Holiday rentals with beach access in Great Rift Valley

I had a verry nice stay at Arsheen's. The location is perfect in the hearth of Stone Town. She was verry helpful and so was Mushtaq.

We were a family of four with two children ages 9 and 7 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in watamu. My children didn’t want to leave the pool and it was so convenient that it was right outside the veranda. The location is perfect. Right on the beach but so close to walking to lots of restaurants, shopping, etc. you can walk down the beach to hire a boat for a ride to snorkel and dolphin watch, you can walk out to the islands at low tide. We hired Joffit, a local chef at Federica’s recommendation , to prepare breakfast and lunches and do shopping. Would highly recommend to anyone else. It made the stay very relaxing. The flat was perfect for our family. Extremely clean, spacious and we appreciated the minimalist decor. We didn’t notice any loud noise like other reviewers mentioned. We could hear the waves at night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to enjoy Watamu.

Our stay at Simba Village was fantastic. The house was clean, safe and in a great location. Lots of places to eat and even the grocery store within walking distance. Rachel was so sweet and check in was easy and smooth. Elvis was in constant communication throughout the trip making sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great spot in the heart of Mombasa, easy access to the beach with a lovely pool. The house itself has everything you need, soft sheets and fans that keep the room cool.

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home — spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped. The bedrooms were cool and comfortable thanks to the air conditioning and fans, making nights by the beach relaxing and restful. The housekeeper Sylvia and the chef truly made our stay unforgettable. Their warmth and attention to detail made the house feel like home, and by the end of the trip, they genuinely felt like part of the family. The house has everything you need, including beach towels for both the semi-private pool and the beach, which is just a few steps away. Getting around was easy — we hopped on a tuk-tuk to explore the town and visit places like Stiltz, where we even got to feed bush babies! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would happily return in a heartbeat.

Anina was a great host and very informative and easy to get hold of at all times. The apartment is exactly as the photos and I would love to come back again to stay in the future. Don’t delay and book it today before some else does!

The beach cottage was absolutely amazing. My mum and I had an amazing three nights and we loved every second of it. The cottage is right next to the beach but the best beaches are about 10mins walk and another is about 10mins with the uber boats. Julius and Fondo made us delicious Swahili meals and their hospitality was top notch. Lamu is nothing like any other beaches in Kenya…it’s a must visit!

We lived our stay at the White House cottage. It exceeded our expectations and we would love to return. We are a family of four and it was perfect. The staff was so warm and helpful. Definitely hire the local chef recommendation. We had delicious food in the convenience of our own veranda looking at the ocean. The location right on the beach with the private, expansive grounds was perfect. The house has incredible views and is extremely comfortable. I highly recommend. If you have a big group, try to rent the White House next door and have an amazing holiday with family or friends.

It was amazing 🤩✨ The garden is really a little paradise, it was hard for us to leave The place to calm down and relaxing ❤️ it's super private, just Forrest and Ocean around you Abdu and Daud ("housekeeping") are also super friendly and always there if you have a question. We really would recommend the place if you want to take some time for you and your loved ones ❤️

My family had a wonderful 4 nights staying at Margo’s property - very private, very large functional bedrooms with fans, air conditioning and private ensuites, plus a separate fully self contained 3rd bedroom. A beautiful pool, 24 hour security onsite, daily house cleaning by Ester. And the dogs were super friendly and great company. If you like football, pack your boots and enjoy a game with the locals on the pitch next door. If you like tapas or just really good food - recommend having dinner at “ To Be” which is approx 1km from Margo’s. Couldn’t find fault with the accommodation or the lovely Margo as a wonderful host, who was available, responsive but also gave us total privacy.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely Airbnb! The space is beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The garden and pool area are perfect for unwinding. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything we needed, making it easy to cook at home. Check-in was flexible and hassle-free, and the host was incredibly kind, responsive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We would absolutely love to come back :-)

We had a lovely time in Susie’s place. Brilliant location, large pool, friendly staff. Communication was excellent, with a great information packet provided in advance. Highly recommended.

We had a truly wonderful stay at Maia’s place. The garden is spectacular and the sunsets even more so and with clear sky’s you can get some pretty great star gazing in too. The icing on the cake was Nema the house keeper/chef her cooking was amazing. Would definitely recommend for family or friends.

Fumba Town is a very nice place to stay: close to the beach and not far from Stone Town and the airport. The apartment is very neat and with tasteful furniture and good facilities like a washing machine and vacuum cleaner. An umbrella came in handy too :-) because it was the rainy season. Kwetu kwenu beach club is nearby and chill with amazing sunset views. Highly recommended, the apartment and the town.

It was a wonderful experience and the host was very supportive and prompt to respond, charming and helpful. I recommend the place.

I love this bnb! this was my 2nd stay and won't be the last. whenever am traveling to mombasa this is my go to spot. the bnb is beautiful the decor is kool unique and stylish . the seller is the view!! it's what really draws me there each time. loaded with amenities pretty much everything you can think of is there. very comfortable sofa seating and bed. I literally have no complaints the only thing that could make it better is if it was in a more happening area but it's easy to get around with ubers. the host is amazing she always gets back to me with any concerns and rectified them. she definitely takes wanting us to have a good experience serious. pro tip . there is a store nearby on called food plus where you can get cases of water, snacks and even food stuff for cooking. the big thing is there is also a pharmacy and atm in that same Plaza. good to know because there is not an atm at the premises where you'll stay. cash is king.

We had an excellent and restful stay at Claudio's! The photos do not do this listing justice - it is a very beautiful and thoughtfully designed space. The surrounding environment is very tranquil and just what we needed for our trip to Malinidi. The hospitalily of Henry is unmatched and he made checking in and checking out very seamless. I highlighly recommend Claudio's place. We will be visiting again!

Absolutely loved this beautiful and cozy spot. Great place if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful place to stay or if you plan to work from the apartment. The host is very responsive and made our stay seamless. Looking forward to my next stay here.

Susan’s place is a true gem. The beds were comfortable, always hot water and power, well equipped kitchen and a gorgeous pool and patio. Even niceties I dint expect like security cameras, house cleaning and a quality washing machine. You have all you need to live there autonomously. Next door is a great pizza place w vegan pizza and cocktails! Notes for families: the beach that is directly outside of Susan’s compound is not family friendly nor good for swimming (trash and khat chewers). But the cleaner swim able beach is just a 8 min Tuk Tuk ride away. Worth the distance to have such a gorgeous condo! The pool was shallow enough for my 5 yo to stand w her head above water but a short child or a younger child couldn’t stand. There is no “kiddie pool”

We had a lovely stay in Happy’s property, it was very clean and she was excellent at communicating no matter what time of day or night. There are guards on the gate which felt security and are also aware of Happy’s accommodation as an Air B n B and are on hand to help with amy enquiries. Everything is close by. We used the gym and the pool which were great! Despite there being a building site across the word which we were made aware of by Happy, it was still very peaceful and didn’t cause any disturbances. We would highly recommend and stay again when next in Dar. Thank you for having us
