Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Hermanus

Lovely and well kept, Heleen was super as a host, the location was amazing with clever architecture to hide from the wind and still enjoy the clear nights and days.

Sue is a fantastic and very sweet host! She was always quick to respond. The house had a lovely holiday feel to it.

Stuart was a great host, communicated promptly from the start, flexible with the check in and check out times and super friendly. The house and pool were a 'wow', both bigger than anticipated. The pool was 6x2.4 metres and deep enough to swim in and the little children in our party loved the seating ledge which was wide and long enough for them to play on when they weren't bobbing around on their floats. The house was well stocked with all the essentials and more, including extras such as beach towels, cleaning products, toiletries and condiments. The main bedroom had a stunning sea view and was very spacious and comfortable with a fabulous ensuite and patio area overlooking the mountain. All in all a faultless 5 star location. We would definitely recommend.

Spacious home perfect for large families or friends group. Centrally located near to shops, restaurants and the beach. Good communication with the host Tom. Would highly recommend it.

I am writing this review while we are still at the property. We have stayed in many AirBnB's, but never have we encountered a place as fascinating as Kloof House. Nestled into the trees, at the bottom of the mountains, is this haven of peace. Due to the way it is built we feel one with nature. The interior is thoughtfully dominated by wood and endless floor to ceiling glass, it is warm and intriguing. We constantly stop to gaze at the forest. It almost feels a bit like being part of Jurassic Park, just without the dinosaurs. Inside it is pure luxury, no expenses have been spared, top notch appliances and so generously stocked, incredibly beautiful and stylish furniture, insanely comfortable beds. The nature pool, large hot tub and braai area are a real treat. All of this coupled with the friendliness and immediate responsiveness of the hosts makes this getaway one we will never forget. We loved our stay in Hermanus! The home offers stunning views of both the mountains and the sea, and it is very spacious. It has all the amenities for a great breakaway — a fireplace for the colder evenings, a Weber braai, a coffee machine, a large TV for watching sport and movies as well as a very well equipped kitchen . An extra bonus is the work area which is private and has a lovely view over the sea. The location is excellent — very peaceful and walking distance to the beach and mountain trail. We also really appreciated the flexibility with check-in and check-out. The hosts were great with communication and very responsive throughout. Highly recommended and we would love to return in the future.

From the moment we arrived, our stay was truly wonderful. The house is located on a peaceful street where the sound of the ocean adds a calming touch to the atmosphere. It’s just a short stroll to the beach, complete with benches and scenic walkways that invite you to linger. The home itself is spacious and thoughtfully furnished with high-quality fittings that made our three-day stay exceptionally comfortable. We would definitely return to Clayden’s place in the near future.

Such an amazing apartment to stay! I feel like the photo's don't do it juistice. It's spacious, modern and equiped with everything that you might need. The place is also very conveniently located on the main road of town, surrounded by amazing places to eat and drink. We walked most places as it was so convenient. I would most definately book this spot again, just for longer!

Wow, what an incredible stay! Theresa's place is absolutely stunning, and she couldn't be a more wonderful and friendlier host. The attention to detail is impressive, and the thoughtful touches, like the birthday "surprise" for my wife, truly made our weekend unforgettable. The amenities are top-notch: a cozy lounge with both air conditioning and a fireplace (with wood provided!), a massive fully equipped kitchen, and a luxurious bedroom with an amazing walk-in shower. We've had some great Airbnb experiences, but this one truly stands out. Theresa's place is perfect for a relaxing getaway. We'll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to friends and family. Five stars isn't enough – we'd give it ten stars if we could! Thanks, Theresa, for an awesome weekend!

We had a wonderful time at La Mer flatlet. Beautiful views and good accommodation. It was cold and raining, but the inside fireplace was the place to be to watch the waves crashing over the rocks in front of the house. Will visit again. Good value for money.

Das Penthouse ist sehr zentral gelegen und biete Blick auf das Meer. Es ist einfach nur schön, auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und zu genießen. Die Ausstattung ist perfekt, es ist alles da, was man benötigen könnte. Suzanne war einfach zauberhaft und hat einen perfekten Checkin gemacht. Sie hat sogar Bescheid gesagt, dass wir bereits früher einchecken können. In wenigen Schritten ist man am Cliff Path oder mitten im Ort mit seinen schönen Läden und Restaurants. Werde gerne wieder kommen.

My partner and I came to celebrate our anniversary and Valentine’s Day. Elfriede made our stay so special and we loved every single second of the time we spent there. Thank you so much, we can’t wait to come back again. Definitely become a new special place for us. Xx

Kurzfristig konnten wir für einige Tage unterkommen und waren begeistert von dem freundlichen Empfang, dem schönen Haus und dem bis ins Detail ausgestattete Inventar. Zu Fuß ist man zügig in der Stadt und am GearingsPoint. Klare Empfehlung für diese schöne Unterkunft.

We had the most wonderful stay at India’s home in Hermanus (which with its expansive land so close to the sea felt like an estate). India was a delight to communicate with; responsive, friendly and helpful. Anton, the house manager is also great, and apart from being friendly and helpful, also looks after the house in an unobtrusive way such that it almost seems by magic that the house is cleaned, the fire is lit etc. We also had our dog with us which I felt was made to feel most welcome. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Hermanus!

Our stay at this beach cottage was nothing short of amazing! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene surroundings and the stunning ocean views. The cottage itself was cozy, clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway.

Just speechless. The place is beautiful, well located, and has every facility in the home you may possible need! My partner (who has little reaction to anything) said it was what he imagined paradise to be like. You can tell that so much detail went into the home - it was truly a sanctuary and we hope to stay here again. Thank you x

We stayed here for a weekend getaway and had an amazing time.The house was spotless and exactly as described. We especially loved the quiet surroundings and the beautiful view.,we had games and the house is so big ,clean and kitchen has everything.The host was super helpful and made check-in easy..The only small issue we had was the inverter kept on tripping but they fixed it for us we enjoyed our stay . Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a relaxing weekend away for group of friends or family, I will not mind coming back again .

The house at De Kelders is exquisite. The open view is 180 deg of sea view right above the rocks and the beautiful sea. Saw many seals. The house is beautifully appointed with stunning finishes. The house offers all the necessary amenities It’s peaceful and open plan. Both Hermanus and Stanford is close for restaurants and there are many accessible beaches. I highly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday

We had a lovely time staying in the house. It felt like a home away from home. Everything was super neat, tidy and clean. Very clear instructions. The host and the housekeeper are super friendly and constantly checked in. The house has everything you need and more. The view from the patio and living room is spectacular. Would most definitely book again.

We had an exceptional stay at this property-one of those life experiences we were glad to had.The villa itself is incredibly beautiful and looked exactly what the images showed. Super nice, clean, comfortable, and well equipped. We were lucky to spot a whale from the patio. Corné is a super-host with a flawless communication. Property’s caretaker Yoli is very helpful and kind. All good, and would definitely recommend staying here.
