Small cottage with charm on Øståsen in Vikersund. 40 min walk uphill from the parking lot. Here there is a simple life without electricity and water. The way up is a nice ride, a bit heavy for some lots. Recommend to go up before dark. Remember good shoes and warm clothes. Here you can find quiet among the treetops. The large windows provide a panoramic view of the landscape and the night sky. Built in solid wood, with an area of 27 m2, it gives just room for what you need for a relaxing trip away from everyday life. If you want activity, you can rent electric bikes, stroll down to the climbing park, or explore the local community.

The cabin, built in 2014, is beautifully situated by Holmevatnet at Fagerfjell with a view down to the lake. The cabin has all modern amenities, parking right outside the door, and sleeping space for 9. Swimming opportunities are right below the cabin, and ski trails are on the other side of the road. Excellent sun conditions, with sunlight all day from sunrise until it disappears behind the trees around 21:30 in the summer. Idyllic both in summer and winter! 1 hour and 50 minutes from Oslo.

It is about 450 meters from the lake and 10 minutes drive from the ski slopes of Norefjell. The high mountains of Norway starts here. The trolls are in the woods just behind the cabin. They are all nice.
