I loved staying at Carrie and Brian's oasis! Their property is a literal dream! Serene and breathtakingly beautiful!! Carrie and Brian were so kind and thoughtful! The space felt so homey with special details like the railing along the stairs, lanterns that lit the path to the entrance as your walked by, and a little patio with a bistro table and chairs! I also had never slept in a King bed before so I felt like I was living at the Ritz! I hope to come again!!

It is a basement apartment. Excellent neighborhood. Looks newer. Very quiet, and low key. Easy to get to town. There is no thermostat and that wasn't good for us. The lighting is odd - you have to have multiple on or not at all. Other than that, it was perfect for our getaway. 2 bedroom. 1 bath, kitchen, and living room. Very nice place to stay. No phone service in the whole area should be noted, but the wifi in the home is great.

Kristin was a great host. Helpful and responsive in a timely manner. The home was clean and roomy. Very charming, and had all the characteristics of its age, which we loved! Including the creaky stairs, which the grandkids had fun trying to sneak up and down. It had the basics we needed to make it our home for the week. I Loved the porch for having my coffee in the am, the sound of the train in the distance. Simply, yet comfortably furnished and decorated. We were able to bake and decorate cookies and cake pops for the baby shower we attended while there. Beds were comfy and warm. Doors were a bit odd, with no locks, but we chalked it up to age and character. It was sweet that she had a dog bowl and clean up baggies for my pup. Easily accessible by the back door. Traveling with kids and pets can be stressful, but not here. Over all loved the location, lots of parks nearby, close to everything, and maybe 20-30 mins from south Detroit, Ambassador Bridge and other locations.
