Our place is great for folks who love the outdoors, music, small town charm. We are around the corner from a famous mountain bike trail. A 10-20 minute walk takes you from one end of our town to the other. Including the best ever organic ice cream shop, a deluxe health food store, live music, brew pubs. Fairfax is a destination town with fun boutiques, drop-in yoga, eclectic restaurants including an exotic tea salon, and hundreds of cyclists touring through. Maximum stay: 6 nights.

"Lovely" (the name of the guesthouse) is a perfect, economical nature getaway spot to relax and explore the rugged, beautiful nature of Point Reyes, just 1 hour north of San Francisco. Situated on five beautiful mixed wooded and landscaped, primarily flat acres on a hill overlooking Tomales Bay, this cozy, private cottage is one of several structures comprising the beautiful and famous Van der Ryn Ecorefuge, created by the renowned ecological architect Sim Van der Ryn.

Maple Cottage - peaceful and elegant

The Maple Cottage was designed by the owners to be a sanctuary for guests to their home. Surrounded by forest, Japanese gardens and water features, Maple cottage boasts large custom windows on all sides that let in ample light and provide views of the surrounding garden. The quiet, stand-alone cottage is nestled in between the two houses on the property. There is a garden patio for guests. Guests park in a designated parking area and a lit path leads you to the cottage.

Comfy and private freestanding studio with large deck. The studio is nestled in a grove of live oaks, and overlooks a quaint market flower garden. This is a bed and breakfast, offering coffee, tea, fresh fruit, oatmeal, granola, juice, milk, oat/almond milk etc. This fenced-in property, and large, private, covered deck provides safe storage for guest bikes and sporting equipment. Local trail maps provided for your hiking and biking adventures!
