Your Escape in Scottish Paradise

HarrietRating, 5 stars2 months ago
Clean, spacious, warm and quiet home on a quiet residential road. The property overlooks a loch joining the sea and is great for calm and quiet. Mac was very responsive and we had no problems. We loved the space and it was a well equipped kitchen which is not always a given. WiFi was great if you need it and the heating etc was all straightforward and effective. Lovely having two bathrooms too. Near various historic sites. And also pretty beaches (20-30 mins drive), and a lovely play park if you have kids near Eoropie Beach.

Castle Cottage

RyanRating, 5 stars11 months ago
Really glad we came to stay. The cottage was lovely, clean, well furnished and had everything that we wanted. Bedrooms were a good spacious and the view from the front door was fantastic. Were I to revisit Harris I'd definitely consider coming back to stay again. There was a really helpful booklet provided by the host which gave us loads of information. Only small issue we had was that one of bedroom doors didn't have a good bite and needed to be pinned in place by something heavy as otherwise the wind would push the door open, even if we barely had any windows open at all strangely enough. But other than one small issue it really was perfect.

Aline Lodge in Aline Estate

KateRating, 5 stars23 months ago
We had an incredible stay at Aline Lodge. The lodge is really beautiful - top marks for all the fires having firewood, firefighters, and matches all ready to go. The electric Aga means the kitchen is always warm, and the view is world class. We went fishing twice (caught 11 trout!), clay pigeon shooting, used the sauna, and played table tennis and billiards. The kids went out on the boat around the loch and saw sea eagles, golden eagles, seals and a porpoise. Robert the gamekeeper was great - really responsive and happy to help. Could not recommend this highly enough - we will be back!

Brae Fasach HL, Stein, Waternish, Isle of Skye

TyroneRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This was our first time on the Isle of Skye and we were fortunate enough to spend 10 days at Sarah's place. It was a great launching point to many of the attractions and adventures around Skye that we were interested in seeing but the accommodations were also great to facilitate quieter days where we wanted to stay around Sarah's place, do some laundry, read a book and take in the stunning views of Loch Bay and the area around Brae Fasach. The house was as presented in the listing with all amenities present and in good working order. Sarah was an amazing host and very responsive to all inquiries. Her communications were tremendous and she was extremely helpful with local recommendations. We loved our time at Brae Fasach and will remember it and the Isle of Skye with great fondness.

Sea Room, Scalpay

ThomasRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The house is in a stunning location, we saw seals and otters from the conservatory and spent many nights looking at the wildlife. The house had everything we needed and was only 15 minutes drive from Tarbert to stock up on supplies. Everything was clean and tidy on arrival and we didn't find it lacking in anything and was easy to find on arrival. We had a wonderful stay and would definatly come back again.

48 Balallan

TheresaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Calum’s croft is charming and quaint and we found it to be the perfect mix between modern and original. The views were incredible from every window and it was incredibly peaceful. Every detail has been considered and provided for. Calum was an exceptional host and was very proactive with his communication. We encountered some ferry issues and he was very accommodating and reassuring. The record player was a fun touch to have while we enjoyed a fire. We would have loved to know more about Calum’s grandfather and the working croft but we did really enjoy the old photos in the library. If the stars align, we would absolutely love to come back!

THE BEACH HOUSE

AllisonRating, 5 stars1 month ago
What an exceptionally beautiful location, the view is just stunning. Spent hours just watching the bay with the changing tide, birds and wildlife. The weather was exceptional so we were able to enjoy the deck and make use of the outdoor table. Malcolm was an exceptional host and spent time with us, sharing a little of the local history which was very interesting. The cottage is very comfortable and well equipped and the local community shop is really handy and well stocked, also has an atm, petrol station, post office and small gift shop. Thanks Malcolm for sharing your home and we would love to return again in the future.

You will not be disappointed. The photos don’t quite do it justice. Such peaceful surroundings and the house is perfect! Lovely little touches, great shower & amenities. Charming seaside cottage (n. Tarbert) >Old Croft<

DaisyRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We had a fantastic week at Rod and Katrin's old croft. We felt at home right away, everything was there that you could possibly need, it's the perfect base for a week of exploring. We cooked every evening and sat out on the cliff nook with the amazing view. Kitchen fully equipped which made it really easy. Nice clean bedding and towels, lots of space, and cosy evenings reading by the fire. Thank you both - we want to come back next year with more of our family. Very best

Clarsach self-catering house - Laid back luxury

MichaelRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Clarsach is first class! It is equipped and furnished to an exceptionally high standard and Claire and Thomas have thought of everything that you need for a very comfortable holiday. The views from the modern day croft are spectacular and constantly changing. Big Sand more than lives up to its name and there is plenty to explore and enjoy in the local area.
