The houseboat itself is a dream and superbly located, if on the one hand you love the beauty and tranquility of the countryside, sheep and green meadows on your doorstep, but on the other hand also like to go to the beach or to the cities. The train is quickly reached and that is a big plus in the parking situation in Amsterdam. Leonora and Erwin were easy to reach and always there for us when we had questions. Super friendly hosts! It was just great! One of the most beautiful accommodations we have visited so far. With so much attention to detail, Janet and Auke have created a feel-good oasis that leaves nothing to be desired. A wonderful place to relax, recharge your batteries and enjoy both the beautiful home and the surroundings to the fullest. What a gift this stay in the beautiful backyard at Lucy's. A perfect addition to completely unwind. It has made me humble and really made me feel how simple life is. Lucy herself is also a very warm and wise woman, and I felt very welcome. The short but immediately beautiful conversations and the loving attentions make the stay a memorable one. Rarely seen such a beautiful place to stay! The house is so cozy, lovingly and tastefully furnished. You feel right at home! And the garden is simply a dream. Right next to the forest, so you can hear the birds in the morning and evening. I'm sure we'll be back!

We had a wonderful time and can highly recommend staying with Christine – especially for families with small children! Already upon arrival, we received a warm welcome. The play barn was decorated with great attention to detail and excellently equipped - a real paradise for our 2-year-old son. He was particularly enthusiastic about the animals, which he greeted every morning with joy. The time on the pasture was a real highlight for him, and he already misses his animal friends. The apartment also left nothing to be desired: very clean, well equipped and with everything you need for a relaxing family vacation. The large garden was a dream - with a natural pool, sauna and many play opportunities for our little one. So we as parents could also really switch off in between. The area offers many beautiful excursion destinations, which are also suitable for small children. We felt completely comfortable. Thanks for everything!!

This is the perfect place to stay when visiting Alkmaar! It is close enough to enjoy all that the city has to offer, yet it also provides a beautiful, peaceful escape from the business and crowds. Han and Kelly were great hosts, providing helpful recommendations and even rides from the train station and into Alkmaar. We also enjoyed hanging out with the dog, cat and chickens! We would definitely stay here again.

We spent wonderful days with relaxed hosts, in an extremely stylish and very well-kept cottage in which nothing was missing for two. We enjoyed the romantic large garden with old and rare trees and plants in the best weather. The three cute runner ducks, who happily used their large garden area, were very refreshing. The dyke and North Sea were close by and Sexbierum was a good starting point for cycling trips in the surrounding area. We would love to come back! With best regards Burkhart und Caroline

We had a great week with our two sons (2.5 and 5 years old)! The accommodation is highly recommended, super nice apartment, lots of play options for the kids, indoors and outdoors and a super nice hostess. The area is very quiet, which means you need a car, but that is also clear from the description. For this, you can let the children play outside undisturbed and we also slept very well. Many nice getaways nearby.

The house is beautiful and has a huge, well-kept garden plot. Children have many play options and space to run around. Dogs as well, and these are really welcome, as you can see from the bowls. Inside, the house is very well equipped, everything has been thought of and it is incredibly cozy. The decoration is very loving and suitable for the environment and house. We immediately felt comfortable and at home and really enjoyed our stay.

We didn't want to leave! You feel super comfortable and at home. The accommodation is as shown in the pictures and although you know what to expect, you are positively surprised. Werner contacted us proactively, is very friendly in communication and open to improvements, but hardly needs them. The apartment is very well equipped, very clean and the beds are comfortable. The terrace is a highlight anyway and the seclusion gives you a lot of privacy. The location is very quiet and secluded. However, you can still quickly reach shopping facilities, restaurants and the North Sea by car. We have been able to do a lot, be it excursions to the islands or to Denmark. A true heart recommendation!

We had wonderful days in Inken's studio at the Wilhelminenhof. The furnishings are very stylish and you can feel that not only good ideas and a sense of interior design, but also passion are involved. The park-like garden, the playground, the foyer for guests, the wind-protected glass house, ... are lovingly designed. We loved the path by the sea to Dornumersiel, the mudflat hike from the Wadden Sea Nature Park House, eating fish at the small harbor, the sheep on the dike and our day trip to Baltrum. Since we arrived by bus and train, we of course also found the bus stop right in front of the house great. Thanks for having us as guests.

