We had a fantastic stay with Carlos. Carlos gave us clear directions and was helpful with suggested places to visit including Praia do Grande which was a beautiful sandy beach, like being in the Caribbean! The accommodation was very clean and well equipped. We loved squeezing the oranges and lemons from the garden and the peaceful surroundings. Lots of places to sit in the garden, always an opportunity for a sunny spot. There were restaurants nearby and a supermarket in Monchique. We only had a short 3 day break but can’t wait to go back. Thank you, Carlos, for a great stay!

Beautiful setting and so peaceful. We stayed for 2 weeks in June 2025, the location is high up the mountain so can be cool in the mornings and evenings. However we loved having an open fire in the evenings and James provided all the wood we needed. James was quick to respond when called upon. We loved the space this property gave us and grew to love its quirky design layout. We would certainly recommend James and “villa de Cima” one thing we would advise is having the pool heated. Jose’s place is welcoming, comfortable and very accommodating with thoughtfulness in the details. A great location in the charming town of Monchique. I would love to return one day.
