The house has its own washer, dryer, free wifi and a TV. It also has a boat launch and fishing deck. Our house is located on a canal on the Atchafalaya River, addition to Butte La Rose, LA. We are exactly in between Lafayette and Baton Rouge, equally 30 minutes away from both locations!

My colleagues and I had a great time at Five Oaks Farms! We enjoyed coffee on the rocking chairs with the chickens in before and after our work days. Mark's camp was an incredibly peaceful spot on the bayou. We saw alligators every day right from the back porch....We loved canoeing and saw amazing wildlife (alligators, birds, frogs, a snake). We liked it so much we decided to extend our stay and extra night. Mark was extremely responsive and provided extra info to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Wonderful host!

“Atchafalaya Run” - The Cajun Riverside Retreat

Words can't describe how beautiful this place is. The set up, the views, the hospitality, the local culture,etc...... I could go on and on...! The host were top notch and couldn't have been more accommodating. If you visit make sure to take a swamp tour on the airboat just 15 minutes away..... and eat all of the local food you can find. We will definitely be back!

The Train Depot was so much fun! We stayed in the unique Blue Car, and we were thrilled with the many train artifacts scattered around the car. The lodging was clean, well kept, with lovely landscape and a patio area to sit or visit with others. The town of Grand Coteau has many excellent eateries and shops. We traveled 15-30 minutes away to visit neighboring towns as well. Our experience is one we definitely would suggest to others.
