Excellent place, private and surrounded by nature, we would definitely return

We had such a wonderful stay at Meylin and Bernard’s cabin! From the moment we arrived, Meylin was incredibly friendly and responsive. When our car unexpectedly needed a jump, Bernard was at our door within minutes, happy to help — we were so grateful for their kindness and hospitality. The property itself is unbelievable. The cabin is perfectly situated with the raw jungle behind you and a charming farm filled with all kinds of animals in front. If you love nature and animals, this place is a dream. During our stay, we saw so many sloths (including one right outside the bedroom window!) that we felt no need to join any of the sloth tours in town — the wildlife literally came to us! Overall, this was the perfect romantic escape and an ideal base for exploring La Fortuna’s breathtaking sights and hot springs. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and peaceful experience surrounded by nature.

Beautiful place! We could not have been happier with this cabin. Only thing I would say is make sure you turn right leaving here, because the road is difficult going the other way. It was very clean, safe, and a gorgeous location.

The place is beautiful and the view spectacular, everything clean. Same as photos. We recommend taking a large cart.

Ok, the place and the host are perfect. The problem is that it says San Ramón and maybe it happens to them as we imagine it as close to San Ramón center, but no! Literally, it is Peñas Blancas, it is about 20 or 25 minutes from Fortuna, so if you think of something closer, it is complicated because it takes more than 3 hours from San José. So, for them to take it into account, but it's totally worth it! The cabin, the river, everything was great, to be honest

My husband and I stayed here for almost a week, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Costa Rica. The property is nestled in a secluded, private area that feels like your own little hideaway in nature. It’s perfect for a romantic escape. It gave off such a peaceful, treehouse-like vibe, and everything was beautifully clean and well maintained. One of our favorite features was the balcony with the jacuzzi, perfect for relaxing in the evenings while taking in the views. The host was incredibly friendly, responsive, and offered great local recommendations, including a few nearby restaurants we really enjoyed. While it’s about a 30-minute drive from downtown La Fortuna, we honestly didn’t mind it at all. The tranquility and beauty of the property more than made up for the distance, and we’d absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat.

This place is awesome. Secluded yet right by everything. The tree frogs come out at night and sing you to sleep and the tropical birds awake you in the morning. There is a bit of a construction site near by, so a bit of noise if you like to sleep in, but nothing too major. You can walk anywhere in town that is necessary, but we had a car and found parking easy and convenient. Host was responsive the whole time and extremely helpful. The hot tub made this place feel truly amazing. 10/10 recommend

If you are like me, always looking for views and sunsets don’t think twice! This comfortable little mountain home has by far the best views we have found so far in Monteverde. We usually head out at sunset time looking for a good spot but this stay we spent every evening watching the spectacular and ever changing panorama from our own front porch. Super comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. Would like to add Waze will get you to the lower gate (search Casa del sol, Unnamed road). Just continue on the unpaved road and you will get there! Village is called Altos de Cebadilla.

Beautiful!! It was exactly what we were looking for and had a view of the volcano too. Description mentions we might see some bugs because it’s in nature but we didn’t see any! Super clean and the bed was so big and comfortable! Also Melania provided great local recommendations and it was very easy to find. We definitely would stay here again and recommend it!

Jose’s place was just like the pictures, incredible! It really feels like you are in the middle of the jungle, you can hear all of the different types of animals, it’s amazing!

For the moment we saw we knew it was for us everything was spotless well equipped with everythingwe need it Mony was very nice to work and communicate with very quick to respond

A beautiful, private feeling accommodation in a very safe location which is easily walkable to restaurants and shops. You will feel secluded in nature with the birds and the squirrels but also have all the conveniences and comforts you want. Silvia was really responsive and let me into the accommodation as soon as it was ready which helped with my early arrival. Note that although the place is quite private there is a soccer field not far which sometimes had people there quite late so bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

Where to begin...a beautiful location outside of the thick tourist zone of La Fortuna. The views and surroundings were breathtaking. Only about a 10-minute drive into the center of La Fortuna with great dining options. The house was clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Agustin was responsive and very friendly. Highly recommend this stay for you and your family! Would also be very private and romantic for a couple.

Very special was that the place is in the middle of the rainforest and you have a great view and surroundings there. Animal sight and sounds including river at the property. The privacy and check-in process are great! We would recommend it to anyone who really wants to be in the middle of the jungle.

We had been traveling around Costa Rica for 3 months and towards the tail end of our trip, we wanted a stay that promised quiet and solitude - Michael’s place definitely delivered! The verdant peaceful surroundings makes it easy to just stay put on the property and enjoy nature. Michael very thoughtfully designed the landscaping to be an extension of its mountain/jungle surroundings. The interior space is cozy and clean with a very well equipped kitchen, which is important to us because we like to cook. Michael was a top notch communicator, always ensuring we were comfortable and had what we needed. All in all, a 5 star stay!

We stayed at this cabin over the weekend and it was a wonderful experience. The cabin is super equipped, it lacks absolutely nothing, and everything is arranged with great pleasure and care. It is beautiful, cozy and very comfortable. What we enjoyed most was the huge green space surrounding the cabin: ideal for resting, getting fresh air and especially perfect for children to play freely. My baby was very happy, and that is priceless. Definitely a place we want to go back to. Highly recommended for families looking for tranquility and connection with nature without sacrificing comfort!

Beautiful accommodation, with incredible views. From the moment you arrive, surrounded by hydrangeas. It has wonderful gardens. Everything in excellent condition. The cabin is beautiful, well designed. It has a huge window that allows you to see all the gardens from your bed. It's very safe, you have a lot of privacy. Super comfortable beds and pillows. Very well located near a gas station and convenience store, Poás Volcano Park and 40 minutes from the airport. It's a gem. I highly recommend it. And by the way, they have very friendly dogs on the property. They are beautiful and they will suddenly greet you

This place is a little slice of heaven. Absolutely beautiful surroundings, gorgeous property with everything you need to enjoy a private oasis. We loved our experience and we will definitely return. Monsarrath is a fantastic host. She was responsible, helpful and very kind. 10 out of 10 recommend!!

This is the perfect place for those looking for a romantic, more off the beaten path location while exploring La Fortuna. The flora and fauna on the property and the design choices inside the house were beautiful. Only 30 min from the main area! Orlando is an above and beyond host as well. From detailed instructions and guidebooks, to small details and kind interactions. On our first day, he walked us around the property, showed us a sloth family, his family’s fruit farm, and cows. He was so friendly and we really enjoyed talking with him and learning about his life in Costa Rica! It’s one of the kindest gestures we came across on our trip. Should keep in mind that this is more of a cabin than a house, so no AC and some encounters with bugs are to be expected. If you’re not bothered by that (we didn’t mind at all!), then your experience will be perfect.

This Airbnb is absolutely beautiful. The view from the cabin is stunning and we saw so many birds including toucans right from the deck!! It’s absolutely spotless and had everything we needed. About a 7 minute drive is Rancho Alegre San Vicente restaurant and we had most of our meals or afternoon coffee there. We hiked to waterfalls right from the restaurant and the staff there was so friendly. The owner of the Airbnb was incredible and left us little treats in the cabin like crackers and cookies and even came by with his daughter to meet us and make sure we were finding everything ok. If we make our way back to the area next time in Costa Rica we will definitely be staying here. I wish I could give it 10 stars!!

Gerardo and his wife are very kind, always attentive and very helpful. The place is beautiful, it conveys peace and tranquility, the location is perfect if you want to rest and disconnect from the daily routine. We recommend this accommodation and hope to return soon!!
