Waterfront holiday rentals in Government of Amsterdam

Our second time at Sebastian’s wonderful Airbnb. This location is perfect as it’s quiet and yet very near the busier sections of town. Sebastian is a terrific host and everything is as described. He is very friendly and makes sure all is well:-) You will not find a better property !

The apartment is very centrally located. We had bicycles with us and could reach everything in up to 10 minutes. The apartment is very nice and clean. Alex gave helpful tips and the correspondence was quick and easy. Would love to come again anytime.

The location was excellent, we were able to walk everywhere. It wasn’t too close to busy streets, so it was very quiet at night.

Great location - just a few tram stops from Centraal station and right in the middle of a buzzy area with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Fantastic view from the balcony over the canal and local streets. Host was friendly and very flexible - good, clear instructions via text and we were able to stay later than our check out time. The apartment was clean and very well-equipped with everything you'd need. We appreciated that there were dishwasher tablets, shower gel and other essentials provided. Beds were big and comfortable and there was plenty of hot water for a family of four. The only thing to bear in mind is that the interior stairs up to the living area are steep, curved and backless - so it's not ideal for small children or anyone who isn't steady on their feet. Overall, would highly recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Sharine and Keon’s place! The house was spotless, cozy, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. It’s located in a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood, with easy access to everything Amsterdam has to offer. Sharine and Keon were fantastic hosts—very responsive, thoughtful, and welcoming. Their home had a warm, personal touch that made us feel comfortable and at home right away. It was the perfect space for our family, and our little one especially enjoyed it. The apartment, the location, the design and layout. The host & hostess. It’s all flawless. If I have to comment, I always say: check the gorgeous plant has water! We are all responsible for the greenery.

I enjoyed the neighborhood. Lots to do without being in the middle of tourist attractions. Hans is a great host.

We had a wonderful girls' weekend at the accommodation! The house was exactly as described – very clean, lovingly furnished and well equipped. We especially liked the cozy living area, where we could sit together for a long time in the evening. The location was ideal – quiet but still easily accessible. We really enjoyed our stay! After a long day of traveling, we greatly appreciated the quiet and beautiful surroundings, especially the extremely comfortable beds! The only issue we encountered was that the previous guests had left the downstairs windows open, resulting in a lot of flies inside the house. Esther's team tried to remove as many flies as possible before our arrival, and they provided us with an electric fly swatter to handle the remaining ones. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in Amsterdam or the Abcoude area!

Beautiful home in a suburban neighbourhood.

We were a group of girls at Leon's house. It was really super nice, everything you need and much more! And I liked it a lot. The house was clean and it is really fast to go to Amsterdam by public transport or car. We will be back!

We were traveling by bike and used Ben and Inge's accommodation for 3 nights. On the one hand, the proximity of Amsterdam (with a bus stop nearby and the train from Weesp... totally easy!) and the really beautiful small towns of Weesp, Muiden and Naarden. Inge brought us an incredibly great breakfast every morning on request. She is a great, very friendly hostess. Thank you very much for this great start to the day. We felt totally comfortable with Ben and Inge and appreciated their hospitality very much. The small independent apartment is very quiet, very clean and cozy (as in the photos). ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Magical Stay on the Water! Staying at this river Airbnb in Amsterdam was hands down one of the most unique and unforgettable experiences of my travels. The location is beyond dreamy — right on the water, with stunning views of the canal life drifting by. Waking up to the gentle ripple of the river and sipping coffee on the deck felt like something out of a movie. ✨ The interior was cozy, stylish, and spotless — you can tell the hosts put a lot of love into making the space warm and welcoming. Every little detail, from the plush bedding to the curated local decor, made it feel like a true home away from home. The hosts were absolute gems — super communicative, thoughtful, and even left us a welcome gift with local treats . They gave us great recommendations for places to eat and explore, and made check-in a breeze. Being gently rocked to sleep on the river, then waking up to swans gliding past the window… I can’t imagine a better place to stay in Amsterdam

It's a beautiful place in a lovely setting. You will need a car or a bike to access public transport unless you are a very enthusiastic walker

We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The place was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and smelled amazing from the moment we walked in. It was also very peaceful — no noise at all, which made it easy to relax and get a good night’s sleep. Our host was incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to assist with anything we needed. We felt very welcome and comfortable throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Provided lots of recommendations and were so accommodating. Our family of four found the apartment to be perfect for our needs, it was relaxing and peaceful after long days of walking. Bill’s apartment was fantastic for our stay. The parking was great and felt secure, and the tram link into Amsterdam is just around the corner. Great value for anyone looking to explore Amsterdam and be very comfortable over a long weekend!

Monique was a great host. She welcomed us and was very flexible with check in. The apartment was very nice and exactly what we were looking for while we stayed in Amsterdam. It is located outside the city center so the area is quieter and less busy, but the city center is easily accessible via a short walk and a ferry across the river. There are many good restaurants in the area as well. We rented bikes from NDSM based on Monique's recommendation and it was easy and fun. Overall the Air BnB was clean and cozy. We would definitely book it again!

Frank is a warm host, who was very responsive and was waiting for us when we arrived. The apartment is as advertised- beautiful, spacious, central location with views of the Amstel River. It is a 3rd floor walk up. The stairs have to be approached slowly and carefully.

Amazing stay with Iwan. Tucked away in quaint neighborhood. Uber easily accessible to the main part of the city but lots of restaurants/ cafes/ and grocery store within walking distance. Lots of stairs going up to apartment but Iwan was so kind to help us with our bags on arrival which made check in a breeze. He was very responsive as well. Apartment has multiple hatch windows which give Beautiful panoramic views of the city. Would stay here again and recommend to all.
