The reel em inn was better than expected! Great location, comfortable space, great host. The kitchen was fully stocked to cool your own meals with coffee and breakfast provided. The space was very quiet and comfortable. I loved listening to the sea buoy whistle me to sleep at night. Perfect spot for my dog to go run on the beach in the morning and evenings. Highly recommend the reel em inn!

This place fit our family of 4 perfectly. The beds were super comfortable, the entire place was well maintained, and everything was fresh and clean when we arrived. I highly recommend and will go back next time we visit the area!

Great place to stay. Comfortable bed and chairs, oven, private fenced yard for pets, good shower. We took our dogs with no problems. I would stay here again.

This was our first vacation since having our baby two years ago and I am glad we picked Rob’s place in Arcata. The check-in process was seamless with timely communication with Rob. The place was spotless and beautifully appointed in a quiet and cozy setting. The kitchen had all the equipment needed for a nice home cooked meal. The private outdoor space was perfect for our two dogs. The location was five minutes from downtown Arcata and 11 minutes from the beach. My family felt like this was a tonic for the soul. I would highly recommend this place and plan to book again for next year.

Very comfy home, a contemporary feel- lovely/tasteful furnishings in each of the rooms, High quality linens and excellent beds Attention to every detail. Kitchen well stocked with good cookware and knives. A tasteful set of quality ceramic type dishware. New washer/dryer - a bonus, along with a cleaned BBQ on deck outside. Quiet residential street, close to all points of interest, Old Town, Zoo (Skywalk through the redwoods - fabulous) and the many places of natural beauty (e.g., the dunes) that make Eureka a special place to visit.

My husband and I stayed at Lauren's place for 3 nights while exploring the Redwoods. We absolutely loved the place; it was like a home away from home! Lauren is a wonderful host with a kind spirit and a beautiful smile!

Barrie was extremely responsive & helpful from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a smiling face, kindness and a fabulous place that exceeded our expectations! Barrie goes that “extra mile” to make things super special for guests. The setting is peaceful, beautiful, creative and full of interesting things to enjoy, indoors and out. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay! Host communicates very well. Can hear traffic from road sometimes but it’s not too bad. Would definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay here. Close distance to redwoods which was exactly reasoning for our trip. Was comfortable. Restaurants within walking distance.

this was a great location to everywhere we wanted to visit. the apartment didn't even feel like a part of the house when there, it was secluded and private. super clean as well.

Karin is an old fashioned AirBnB host in only the best ways possible: she will personally greet and tour you through the unit, explain every amenity (of which there are many!), and gladly answer any questions you may have. We asked for food recommendations in the area and all of hers were spot on - we tried so many local specialties and enjoyed every one. The unit itself is a beautiful thing. One of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in, organic or natural soaps and snacks, and a backyard full of redwoods that’s a sight to see and explore all in its own. We were here for a weekend to visit Redwood National Park and found the perfect walking stick in the very same yard! This is 100% one of my top AirBnB experiences. The place comes as advertised and even more on top, but Karin made the stay a stand out experience. 11/10!

This was a very special, peaceful, and incredibly comfortable place to stay. The spatial organization of this studio is so well thought out. Moving through the space felt both cosy and efficient with everything we could possibly need and more. We loved the character and artistic sensibility of the decor and our hosts. My child who truly appreciates his creature comforts gave his highest endorsement. We’re really thankful for Bob and Amy and their lovely hideaway. If we ever come through Arcata again we would not hesitate to stay here again.

I can’t really say enough good things about this stunning place. The view? Like are we watching a TV screen of the most majestic ocean ever or is this the window? The fireplace. The locations. The staff. Legit, book it. Thanks me later. The price is great for what you get. Im a neat freak and Larry left our place spotless. Bottom line— I have stayed all over the world in quite a few hotels and b&bs but this is a place not to be missed. Just dont take the next days I want. 🤣 Happy travels all!

Susan and her sister Ashley's place was perfect for our needs. A friend and I stayed there for a weekend wedding. Parking was easy and convenient when we arrived. The balcony has such a relaxing view of the bay and Old Town Eureka. It provides plenty of opportunities for easily walking around to shops, eateries, and bars. If you're looking for a late night treat the ice cream parlor just downstairs was phenomenal. Cannot recommend this spot enough for anyone looking for a convenient place to stay in the area.

Had an amazing night staying at your place, The Exquisite. Check in was easy after getting cell service. My group, of 4, loved having a working, clean hot tub with a view after getting off the LCT after 4 days. 10/10 will recommend and will definitely keep your place in mind when we plan for our next trip at shelter cove. The place was and the view were better than we expected! such a beautiful spot, clean and a easy walk down the trail to the beach. we will 100% be booking again. 100/10! Simy was super helpful giving us tips and suggestions and responded very fast!

This place is such a gem 💎 🤍 hosts are so responsive and speedy, they reached out a couple days before check in and established contact 🤍 the room is amongst a larger inn but the entire establishment you can tell is well cared for and each room is just as wonderful as the next 🤍 location is amazing - isolated but a great sense of community there is a coffee shop that has delicious drinks and food just steps away from the inn. There are also numerous small restaurants within walking distance and it is worth trying them all 🤍 updated appliances and decorations, very clean and well kept with literally no clutter 🤍 the cove is incredible, beaches are clean and the water is crystal clear, it is a bit on the colder side if you choose to play in the water, otherwise the views alone are spectacular Will be recommending this place to all my friends. Excellent weekend trip and a great place to relax and recharge Thank you so much!

Bob and I took off our hosting hats and put on our traveling hats for this birthday getaway. We love Eureka and have found a new place to put on our favorite list. This Airbnb is everything you would expect from a five star Airbnb. Great location right on the water with beautiful views, secure building, all the amenities inside that you would expect, clean and well appointed… I could go on and on and on. We loved our stay and will definitely be back!
