Family-friendly holiday rentals in Grand Port District

a superb holiday in a faithful and comfortable rental. adapted and dunctional pool. Good hygiene and a verandah with ocean views. the furniture is in the theme of the island and gives a lot of charm to the stay. the only downside is the weak wifi in some rooms of the house, otherwise there is nothing to say. very good stay and the pool was a plus for all the family. The concierge is really great and responsive.

We had a wonderful stay at the lovely house. The location is superb, so is the garden.

My wife and I stayed in Nicolas' home on our honeymoon, and we could not have been happier. Nicolas' brother, Armand, was generous enough not only to pick us up at the airport (about 45 minutes away from the home), but also to show us a good breakfast spot and eat with us on the beach, find us a car to rent and then drive us to the car rental place and help us coordinate, jump our car later in the week when it wouldn't start, and stock the fridge with a few essentials. Aside from his incredible hospitality, the house is a dream: four gorgeous bedrooms (the one we stayed in even had air conditioning!), and an unbeatable view from two patios that we ate breakfast on every morning. The house is conveniently located to great beaches and Mauritius tourist attractions (Casela Nature Park, Black River Gorges, Tamarin Falls, just to name a few, and not too far of a drive from the south's main attractions either). If we ever return to Mauritius, it will definitely be to this home!

We stayed for a week at Harry and Malini's. The accommodation is very well located, close to the sea and shops. I have nothing else to say, our week was excellent! Thanks to them for hosting us and for their kindness.

great stay! the villa is very large with 4 suites...with bathroom and outdoor shower. and large space. the beautiful and amazing pool! we also took the services of Poorinha who is very helpful and cooks wonderfully! in summary: excellent stay in the villa just a note about the condition of the house which is fine but is starting to age a little.

Lovely flat. It is about a 5 minute walk to the beach one way and 10 minutes the other way Parking is easy, good internet. And excellent value and communications. The big tv was great during the cyclone. We just used our Netflix account. A few small downsides The Hottub is run down and cloudy The terrace furniture is old and worn. If it rains you won’t be able to use the cushions for days. The kitchen could be better equipped. Wouldn’t have been an issue save for the cyclone None of those things were big issues for us We would definitely return. 6 days there cost the same as 2 days in our hotel in Belle Mare.

The location in the middle of the national park is fantastic. Quiet and safe without a rental car, however, you can't get very far here. The house was much nicer than you could guess before and the perfectly furnished kitchen surprised us very much. We have never had such good amenities in an Airbnb Everything was clean and tidy and we really enjoyed the time. The pool was pleasant and the air conditioners in the rooms worked very well. Only in the living area it was very warm, unfortunately you could not spend a longer time. Mosquito spray is highly recommended, but that applies to the whole island. Thank you for the great time.

We stayed at this property for 3 nights and it was fantastic. The property and the entire estate complex, in which the property is situated, is a delight. Mr. Roelf provided with very specific instructions for checking in and provided with necessary information. The amenities provided by him were amazing, including board games and tennis rackets and scooters to commute within the estate complex. It has a great tennis court. Now, specifically the situation of the property is such that it's overlooking the mountains and estate itself serves as a private yacht parking for individual houses. The view is beautiful even when you're simply relaxing at the private deck. The location point could serve as a central point for going either way to Tamarin,Le Morne,Casela Park,Seven Colored earth and Grand Bassin. There are a couple of supermarkets within 3 kms range. The only missing thing was a water purifier for drinking water at the property. Rest all was great. Overall, a wonderful experience

Sheila was an exceptional host, friendly, always responsive to calls/texts and even went above and beyond to assist us during our stay (especially with her family for airport runs and car rental!!) Our lengthy stay was a home from home! We couldn’t thank her enough 🙏🏽 The place is a nice, big spacious apartment in the heart of rural Mauritius, small local shops close by - be prepared for some bugs in the evening, but friendly (and shy!) geckos, who actually help eat the bugs! Belle Mare beach (one of the best on the island) only 10 minutes away by car. La Riviere restaurant was also recommended by Shelia and is must to eat at, no need to make a reservation, you can just turn up! On our last day we also visited an island called Ile Aux Cerf which was a short drive and then boat ride away! Shelia also provided us with basic essentials: water, juice, sugar, cutlery, cleaning products and household basics. On top of all that she also provided a very useful welcome guide. Overall 10/

It was such a warm couple by these lovely couple who kept in constant touch with us from the time I booked their property. The location is extremely convenient. The stay was very comfortable. Highly recommend it!!! Thank you both 🙏

Set in a very quiet street and a very easy walk to the beach and shops. The main supermarket as Cascavelle is a 10 minute drive. The apartment is just as described and tastefully decorated with everything you need for a short or long term stay. There's plenty of space with a large dining area, well equiped kitchen with an added extra of a water filter jug. Beautifully decorated bedrooms, one with an en suite and also a large seperate shower and toilet for the other bedroom. The open plan lounge area has comfotable seating and a tv. There is a seperate breakfast bar by the kitchen hatch area. AC is available in the bedrooms and lounge. There is a small covered seating area outside. I was able to put my car inside the property. Wifi reception is very good. The property was spotlessly clean and I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you want easy access to many of the beautiful sights in the south of Mauritius. Thank you Shanon and your family for making my stay so lovely.

