Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Isle of Arran

Wow! Wow! Wow! We were totally blown away by how amazing this place is. What a beautiful, characterful home. Very easy space to relax in, with everything you need and more. Stunning location. Sitting in the window or on the front porch the views were mesmerising. Half an hour to Loch Lomond and The Cobbler. Discovered the sailing club across the road and watched sailing races while enjoying a G&T. Brian the host is so helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again when we visit this part of Scotland. Thank you for a wonderful trip.

We were impressed by the photos on the website but the cottage was even more impressive than the pictures suggested. A spotlessly clean cottage, warm and welcoming, with lots of spaces to relax from the comfortable bedroom, spacious lounge, dining kitchen, cosy nook, and porch area at the back of the property. The garden was magical too, and I found myself drawn to wander around it, seeing something new each time. We were VERY lucky with the weather & the lower patio area was a fabulous suntrap! We have a friend who lives on Bute and when we come back we will definitely look to book Hawthorn Cottage. Thank you Rosemary, we had a wonderful stay.

Andrew's place is superb. He met us with a warm welcome and then we were shown our room which has the most incredible view out across the garden and the sea to the Holy Isle. Everything you need is provided for --extremely comfortable bed, very well supplied kitchen and a sparkling bathroom. For me one of the priorities in choosing an air b n b is that it should be accessible for me as a disabled person. Andrew's place fits the bill as i was able to easily access the 2 steps at the front of the bungalow on my sticks and then, again easily, transfer to using wheels around the property. Thanks again Andrew!

Had a great trip with 3 golfing friends . Location ideal for golfing and socialising. Would happily book again. Only adverse point was that bedside cabinets had not been cleaned/checked for items left by previous occupants. I raised that with Duncan who undertook to take remedial steps as a matter of routine.

Superb property. The house was very comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. Bedrooms all a good size and plenty of living space. The views across the loch are amazing. The kids loved playing hide and seek in the large garden, which is very private and not overlooked. We should have made more of the outside patio with the well appointed garden furniture. Lynn the host sent us really useful info about things to do and places to eat in the area. We did quite a few and they were all great recommendations. She also responded to queries about activities really quickly and checked in to make sure everything about our stay was going ok. Location is really good. Easy access to nearby Rhu and Helensburgh. We found it a good base from which venture out for a range of activities and big enough to spend time in the garden and house - and enjoy the views. A great property and brilliant host. We would highly recommend.

Had a great stay at the Mill Barn Cottage in Shiskine,Arran. Lovely roomy property with all facilities you could need. Good garden for the dog to run about in but had to take him in the car down to Blackwaterfoot beach to get him walked off the lead. Only 5 minutes away and great beach .

We’re just home from a 3 night stay here and this accommodation was just perfect! It’s set in a beautiful spot, surrounded by hills, greenery and with views of the sea. The entire place is extremely well cared for; we went with our toddler and baby and it was perfectly spacious for all 4 of us, (though it also has a wonderful cosy cottage feel to it)! The beautiful garden and decking look out to the sea; the rooms are all on one level; the kitchen and bathroom were pristine; and the sofas and beds were extremely comfy (the bedrooms having the softest carpet we’ve ever felt)! The location was also perfect - it’s a 2 minute (if that) drive down to Whiting Bay beach and The Shore cafe which we loved; a 20 minute drive to/from Brodick (great for the castle and ferry connections) and generally easy to find. David and Catrina were also such friendly, informative and accommodating hosts! We couldn’t recommend their place more and will certainly be back!

The place is very nice and quiet. I felt like I was at home. Moira was also very nice and friendly beyond description. The house is very clean. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need for cooking. The bathroom is clean and hot water is available. The water pressure is also great. Thank you so much for the hospitality and this will not be my last stay at Moira's house

We had a lovely stay at Katrina’s, what a wonderful location! Very comfortable apartment, had everything that we needed. Katrina met us and showed us around and shared some wonderful tips for finding the best beaches, restaurants, spotting the seals and pirates!

A stunning apartment which had everything you can need. Clean and modern with an unreal view of an evening sunset. Huge thanks to Megan who was extremely helpful and at the end of the phone when needed. Will 100% be staying again. Highly recommend!!

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb during Christmas! The cozy atmosphere, prime location, and festive surroundings made it a memorable holiday experience.

Went there for a weekend on motorcycle. Great place, safe parking for motorcycle, Perfectly clean property, fully equipped. on arrival there was waiting for me bottle of milk, butter, fresh eggs from Frances hens! so you can imagine that my breakfasts were eggcellent! thank you very much Frances! I highly recommend this place.

This was my second stay at Jeanette’s lovely apartment on the shore front at Troon. Jeanette was a lovely accommodating host; excellent communication, she provided breakfast foods, tea, coffee and lots of sweet treats. The bathroom was fully stocked with all essentials also. The kitchen had all you would need to self cater should you wish to do so. I highly recommend this lovely apartment in a beautiful part of Scotland. Thank you Jeanette.

Marc's place was absolutely amazing. It was as described in a beautiful beautiful part of western Scotland a remarkably amazing position on the beach which was beautiful we even seen dolphins and porpoise out in the river which was incredible. Overall an amazing stay thank you Marc we will definitely see you again

We had a lovely stay in Dunoon, it is a very quiet a peaceful place and we really enjoyed our stay. Paddy is friendly and helpful and her dog is beautiful and very sweet. Both beds were very comfortable, the shower was warm and powerful and the homemade bread was a great touch- we thoroughly enjoyed! Thank you again :)

Had a great stay at the old loft, was a great location just 5 mins from Campbelltown and a short drive to the golf courses. Accommodation was very clean, beds were extremely comfy and had everything needed for our stay. Jackie was a great host, can't recommend enough.

It was a lovely little flat in the centre of the village. It is on the main street and very easy to find. A little traffic noise but nothing to worry about. Close to harbour and restaurants. Catherine was a very helpful host. She communicated clearly, so we had no difficulties with the accommodation. The flat was very clean, tastefully furnished and had everything we needed for our short stay We have no hesitation recommending this property. We’d definitely come back.

The apartment is located beautifully right next to lake long so we enjoyed coffee and coffee and diner looking at the beautiful scenery. The apartment is spacious and provides everything you need. We’ve never checked in into an Airbnb as beautifully equipped and carefully stocked as this apartment. There was free drinks and even food and a very special welcome for us. Communication was always quick and easy, proactive and helpful. Would recommend the apartment anytime - we had the best time!

Great place to stay for exploring the more rural parts of Scotland. Beautiful, unspoiled countryside. the rain we had just enhanced the beauty of the mountains and rivers. The flat had amazing views from the window. it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We would certainly recommend it to friends.
