Welcome to Gothem Viby B&B! Stay in our 139-year-old Gotland farmhouse in the village of Gothem, 35 km east of Visby.
We offer a cozy, recently renovated double bedroom (23 square metre) on the second floor.
Private bathroom with shower. We speak svenska, English, Deutsch, italiano.

Gothem Viby B&B is located in the quaint village of Gothem, some 30 km east of Visby.
The surrounding area is rich in culture and nature. Bike to the natural reserve of Storsund (4km from Gothem Viby B&B) and enjoy the outstanding bird life. The sandy beaches of Vitviken and Åminne are only 4km away. Walk to the medieval church (500m), one of the largest on the island. If you are in luck, you might experience Thomas ringing the bell at 6pm during the summer! There are plenty of trails around the house.
Don’t miss the ancient grave field of Trullhalsar or the ship setting of Tjelvar, Gotland’s first inhabitant.
There are some good dining venues within 5 km: a Mexican restaurant and a pizzeria and restaurant just around the corner, a coffee shop and restaurant in Vitviken and Åminne (4 km). A seasonal grocery store in Åminne (4km) is open every day in the summer months. If you want to buy local produces, Gothem is the place for you. Gothems handelshus sells local produces in Vitviken (bread, meat, vegetables, ice cream, sheep skin...). Jessica makes beautiful candles and Barbro Sandell is famous for her textiles.

Consuelo is a social anthropologist and research associate at Uppsala University campus Gotland and owner of YOUR GOTLAND TOURS, a tour operator that specializes in customized tours of Visby and Gotland. Thomas is Professor in Atmospheric Sciences at Luleå University of Technology. We are a multilingual and multicultural household. We have lived in many places: Germany, Italy, Canada, the U.S., UK, Norway, and Sweden. We love meeting new people and it would be a real pleasure for us to assist our guests so that they can discover and experience the magical island of Gotland. Welcome to our home!
