Holiday rentals with lake access in Illinois River

Ashley is a fantastic host; responsive, proactive, and helpful! The house was as described, and had all the extras that I value: tissue, earplugs, luggage racks, extra remote batteries, etc. Each room had comfy furniture along with great novels and coffee table books, games and DVDs for all ages. We opened the fridge to find a wonderful charcuterie board. What a nice surprise! Ashley was very accommodating with our special requests. The house and location make for a relaxing getaway, and I hope to return in the future.

What a beautiful home! We only stayed one night but I wish we could e stayed a week! The house was spotless, the beds comfortable, and the backyard and dock were a hit with the kids. Blaine was very responsive to questions and was super helpful with everything. We loved it!

Calm, serene, peaceful stay while also in close enough proximity to downtown STL. We enjoyed being close to nature. Lots of wood to start a fire in the fire pit, everything you need to have a good time inside or outdoors.

The Captain’s Quarters is a fun place to stay. We went for the outdoor activity but had lots of rain. No worries! The location is great and there was plenty to do inside - games, fireplace, television, and cards. The amenities are fabulous. Multiple grills (Weber, Blackstone), excellent galley kitchen, and appliances. Alex even prepared fishing gear for our stay. The home is full of light and quiet. The spiral staircase is a fun way to navigate floors.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful, comfy riverfront home! The peaceful setting and stunning river views made it the perfect place to unwind. The private beach was ideal for fishing, relaxing, and sipping coffee while watching the water. My 7-year-old granddaughter spent hours happily collecting seashells, and we loved ending our days with s’mores by the fire pit. The highlight, though, was the night sky—so clear and full of stars. Stargazing by the river was absolutely magical. It truly felt like luxury glamping with all the comforts of home. We’re already looking forward to coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, peaceful getaway with unforgettable views.

10/10 an amazing place for a vacation or even a staycation. It fit the 9 of us perfectly, neighbors were nice and the area was perfect.

For the little studio, I’ve got to say it is awesome, though, I like cooking so I usually stock up on food and the place had no panty, so I think it should have small one but it should, now, recommended, of course it was great, if you travel by self or a couple, it is a studio, location is the best I have to say, and the bed very comfortable. Thanks

This is the perfect Airbnb. My whole family enjoyed our time there. We had a great time checking out the animals. The area is very peaceful. The bathroom was huge and has plenty of towels. From the deck we could see skydivers. We got to check out Bob's airplane he is building. The owners were truly the best host anyone could ask for. We hope to make a return trip sometime. Kimberly's place is beautiful! The lake setting is peaceful and welcoming. The home has been wonderfully remodeled. All the furniture is comfortable and fits the beauty of the home! The kitchen has everything you need from spices to pots and pans as well as a few items for leftovers too! Beds were comfy. The deck was perfect to sit and have coffee on and watch the sunrise or a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the lake! We highly recommend Kim's place!

This was one of the best Airbnb stays I’ve ever experienced. We were here for a huge family reunion and our first time on the area. We wish we would have had more free time to enjoy the house. The view from the porch with a cup of coffee listening to the birds chirp and the fish splash was heaven. The decor was beautiful and the house was comfortable. Everything went well…we had no issues. Great stay!

Beautiful little lakefront home, even when getting rained in the extension on the home installed on the basement made inside only days exceptionally fun

Loved this little cabin! It was clean and we felt right at home. Great communication from the host and she even let us hang out a bit after check out. This was huge because we got in after dark and were only staying one night. The kayaks were a hit with the kids!

JJ and Sherri are fantastic hosts! We look forward to staying with them again!
