The Casa Giraluna was a great place that met our needs completely. Its an artsy pirate home and as a single woman travelling with two kids and a dog its was excellent. Its durable, comfortable, safe, fairly private and had all the amenities needed aside from A/C and laundry. However, there were fans, a lot of windows and a great breeze that was very comfortable regardless. The lagoon is beautiful to bird watch and catch the golden hours. The rooftop is a cool feature too! The kids loved the unique artsy features of the place, it feels like a beachy pirate home! I arrived very sunstroked and tired from our travels and Carlos was very kind and welcoming, I appreciate the hospitality! All in all it was great and comfy. My only draw back was that the smell of the lagoon occasionally wafted in which was potent but expected. As well a few mosquitoes! If you are prepared mentally for an authentic jungle stay (bring a little bug spray) this place is awesome. 🤩

My husband and I went on our honeymoon. It was an excellent idea to leave this accommodation for our last days... It was the best, super relaxing, a lot of connection with nature, the cabin was super nice, everything was very clean and as advertised. It wasn't hot at all, the water was super fresh, the hosts were very nice and attentive, they gave us recommendations and offered us to rent bikes to explore the island, which was completely worth it.

A real corner of simple and authentic paradise. I am surprised by the few negative comments read here — they do not reflect the reality of our stay at all. The cabins are charming, well designed, with air conditioning if needed and even a private pool for each accommodation: a rare luxury in Holbox! We are 100 m from the beach and a stone's throw from the center. Yes, the shower water is not hot and the flow in the kitchen is modest... but we are talking about an eco-lodge on a tropical island where it is 40°C in the shade! If you're looking for a 14°C room like an American-style air-conditioned hotel, this is simply not the right place — nor the right island. Here, we come to rest, slow down, live simply and enjoy nature. And that's exactly what Alan offers with a lot of taste and consistency. Thank you for this beautiful parenthesis.

I fell in love with the place, very comfortable, spacious, with all the amenities to be able to have a quiet stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The host communicated regularly, was very attentive and arranged our early check-in, which is greatly appreciated. This place was undoubtedly our favorite for the trip to the Caribbean.