We had wonderful days there, and we were able to enjoy this little break as a family. Sigrun and her husband warmly welcomed us. I would book there again immediately and can highly recommend it.

We had a great week staying at Maison d'Hotes. The space is really nicely converted, very comfortable beds and lots of interesting decor. And as the hosts have animals, we had lots of nice interactions with goats, chicks, ducks and more. The village is very pretty, too. Expect to have to drive a bit to reach days out, but the Netherlands are not big. We used park and ride (P+R) to reach Utrecht. Thanks Emmanuelle!

Very charming and lovingly furnished house with a pretty garden on the canal. Beautiful view and quiet location. We enjoyed it very much.

Very tastefully decorated cottage. Self-made furniture, very nice bathroom. Modern electrical appliances. Small covered terrace, super nice location and wonderful view. Perfect for relaxing.

We felt very comfortable at Ympkje. The apartment was as shown in the pictures and very nicely decorated. As a welcome greeting, there was even cake and fresh flowers. The location was very quiet, easy to find and only 10 minutes from the sea. Ympkje was very helpful and always easy to reach. The apartment has everything you need for a stay. The only drawback is that the bedroom is not separated from the rest of the apartment by a door. We were there with our little son, can highly recommend the accommodation and would travel there again at any time.

The farm house is peacefully located. I spotted two deers on my morning walk with the dog. There is more than enough space for everyone. We were six adults and two kids. The house is lovely and clean. You feel home immediately and it has all the amenities. The beds were comfortable. One night we even had a chef cooking for us which was truly an amazing experience (miesvdveen). Gelly was very friendly and welcoming and went above and beyond sending us items that we left behind. Can totally recommend.

We felt completely comfortable! Aartjes warm manner made our holiday start before arrival – especially the fresh flowers to welcome us were a wonderful gesture. The apartment is very tastefully furnished, well equipped and provided with high-quality materials – you can immediately tell that it was designed with a lot of attention to detail. The garden room with fireplace and the private garden invite you to relax, even our dog was warmly welcomed and felt visibly comfortable. There are beautiful places to discover in the area, lots of nature and great excursion options – perfect for relaxation and variety. The accommodation is very private and offers plenty of space even in bad weather. Shopping facilities and a health food store are quickly accessible by car. We highly recommend this beautiful apartment – and will be happy to come back!

Sabine is an extremely courteous and accommodating hostess. She was always immediately available to address our concerns. The location is very quiet and the apartment is completely private. Caroline and Jan are super friendly hosts! Their amazing rustic accomodation almost makes you feel like you have home back in time. We loved that it was dog friendly too. We visited in April/May and the temperature was perfect but I think it would be quite warm in summer without airco. Saying that - if you are looking for peace and quiet and 10-20 minutes from amazing locations in Friesland; look no further!!! Would recommend!

Cathrin is a great host. Very responsive and ready to help. Her place is very nice. And the garden is breathtaking. I would describe it as a two bedroom apartment with a nice beautiful loft that can function as a third bedroom. The space that is listed as a third bedroom is a couch in the kitchen area. If you are traveling with little kids this might function well for you but we were three adults and everyone needed some privacy. We solved the problem by using the beautiful loft area as a third bedroom and all was good. Overall, good experience.

Our stay in the ecological tiny house with mini farm was really a dream. From the first moment we felt welcome, especially by Joyce, the warm, caring and sincere hostess who makes this place even more special 💛 The tiny house is cozy and cleverly furnished, completely in harmony with nature. Outside, an oasis of peace awaits: whistling birds, roaming chickens and goats with character (we were almost inclined to take them home with us😄). 'In the evening, we enjoyed the hot tub under the starry sky and let all the tension melt away in the sauna. A place where you can completely disconnect. Thank you Joyce for your hospitality, your smile and the love you put into this place. You can feel it everywhere. We went home completely recharged and will definitely come back! 🌾✨
