House holiday rentals in Grand Port District

We really enjoyed the three week stay, the house,fulfilled all our needs for the planned holidays. It is a typical Mauritian bungalow accommodation as described by Louis and exactly what we were looking for - space to enjoy with family, to sleep, eat and use as a base for exploring. The pool and the loungers were a welcome bonus, with the pool’s depth gradually increasing and deep at one end. It is regularly cleaned as well. We were welcomed on arrival by Kapil’s wife & son and they showed us around the property and explained everything. They were both lovely and we are grateful to them both and especially the son for quickly coming with spare keys one Monday when our dad, who stayed behind while we went to the market, managed to lock himself out of the house leaving the keys inside. We were worried as it was very hot and he is in his 80s. Kapil met us as well at the end of the stay and was very kind and helpful. We hope to return to Mauritius (this was 2nd visit) and to this house.

The promise has been fully kept! The house is very clean, welcoming and you immediately feel at home. The environment is quiet, ideal for relaxation. The host was extremely responsive, reassuring and very cooperative, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend it!

The apartment is very nice and spacious, with top amenities – there is really nothing missing! Air conditioning and fans work perfectly, which is very pleasant in this climate. A small minus point is the very narrow driveway into the yard, which requires some skill. As already known in advance, there is no direct access to the sea – however, the water is there, which occasionally leads to an unpleasant smell. Despite these little things, we can recommend the apartment with a clear conscience!

The host Mr Pascal very welcoming, very attentive, he is very responsive, helpful. The house is very spacious, comfortable and peaceful. It feels safe. In addition, what we appreciated was that he came to pick us up from the airport, he put us in touch with his brother who is renting a car and minibus, and he is also a very nice person, always smiling and helpful. We highly recommend it because we had a pleasant stay. David, Rebecca, Natacha...

This house is perfect in every way. For its location: on the beautiful and pleasant beach of Pointe d 'Esny. For absolute comfort: places to isolate others to share moments with friends. And finally, for the services of our caring hostess and her staff who are very attentive. Our stay is a success. We recommend this rental to go there without a second thought, you won't regret it.

Very nice apartment on the 1st floor. View of the beach and the sea with well-kept meadows and palm trees on the way through the garden to the sea. Shade to relax and read. No TV but not so important, rooms nice and with air conditioning, living area and kitchen very spacious. Kitchen well equipped and friendly welcome and always helpful. Regards, Jürgen

We had a great time at Tamam Beach Shak. The place is large and beautiful, very private (there was no one else in any other part of the property when we visited) and quiet (you can sometimes hear planes but not often or at night). The nearby beaches were lovely and not at all crowded. We didn’t do the boat tour, but they seemed promising. Local restaurants vary in vibe and quality, but are generally good (we recommend Bamboo on the coastal road). Mahebourg is not far, but there’s also not lots to do there, so we recommend you make the most of the lovely local beaches. Ambre and her crew were great hosts, sorted out airport pickup and car rental for us and were generally responsive. Bring beach towels (none at the place) and make peace with the beautiful resident gekko (we enjoyed its company).

Valérie is lovely and gave some awesome recommendations and was very responsive to any questions we had. Upon arrival we were provided with basics and little luxuries. The house is stunning and clean and the position is breathtaking. Everything you need is provided and the stacks of beach towels added a luxurious touch . Sabina - housekeeper - was super friendly and made the most delicious curries. The snorkeling right in front of the property was amazing. We will most definitely be back for a much longer stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Melissa's place. She was very helpful, flexible and responsive... and patient because we had many quacks that her kindness helped overcome! The place is a dream house: superb (more than in the photos), well equipped, with direct access and a view... We'll be happy to go back.

We stayed a week in the apartment. The apartment is very modern and newly furnished, also it was very clean It has air conditioning in each bedroom and living room, which was very beneficial in the hot temperatures. Patrice checked with us to see if everything was okay and was always very friendly. A contract is signed at the beginning and a deposit is payable. This is very professional and we have found it to be good. At night we could hear the barking dogs from the street even the windows were too. We can really recommend this place!

The apartment is the perfect location to explore Blue Bay with its beaches and beautiful coral reef, which starts just a few metres of the beach. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The kitchen is well equipped and very modern. There is also a washing machine, which is very helpful. The only negative point is, that the bathroom was not cleaned properly, we mentioned it to the host and he ensured us to take care of it in the future. The check-in and -out was very easy and the host was always friendly and reacted quick to my messages. We would definitely book the Airbnb again!!!

this is beach front but the beach is rocky. however the place is excellent with backdrop of mountain and easy drive to airport. excellent suggestion given for food places by the host considering we are vegetarians. good for 1 day Transit stay

We recently spent five nights at Jean's place and were thoroughly impressed. The villa's location is simply fantastic! Situated right on a stunning beach with a coral reef just 15 meters away, it's ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling. We had a blast enjoying these activities with our kids. The villa's terrace was another highlight, providing us with warm and cozy evenings accompanied by the soothing sound of the ocean waves. While the villa lacks air conditioning, the natural ventilation from its prime location on the Indian Ocean, coupled with the fans in the rooms, kept us comfortable. The helper was coming daily and Jean also recommended local fishermen who supplied us with fresh seafood for a delightful beachside BBQ experience. The only minor downside was the humidity, which is perhaps unavoidable when staying directly on the ocean in January. However, this didn't detract from the overall exceptional experience. Our family rates this accommodation 10/10.

The hosts gave us a very warm welcome, and we felt comfortable right away. The accommodation matches the description perfectly. Everything we needed was available, the location is great, peaceful, and the terrace is wonderful. We even got to use two bikes to visit a nearby mall, which was very convenient. Everything worked well, though the shower pressure was a bit low, but still manageable. The dining table is larger than shown in the photos. The bus station is about a 15-minute walk from the property, offering many connections, including to Blue Bay Beach (a must-visit for anyone staying here!). I would definitely recommend this accommodation!
