GreyWood

Szarewood is a 19th-century cottage at the end of the road in the village of Szare, in a quiet area close to the forest, with a murmuring stream in the background. There are only two houses in the immediate vicinity, so you are more likely to meet roe deer and deer at the fence than people :) We arranged the house with early retirement in mind. However, life has changed our plans, so we want to give others a chance to feel the freedom that this place gives. If you are looking for peace and quiet and like contact with nature, this is the perfect place for you.

Charming cottage in the mountains with sauna and jacuzzi

We invite you to a beautiful wooden house with an outdoor glass sauna overlooking the forest and a hot tub where you can regenerate. (note: in winter, in the case of cold conditions, we reserve the possibility of temporarily turning off the hot tub from use). In the house 3 bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms. In winter, we offer 2 cool ski slopes nearby: Zagroń and Golden Groń. And a great ski resort in Szczyrk is 45 minutes away. IMPORTANT: It's a good idea to bring chains in the winter for safety.

Stay in an interesting place. Away from the city, but with great potential for all kinds of activities. You will find "Zacisze" in a house with a large, slightly "wild" garden, through which a stream flows. The area of Godziszka - near Szczyrk - on the other side of the Skrzyczne mountain, allows you to use ski slopes, bike paths or mountain trails. The interiors of "Zacisze" have been maintained in a rustic style where part of the furniture was made of natural materials, i.e. real wood.

Surrounded by a large garden, it's the perfect haven for those who want to relax in nature, amidst the buzz of trees and the singing of birds. It's also a great base for walks, mountain hikes, and bike tours along the shores of the lake. The cottage is located in Stryszów, close to Krakow (1h), Wadowic (15min), Oświęcimia (45min) and Zakopane (1h30min).

There are many hiking trails nearby, you can go hiking or cycling. The place is also a good starting point for skiing.

To save money on hotels, I renovated in 2012 the second apartment in the basement of our house to offer accommodation to artists and performers coming to Stanica & Nová synagóga art centres where I work.
