spot at Lutsen Mountains!

We had a wonderful family get-away and Rick's home was the ideal place to stay! The location was perfect. The views of the lake were spectacular and the home was cozy with many thoughtful amenities.

My family and I had an amazing time at the Loon’s Nest. It’s the perfect place for any time of year with gorgeous views, excellent amenities and is the perfect size. Brian was an excellent host and was extremely responsive to any questions we had. We are looking forward to booking here again in the future!

The place is wonderful! Loved the design of the house, which is modern for the area but still suits this charming small town. We loved walking to the nearby coffee shop and then having coffee on the upstairs balcony with a view of the lake and the town. The space does have a lot of stairs, which we didn’t mind, but may not be suitable for all guests. The place was clean, well-stocked, and inviting. Great location! The host is friendly and communicative. We hope to return! :)

The cabin is beautiful, peaceful, remote, inviting, very clean, and so comfortable! It was a perfect getaway for our family. Access to the sauna at the Lodge was wonderful. Very kind and responsive host. Thank you!

We had such a peaceful trip and will 100% be back for a longer trip. The views are absolutely amazing, the lake is clean and beautiful. So quite and relaxing. Ely has some nice restaurants and we are looking forward to coming back to explore more.

This is our second year staying at this Airbnb and we cannot wait to go back. The location is perfect (30 second walk to the lovely lodge and Raven Rock Grill), plenty of room for our large group, and a beautiful view of Devil Track Lake. There were also some furniture updates since last year which was great!! Looking forward to next year.

Joan and Don’s place was beautiful and they were very responsive. Don built much of the place by hand which is impressive! We enjoyed seeing faint northern lights, playing board games at the big table, cooking in the chefs kitchen, and baking in the sauna by the lake. For a remote winter getaway with a large group, this is the place.

Our young family and dogs had a blast at this cabin! Extra private, easily accessible beach, and close enough to Grand Marais in case we wanted to do touristy things. The only suggestion I'd make if visiting in the summer is to bring extra strong bug spray as the mosquitos and flys can be relentless. Other than that, 10/10 would stay again!

Fantastic place to stay in a peaceful location!

The place was warm and inviting. There was no hassel of checking in, plus we had all the comforts of home, a livingroom, a kitchen, and extremely large bedroom. The place was more than we expected and the beds were very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again on our next adventure to ThunderBay. Not to mention the price was perfect and Terri was great with offering ideas where to go and places to eat. Thank you again.

Wendy’s Airbnb is in a very convenient location, especially if you’re having to walk at all. Wendy will greet you upon arrival, and I found her to be incredibly friendly and personable-she’s truly great to chat with and was very accommodating throughout my stay. She and her husband reside upstairs which makes for quick and easy communication. Personally I find it valuable when the host is on site as it makes it feel safer, and I’ve had issues at other properties where hosts weren’t present. I’d seen this ad before but hesitated because it’s a basement apartment. Upon checking in, I was pleasantly surprised-it’s much brighter and more welcoming than the ad suggests. The apartment was very clean, the bed is soft and comfortable and coffee pods are provided, which is all I really ask for when staying somewhere.🙂The beautiful little backyard is obviously well-tended, and there’s an area where you can sit out in the sun. This Airbnb feels like a home away from home, and I’d stay again.

Serene, cozy and spacious place. It felt like home away from home. The living areas were so comfortable and spacious. The rooms were perfect for our family, including the bonus 2nd loft area that worked great for additional sleeping space. The kitchen was well stocked, as well as an abundance of board games to keep us busy in the evenings. It is an easy 15 minute drive to skiing at Lutsen. The area is quiet and peaceful right on the lake.

We LOVED our time spent at Highlander Cottage! I agree with others that the photos don't do it justice - it is even more wonderful in person! Such a unique setting in an absolutely stunning location! We joked there was no need to even leave the deck ;) We sat for hours just taking in the view! Bonzi is just wonderful and the effort and heart they have poured into the cottage is incredible. Many thanks to you Bonzi - we cannot wait to return!

The unit more than met expectations. It was clean, spacious and very comfortable. There was easy access to stores and expressways. We will definitely be coming back again.

This cabin stay was exactly what I was seeking in the North Shore. It’s a perfect launching pad for so many hikes and state parks. The back deck with views of the river was a peaceful place to relax and dine. The host was friendly and welcoming. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to unwind and connect with nature.
