Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Highland Park, Los Angeles

Cami's place was a great place for our little family of 4. Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood in South Pasadena there were a plethora of toys and puzzles available to our kiddos. Location was great. There are some quaint restaurants and cafes nearby, a Trader Joe's, the LA Metro Rail (Gold line), and the windy 110 freeway if you have a vehicle (which is kind of a must in LA). A bit tricky getting through to the rear bedroom as you have to go through the first bedroom, but we were able to make it work just fine. Also, I appreciated the digital detox of not having TV, nor WiFi available in the home.

So grateful for our friendly and helpful hosts! We had a relaxing and beautiful stay in this south Pasadena gem.

Our stay was amazing. The house is a peaceful oasis, but only a few minutes walk away from amazing stores and restaurant. The house has so much charm and the backyard is just amazing. Denis was so responsive, friendly, and the house manual was one of the best I’ve seen! Perfect spot for a comfy, hip, and relaxing stay in LA.

This is our second time staying at the treehouse. Just like before it is absolutely stunning! The view is to die for and the home is so comfy and well stocked. This time we stayed here to recoup from a week at Disney and Universal and didn’t leave the house for four days. It was the best place to relax. I won’t ever stay at another house in LA unless I have a large group.

Megan’s Spanish bungalow was incredibly warm and welcoming. It felt like coming home. The beds were so comfortable, to the point that I’m considering the mattresses for my own home. She left coffee for us, as we arrived late at night. And the garden is just incredibly beautiful. We’ll absolutely stay here again when visiting family. Thank you Megan!

I saw David was very polite and proactive in communication. Place is absolutely beautiful and everything works as it should. An amazing view and very peaceful and quiet. The master shower has an interesting layout, but had good water pressure and loved the smell of the hand soap, body wash, shampoo and conditioner. Kitchen has a wonderful set up with a bunch of extras that were unexpected, but very welcoming. The living room is a very comfortable area to relax in and has a really good surround sound system. Overall, this experience was a wonderful one and would recommend to anyone that’s considering this location.

I was visiting with my brother for my daughter’s graduation and this was such a perfect convenient and cool airbnb! It was so quiet, especially appreciated at night, the beds were great and the division of space was perfect. It was immaculate and stylish. Ac worked great, nothing tricky. We loved the outdoor patio as well. The neighborhood was safe and conveniently located for all we wanted to do locally and also close to all highways. If I need a two bedroom again I will try to book this for sure!

A lovely home and gracious host. Our family loved being together with lots of indoor and outdoor space to enjoy. Patricia was very helpful and immediately responsive when I reached out.

I loved my stay here at Mary’s place, and especially enjoyed spending time on the deck enjoying the sunset. Mary was a kind and courteous host and her space is private, comfortable and has everything you need to cook if desired. My only con is that you can hear the upstairs neighbor walking around quite loudly, and sometimes very late at night. Bring ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper. Otherwise, a perfect location to relax and explore the city, especially close to Atwater Village, Los Feliz, Highland Park and Echo Park.

We LOVED LOVED LOVED Elizabeth’s place soooooo much!!! We were completely wow’s by her accommodation & hosting. She brought us extra fruit on top of providing us with breakfast with all fixings you could possibly ask for our entire trip. Her coffee was delicious & the tea selection was incredible. She even left us a cooler of drinks & delicious snacks after we went to the football game nearby at the Rose Bowl. My girlfriend & I have stayed at over one-hundred Airbnbs combined & Elizabeth was by far the best host we have ever had. We felt so at home with her lovely decor, comfortable amenities, & safe surroundings. This was an airbnb experience we will always cherish & never forget. We hope to be back soon. Thank you so much Elizabeth for everything. We cannot stop talking about your place to our friends, family, uber drivers, ect ect. Your kindness & attention to detail is unmatched. Love John & Fabi

Peter’s place was amazing! It’s very private, but also in a great location. We were mainly in the area to attend a few Dodger games, and staying in this location made Dodger stadium so easily accessible for us. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We really felt right at home. Also, being able to park on the property and not have to worry about street parking was extremely beneficial. Peter is an excellent host and is very friendly! His instructions were clear and he also gave many recommendations for things to do in the area. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat if I’m ever back in the area!

Javier's place was wonderful. The views from the patio and the apartment are beautiful day and night. It's quiet and peaceful but with lots of food and market options nearby, and it's close enough to the freeway to make it easy to get out to other neighborhoods but no so close that the freeway noise is noticeable. During our week stay we cooked meals, ate on the patio, did laundry, did some remote work, and watched movies on the couch. It was a perfect home away from home.

I stayed at Taylor and Don’s for a week. I had come from Marina del Ray (staying with a friend) so had got used to that side of LA. If you’re from Melbourne AUS - it’s like Southside vs Northside. Coming to the other side as a woman traveling alone, I wasn’t sure what to expect with the area. But Taylor and Don were like instant friends; welcoming, super helpful, answered all my ‘can I walk alone at night questions’ and I felt super safe in their apartment. Plus I really enjoyed our other chats when I did run into them briefly. The apartment has everything you need. It’s cosy and warm when it’s cold and wet (random couple of rainy days); nice and cool after being out in the LA heat all day. The space is well thought out, aesthetically pleasing & has the best views to watch the sunset with a glass of vino. Plus it’s so close to good coffee & croissants (Doubting Thomas). It was also really easy for me to get to and from the galleries/sites/bars/shops etc on my list. Sooo I’ll be back!

This was my second stay here and I’ll continue to check if available when planning my next visit to LA. The apartment really is a Silverlake gem-great views, and love the easy walking distance to coffee, the reservoir etc. I’ve recommended this spot to others when they mention they’re heading to LA-highly recommend!

We were in LA for business meetings. Before we make a reservation, we compared Ali's condo with the other condos surrounding. He is the most responsive and most helpful host, and we are so glad and lucky that we made a correct selection and book Ali's house. He likes a local friend who provided us with not only assistance/guidance on check-in and staying but also touring and catering advice. He is super responsive, proactively reaching out to us offering additional help, and so friendly. The place is clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Guests can tell from the tasty design, details of guidance, and thoughtful and convenient amenities that Ali and his wife have spent great time and effort to make this place as welcoming and cozy as possible. This place is definitely our stay for next visit, regardless for business or private. The location is close to everything, peaceful, and in walking distance to my LA office and everything.

Fabulous DTLA apartment. Great living space. Close to restaurants, shops and USC. Didn’t get to use the pool but it looked great. Parking was easily accessible and a big plus. Would definitely stay again!

Pari’s place is bigger than it appears in the photos- really nice space. Modern and comfortable, fully outfitted kitchen, and plenty of towels/amenities. Contrary to other reviewers, I didn’t find the parking to be tough. I rented an SUV and just backed into the space without a problem - I can see how it would be tough for someone if they headed in- just do a three point turn up front and you’ll be fine :) One last comment- the location can’t be beat! Walking distance to so much (including one of my favorite restaurants, Green Street). And less than 15 minutes to Occidental College, where I was attending events. Great stay. Thanks Pari!

We had a great stay at William's place. It was very clean and roomy. You do hear the neighbors at some time but nothing bad. We would consider staying there again the next time we visit LA. Thanks William!

Massey’s place was stunning and super spacious. It’s in a great location with plenty of things to do. It was a great find!

Once again, Shant's place was the perfect stay! He communicates quickly, and keeps the place very clean. The rooftop pool is beautiful and relaxing! Bed is super comfortable! Having security at the entrance makes things feel extra safe! And you can't beat the free parking!!!
