Enjoy a stay in this fabulously renovated former railway cottage in Melton Constable, in the heart of North Norfolk The cottage has 2 large bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom with a roll top bath. The second bedroom is a super king or can be 2 singles. It has a spacious and well equipped kitchen diner and the added benefit of a downstairs shower room making it perfect for 2 couples or a family. The cottage is dog friendly with a fully enclosed rear garden and a parking space.

Older cottage type so steep narrow stairs and low doorways. Suitable for couple or with one child. Free car park across the road. 30 minutes drive to north Norfolk coast, local to National Trust houses and lots of walking trails.

We are situated 3 miles from Holt and approximately 8 miles from the beautiful North Norfolk coast.

The Barn at The Old Ale House is completely separate from the main house, newly converted to accommodate just two people, with a mezzanine bedroom, open plan kitchen sitting room, and a modern shower room. The Barn has underfloor heating throughout, and private parking to the front along with a small private garden. Lyng is situated in the Wensum Valley close to a host of amenities riding stables,golf, fishing, the coast is within easy reach as is Norwich Dereham and Fakenham.

Georgian Holt and Marriotts Way cycle path are nearby. With private parking we are perfect for a weekend away or longer stay any time of the year.

Showman's Wagon in Cottage Garden

Romantic 'gypsy' style showman's wagon (c. 1920) in idyllic cottage garden with wonderful birdsong and views of a medieval church. It was recently renovated with electricity, basic kitchen and has use of a private bathroom attached to the cottage as well as a piece of garden with outside seating and fire bowl. The Wagon is available in the summer months only - from Easter to mid September.
