Ruthven Steadings - what can we say! Fantastic accommodation in a wonderful setting. The cottage is spacious, clean and has everything provided that you could wish for in a short stay. Communication with Judy was first class and its location is perfect to explore the surrounding Cairngorms. We also ventured further north to Inverness/Loch Ness, which is only a 40-minute drive. The adjacent village Kingussie has all the amenities you need - we were regulars in the co-op! - while you are only a 15-minute drive from Aviemore, where we dined out. All in all, a fantastic stay - we would highly recommend this accomodation and will be doing so to family and friends!

This is a lovely and spacious cottage with an amazing location! The small village is very relaxing and quiet, just what we were looking for. There are so many different types of landscapes to hike around very close by, marshes, lakes, forests, rocky mountains, heather fields, grassy pastures... The house has A Lot of helpful maps and brochures to pick the perfect route (with options for all abilities) if you have not come prepared. The location is very convenient as in 15-20 min you can reach the main motorway that cuts through the Highlands. It's only a bit more than an hour away from Inverness and about two hours away from Glencoe. Though with the national park at your doorstep you are already spoiled for choice and don't need to go far to enjoy some of the best landscapes in Scotland. Bridie was attentive and easy-going. She provided clear instructions and a lot of suggestions for local activities and amenities. We wish we could live in the cottage forever 😊

We booked this place to climb Ben Nevis which was just over an hour away. Really nice house and quite a peaceful area with great views, would definitely recommend. Thanks

We had great time staying at Sophie's and Cristian's place in Kingussie. Great location for our trip to Scotland. Flat was clean, beds were comfy and the shower was great, added bonuses with shower gel and soap. Kitchen very well equipped with all the items you’d need and all very clean and well presented. Definitely recommend the place if you are planning a trip to Scottish Highlands. Best regards!
