Holiday rentals with beach access in Hvalfjarðarsveit

What a fantastic place right in the heart of downtown Reykjavik- minutes to amazing food and shops. My husband and I had an absolute blast! We had everything we needed and felt right at home. Highly recommend! Such a great energy and vibe.

Our family stay was very nice. It was easy to get into town and and other locations we visited. Garðar did a great job communicating and offering ideals for us to do. The place was clean and has everything our family needed.

Sigrún was incredibly helpful and was gracious enough to allow us to check in early. She had clear instructions and the place is about 15 mins away from the heart of Reykjavik. The place is right by the water and was very clean and well stocked. We enjoyed multiple “sunsets” from the shores. Thanks again Sigrún, we appreciate you and your place and will always remember it for our time in Reykjavik!

A great place to stay, close to the water, great views! Very convenient to do trips to the golden circle and south coast and around Reykjavik. Thordis was also an excellent host with very good communication before and during our stay with good local recommendations. Her place was also very comfortable, clean and made us feel right at home!

New, well stocked accommodations with a gorgeous view. Underground parking was a huge plus. Some construction in the area and not much around. But the stay was absolutely perfect.

The host communicated in a very nice way and replied fast. Accomodation was nice, very good location if you need to stay close to the university as it was in our case.

Thank you for your great hospitality and life lessons while we explored your beautiful country! Our most breathtaking day was driving up to Snæfellsjökull Peninsula/National Park. Your providing a car with the airbnb was so appreciated- as was the pickup from the airport and the stop to see your "friend". Thanks for making us feel at home while traveling abroad.

Had an amazing time staying Pétur’s place. Plenty of space for my group of 6 adults. Location was great, right by a domestic airport that didnt seem to be used much because I never heard a plane take off or land. Location is great, within 5-7 mins driving to the downtown area. You definitely need a car but Id say that for all of Reykjavic in general. Plenty of parking, we had 2 cars. The bathroom upstairs has heated floors, which was great during the winter. For NYE it was perfect because we could see fireworks from all of the town and we got really lucky and saw the Northern Lights very clearly from his place, probably not common, but it was amazing! Magical trip, will def stay there again.

We traveled with an infant and since no one was using the place the day before, Hildur allowed us to come straight from our flight! It was so incredibly nice of them and my daughter appreciated the opportunity to catch up on some sleep. Overall, the place is beautiful, spacious, and had an incredible review. I’d recommend this AirBnb to anyone!

Lovely house in a great location. Parking space available right in front of the house and getting in and out was very easy. Great communication from the owner. The house is well stocked, especially the kitchen so you have everything you need to stay as a big family. Fantastic views of Reykjavik while sitting in the Hot Pot... We were extremely comfortable and had a wonderful stay.

The location of the house makes the views from the living room, the kitchen and bedrooms really spectacular and unforgettable. You love sitting and sipping morning coffee there, however there is so much to do and see in Iceland that you also don't want to sit there for too long :)) There is a nice Icelandic swimming pool, a few cute restaurants, fabulous walking paths and two supermarkets within a walking distance from the house. It's worth to mention that the house has all the equipment you need. Well, unless you need a washing machine or a dishwasher.. It's an old style house but makes really a pleasant stay.

Notre séjour dans la maison de Hrönn et Ívar a été très agréable. Les hôtes sont très attentionnés et réactifs ce qui nous a permis de pleinement profiter de notre séjour ici. La maison est très belle et particulièrement bien équipée, la vue est absolument magnifique avec des couchés de soleil à couper le souffle. Nous recommandons vivement cette maison. Our 4 night stay in Larus’ Lakefront Villa & nearby attractions of the Golden Circle were one of the highlights of our trip-we highly recommend! His home is spectacular in every way, including a hot tub, sauna, a large living room/gathering space w/well appointed kitchen. Directly on a lake, without others in close proximity, it’s ideal for those that want to experience the splendor of this part of Iceland more privately. As a host, Larus goes above & beyond! We had brought some equipment to fish the river 100 yards away, but not small enough tackle. When we emailed him asking location of a tackle shop, after returning from a daily activity, we were surprised & delighted to find 2 more rods & 2 new trays of tackle appropriate for the trout in the river; giving 4 of our group the chance to do some fishing in Iceland. The apartment was great: clean, close to shops and restaurants, and in a quiet neighborhood. It was peaceful and had everything we needed. Beds were comfy and at night, it was quiet. We were able to make coffee in the morning with no issue. We loved our stay and were able to get an earlier check in, which was so kind. So appreciate it!

It was a great base to enjoy Iceland. Close to Reyjkavik as well as the Golden Circle and other sights. 100m from the beach and nice walks. Some of us went for a swim and it wasn't too cold. The house was as advertised; very spacious but underground.

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit Blick direkt auf die Bucht. Die Wohnung hat alles, was man für einen mehrtägigen Aufenthalt benötigt, man kann es auch für länger aushalten. Da wir ein Auto hatten, kamen wir auch schnell überall hin, die öffentliche Erreichbarkeit können wir nicht beurteilen. Alles in allem sehr zu empfehlen.

We rent a room just at our arrival in the middle of the night at Reykjavik. We find quite easily the appartement and how to get inside. The appartement is nice and we really live with her (same bathroom, kitchen living room) so it is full equiped. The owner is masseuse and the room in front of our room is the massage room and clients come quiet early. It is quiet for an activity but we did not know.

Stop! Look no further if you are looking for the perfect place to stay in Reykjavik. This penthouse is spacious, beautifully decorated, very well equipped for whatever you may need, and sparkling clean. The hosts were fantastic— they communicated with us clearly and honestly and provided everything they said they would. We recommend them as highly as possible and would definitely return here on our next Icelandic adventure.

I loved living in this house. I spent two weeks on a work trip there and it was perfect for that occasion. The ocean is litterally two minutes away, the garden outside the windows is lush and available, and the location is just great. Very charming house with a warm atmosphere. Helgi and his dog were amazing hosts, very helpful and generous, which made the experience just amazing.

This was a great value for us. Really a nice size with plenty of room for the four of us. I had some questions while there and they were answered very quickly. We also got some great recommendations before our arrival from Amos, very friendly and helpful. The free parking was a plus but we did find that if you arrive later in the day/evening, you will likely have problems finding anything close. Would still definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a nice place near town.

Hugrun’s apartment home is lovely, very fashionable and stylishly decorated. Our family of four felt comfortable and safe and enjoyed bringing in the new year with a fantastic view of the fireworks all around. We got around on foot, about 15-20 min walk to city center taking in the beautiful neighborhoods. The kitchen was fully stocked with appliances although no microwave for quick re-heats. And as described, one of the single beds is kid sized. We had a fabulous stay in Reykjavik and would stay here again.
