You know the graphic of the gem allocated to some listings? This is a super gem with a super human of a host. Gorgeous views all throughout the windows, wind rustling the leaves, comfy beds, mystique for us at any age including kids, a peaceful outdoor shower, a sublime creative renovation of the bus, and a host like the old days of AirBnB. I hope to be lucky enough to return one day.

3rd stay at the Hidden Gem and consistently an amazing spot to unwind and relax - last stay was a few years ago in 2018, and the standards are still as exceptionally high. Accommodation is spotless - it has everything you need to feel at home, and the host was very helpful before and during our stay with recommendations of local events. A welcome pack of bananas, crisps, biscuits and milk, all you need to kick in and relax straight away - Accommodation is well equipped -Mary Frances has thought of everything! There's enough between the accommodation (pool table, Pinball, Bar games, TV) and local walks/beaches to keep any age happy. Just an overall great place to switch off and spend some time with the important people in your life. will be back as soon as we can, as it's just perfect.

Had a lovely time, place was lovely, clean tidy, good spot, quiet, lovely scenery, secret walk to the lough, saw deer visiting the garden. Mo was a lovely host, greeted us when we arrived and said goodbye when we left. Provided delicious welcome cakes when on arrival, private garden, good food in restaurant 5 mins walk round the corner. Would love to go back there ❤️

Eine traumhafte Lage mit Ausblick in jede Himmelsrichtung, jeweils ganz besonders und dadurch nie langweilig. Ein guter Startpunkt für etliche (Wander-) Touren. Auch hierzu Tipps erhalten. Sonne (wenn Sie denn scheint) von morgens bis abends am bzw im Haus. Wir haben bereits nach wenigen Tagen entschieden, dass wir nächstes Jahr wieder kommen wollen. Zum erholen genießen und abschalten eine der besten Unterkünfte die ich kenne. Und keine Angst vor der Zufahrt, ist wirklich absolut machbar und fordert weder ein besonderes Auto noch einen besonderen Fahrer.

We maakten een roadtrip van drie weken door Ierland en verbleven telkens in Airbnb-huisjes. Eén van de absolute hoogtepunten was ons verblijf van drie nachten in Kennedy Lake House. Wat een plek! De ligging is simpelweg prachtig – een ideale uitvalsbasis om Donegal en de indrukwekkende natuur in de omgeving te ontdekken. Seamus is een ontzettend vriendelijke en attente host. Hij nam de tijd om alles uit te leggen, inclusief de boeiende geschiedenis van dit bijzondere huis. Het interieur is authentiek en sfeervol, de keuken bijzonder goed uitgerust, alles kraaknet én de bedden liggen zalig. De tuin is ook een mooie extra troef. Bij aankomst lagen er verse eitjes, melk, brood met boter en confituur voor ons klaar – zo’n fijne attentie! Kortom: dit is een Airbnb die we iedereen van harte aanbevelen. In één woord? Fantastsch.

We had a wonderful stay at Calla Beach House - quite a magical location. Everything was as described - in fact I think location and the house were better than described. A week of very good weather allowed us to make the very most of the beach and Connemara. I hope we get to return in the future! Thank you.

The mews is a charming, cosy space about 15 minutes walk from the quayside and a short car journey or longer (but very pleasant) walk. It was clean, well equipped and peaceful, with beautiful views across the bay from the front of the property. There is designated parking, and in the property there were helpful maps and details of local attractions as well as local taxi numbers. Patricia gave us several recommendations for places to visit, and Westport and the surrounding area is very beautiful. Highlights of our trip included horse riding at Carrowholly Stables and the Clew Bay Cruise. Great property, highly recommended.

a lovely apartment with everything you might need. Slept very well with the firm matress and quality bedlinen. Good shower pressure and lots of towels in bathroom. The pizza downstairs in the bar was so good that we had it 2 nights in a row. Really friendly and helpful staff in the bar who gave us plenty of recommendations for the area. The pub was full each night but we didn't have any issues with sound or noise from below. Highly recommend staying here.

Stayed here for a wedding in the Lyrath hotel which was perfect for us as it is very close by. Gorgeous cottage, very clean and had everything we needed. Marilyn was an excellent host would definitely recommend this place to anyone

Irish hospitality at its best. Our hosts were lovely, bringing us freshly laid eggs most days and usually around at the end of the day for a friendly chat. The location was great, we loved our evening strolls along the beach. We hope to return someday.

Comfortabel appartement in mooie en interessante omgeving met excellente gastheer Hughes en een niet te missen bar/restaurant ( Burke) als overbuurman. Ga daar zeker eens iets drinken of eten. Van harte aanbevolen!

My favourite place on Earth 😊 While it’s close enough to Dublin, it’s so private and peaceful it feels like you are completely away from civilisation in the most positive way. The surrounding are absolutely stunning, and there is a lot of sightseeing nearby. This place is just perfect for disconnecting from the busy city life. And lastly, Richard and Ben are fantastic hosts, very friendly, responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back here myself 💚

I have stayed in this cottage quite a few times over the years - and I always enjoy it immensely. The cottage is lovely, decorated in a style that suits its age, and set in the most stunning scenery. It feels as though you're in the middle of nowhere - it is so quiet the deer come right up to the patch of grass in front of the house in the evenings and there are so many different birds it's almost like an orchestra - but you're definitely not: There are two good restaurants in the area, a nice pub near a harbour, a lunchroom in gorgeous gardens and a very well stocked shop-and-tearoom only a 20 minute drive away. So yes, I will come again!

What an pretty spot direct on Lough Allen. Totally private and peaceful, a great place to unwind. Decorated with lots of personal individual things, very homely and cosy. The pictures speak for themselves. We enjoyed the peacefulness of the place and slept like logs.

We had a wonderful stay at the coach house in Valleymount. The house itself was spotless and very comfortable with everything you need. There is thought put into this house as an airbnb. The beautiful garden backs onto Blessington Lake, where we enjoyed a peaceful walk along the water’s edge, such a scenic and relaxing spot. The coach house is next to the main house but you feel like you are in a private space, sitting outside at the benches with a cup of tea relaxing after a day of touring was ideal. The location was ideal for exploring Wicklow. Highlights for us were Mount Usher Gardens, the Ballinastoe Boardwalk through the woods, and the incredible Avondale Beyond the Trees. We also took a trip into Dublin for some shopping. There were plenty of lovely places to eat nearby, especially in Hollywood and Blessington. A perfect base for both relaxing and exploring highly recommended. The host is friendly and welcoming.
