The apartment is perfect for two people, very bright and clean. The area was very good, with a supermarket, greengrocer and cafes right next door. The apartment is new and close to neighboring villages.

Pablo has been a perfect host. From the first moment he and if it wasn't possible for him, they were available for everything we needed. The check in instructions were very clear, we had no problems locating the apartment. Both the area and the village are very quiet. The entrance to the parking was a bit narrow for the car we were carrying, but behind the food market in front of the apartment there is a public parking lot with plenty of space. The house was perfect, both cleanliness, and utensils, and they left us some coffee capsules for the coffee machine on the floor and some typical cookies. They also left us to spare towels. We forgot the keys inside the first day, and it took just an hour to come open (it was already late). We also got the blackout there, and Pablo wrote us when there was coverage in case we needed anything. In short, he is an excellent host and we are delighted with the experience.

Friendly people, great welcome and apartment did what we needed

After spending the last four weeks here I am so sad to be leaving Portugal. The house and the area are just beautiful, and I could not recommend this place enough. A car is a must, but it’s a very pleasant and straightforward drive from Porto airport. The village has a river beach, but if you prefer the sea, Caminha is a 50 minute drive and it’s definitely worth the visit - the beaches are beautiful. Forte da Ínsua restaurant is a must! I would also recommend a day trip to Tui, we took a boat ride and looked at the history and it was just wonderful. I’d also recommend the boardwalk hike along the river from Sistelo. The views are just incredible! The house is in a very rural area, so this place is perfect for anyone looking for a quiet retreat. A huge thank you to the hosts for being so helpful and accommodating!
