A day like a gift (Welcoming you in the forest, Minjoo Mountain)
'A day like a gift' is an experience-type accommodation located in the forest at the top of Domaryeong (700m above sea level) in Minjujisan, Yeongdong-gun, Chungcheongbuk-do. We have remodeled a wooden house (Dalbat House, 2005) and a family-built earthen house (So Young Hall, 2006) for our elderly parents, so that only one team of guests can stay in the entire house. Recently, a tree house (Wol Forest House, 2024) was built on a 6-7 meter-high Japanese cedar tree in the Wol Forest, and this can also be experienced for free. The experience is divided into traditional cultural experiences and ecological experiences, which are offered in a variety of paid and free experiences. The mud house was built with wood, earth, and stone from the moon field, like the mountain village of our ancestors. You can experience lighting a fire in a traditional house, where you can feel the wisdom of a house that is cool and warm. The words 'A day like a gift' are engraved in the merchant room of the mud house. We will try to give everyone who comes here a simple gift called 'a day like a gift'.

We hope our memories will become your story.. O:U started with O (our) 'our memory', but it is a space created with the hope that the moment you stay here will lead to U (you) 'your story'. As a child, the time I fell in love with movies in a small attic of a country house, my father's LP music flowing in the living room, and meals shared with laughter in the yard... those small but warm moments have stayed in my heart for a long time. Here at O:U, we have prepared this space with the hope that music, movies, and delicious food will blend in with those memories. Just like my precious memories, I hope that the moments here will be a warm story that you will remember for a long time.
