It is located on top of the mountain with spectacular views of the Gulf of Nicoya and the best place to watch sunsets when the weather allows. It is a one bedroom non luxury house that was built by one of the first Quaker settlers in the Monteverde area. It is fully equipped with a kitchen, washing machine and dryer for the best comfort. Nice house with incredible views, not only to the Arenal Volcano, but also to the Tenorio and Miravalles Volcanoes and the town of La Fortuna. The design of this house is inspired on the Oxcart which were very important for the economy of the country on the 1900's. You will also find our grandpa's Oxcart next to the house, and it is very photogenic, so feel free to take a nice picture of it, with the Volcano at the back!

Casa Rural El Mirador offers the traveler a fully equipped kitchen, TV with Netflix or YouTube, air conditioning, and the peace that can only be found in the countryside. Bath towels and basic items such as shampoo, body cream and soap are also included. The only place that has hot water is the shower, since Costa Rica is a warm country all year round so it is not customary to put hot water in the other taps.