We were allowed to spend 10 nights at Amelie's place. She's a great hostess with lots of tips and nice conversations. The property is centrally located in Tamarin, shopping nearby and less than 1km to Tamarin Public Beach. Through the hostess's garden you can reach the beach for magnificent sunsets and in the morning you can discover dolphins. The place is nice and big and has a great outdoor kitchen with living area right by the pool. If you have a light sleep, you may be woken up by car traffic in the morning. The southwest of Mauritius is perfect for hiking in the national park and many other activities. We would stay with Amelie again the next time we visit Mauritius.

Very good stay, the apartment was well located in relation to the beach of Le Morne (10 min by car) and the neighborhood was very quiet. Our children enjoyed the pool. Arwin was very responsive and accommodating, especially for the rental vehicle that we rented from him and that we were able to pick up and return to the airport.

Neat and clean. warm welcome by the host and instructions were clear. we had some grocery free of charge too, much appreciated from all the people who stay there. Would recommend surely.

We had a wonderful week in Tatiana's beautiful apartment. The view of the Indian ocean was spectacular. We practically had the pool and beach to ourselves when we were there as very few others around. Tatiana was very responsive, particularly when we had an issue with the hot water on day one. It was all fixed very quickly. I hope one day we can return as it was the perfect base for us to explore the area. Thank you!

I’ve been staying at this property on and off for the past four years whenever I visit Mauritius, and I can confidently say — this is one of the best hosts I’ve ever had on Airbnb. The house is always in perfect condition: spotless clean, well-organized, and fully equipped for a long-term stay. The garden is beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere feels calm and cared for. The host is consistently responsive, thoughtful, and reliable. Everything you might need is already there — just unpack and live. If you’re looking not just for a place to stay, but for a place to be, this is it.

Both Virginia and Reena were fantastic. We felt they went over and above to make sure we were well looked after and happy. The house is fabulous, probably better than the photos, the views are stunning. Some of our stay we were the only ones on the property and always felt safe and secure. This was our second time at Flamboyant View and we plan to return.

We stayed 5 days and 4 nights at the Dilmed residence. Pleasantly surprised by the walking distance to the center of Flic en Flac and the shops around. The photos of the listing are identical to reality and the apartment is ideal for a couple. The essentials are present in the accommodation and a small + a plate of fruit and juice are offered upon arrival. Martine and Sabrina are easily accessible and on site every day if needed. Housekeeping is done 1/2 times a week, and sheets and towels are also changed. The host Ziaad is also available by phone, I recommend +++ and I assure you that for the location the price is relatively affordable. If needed, a taxi from the airport to the residence and back. Feel free to ask Ziaad, he will advise you and book it for you at an affordable price, much cheaper than taxis to the airport. We can say that it's really the holidays. Thank you

The apartment was really great! The location in Black River (west of Mauritius) is perfect for excursions and daily supply (supermarket, restaurants, boulangerie etc.) is just around the corner. The apartment complex is very nice, clean, safe and well maintained. The pool and the lookout from there on black River Bay and Le Mourne is tremendously great - not only for sunsets. The apartment itself doesn’t lack anything. It was perfectly clean, felt very nice, private and welcome to be inside of it and the balcony is great to enjoy your food or just to relax. It’s in our opinion of a perfect size for four people (family) and the available utensils/ items in the kitchen are well thought-through. Priscilla is a wonderful host with a perfect balance of being very helpful, friendly and reliable without forcing you to anything. We would definitely recommend the apartment as we experienced it.

Rusty pelican apartment is easy to find, hosts are very nice and sending tutorial video, which is very helpful. Apartment is very big and spacious ! There is plenty of space for everything and lots of things included like pool towels. There are some minor things that can be improved but the hosts are very eager to help ! We had to cut our trip short and they were really nice in helping us !

Océane is an excellent host, she was super responsive and provided us with great local recommendations. The studio is as described in a beautiful small garden.

Fantastic 4 night stay - Yulia was very communicative right from the start and all instructions were clear and she helped us to organise car hire through a local agent, Nazim, who met us at the airport. The property was spotless throughout and very comfortable - Preety, the housekeeper, was an absolute delight - she cooked for us one night and we wish we could have stayed longer to taste more Mauritian cuisine! The apartment was excellently located for sunrise viewings from the beach, it is in a gated community with very friendly guards and the building manager, Kathy, came and introduced herself so we could contact her if there was any issues (which there wasn't!). We are already missing the snorkelling right off the beach - I saw an eagle ray on my first swim! We would highly recommend Yulia's apartment - stay longer than 4 nights!
