Lovely little house, Ideal local in the village and lots of lovely places locally to visit. The house is well equipped with all the essentials you need,beds lovely and comfortable,large garden area which suited us with the dogs Would go back tomorrow,the view every morning when you get up will not be forgotten

Loved our stay in Balallan. The house is perfectly located for exploring both Lewis and Harris. The swing seat overlooking the loch was a highlight of our stay. Many thanks also for the lovely welcome gifts too. Much appreciated.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay, incredibly clean and well looked after and refurbished to a really high standard. Can fault it at all! Great host, helpful and responsive and friendly too. Location is remote, up a farm track and about 20 mins from Stornaway but perfectly quiet and peaceful. Bus stop nearby was a pleasant surprise for a trip to Stornaway without the car. Shower great, bed comfy, living room massive and full kitchen. Even better than the photos. Had a great time and would love to come back!

Amazing place even better in real life. Sophie & Calum have created a slice of hevan. Both hosts went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could possibly be, fresh bred and jams for breakfast fire wood supplied. service with a smile, a lovely couple and a magical place to stay. highly recommend.

This was our favorite place of our entire trip. My nephew guess that we had paid three times as much as we had. We love feeling so at home. We appreciated the personal help with the stove (showing up at the house within 10 mins)—sorry for our confusion. Thank you for leaving us food and directions to get us started! Great restaurants within walking distance. We highly recommend making reservations—for the castles (Doune, Dunvegan), the seal tour, The View restaurant (and ask bartender for off-menu drinks), the Portree Hotel restaurant—days in advance. Thanks to the hosts for having Scotland Monopoly available! We had a great game and that helped us learn more about some of what we saw in the coming days. So appreciate your opening your home to us! Highly recommend!

Such an excellent place to stay in Portree. Walking distance from downtown with an exceptional view of the bay and surrounding area. The house was great for our family trip and we made delicious meals and enjoyed our time there. Very comfortable, clean with great kitchen amenities. Easy check in and the host was lovely!

We had a great stay at the house with all the equipment and facilities anyone could need. The location was brilliant for us, and Richard's helpful tips and advice about local eateries, shops etc were very welcome. He had provided a delicious and very generous treat in the refrigerator on arrival, which not only did we really appreciate, but it meant we sought out the local products to take back as gifts! This is an amazing house and location. The views are truly magnificent and with visiting sheep and lambs. Very peaceful sitting outside on the decking with a glass of wine or in the house. Dolina has thought of everything and we had a lovely stay. Some great places to visit nearby; Reef beach, Uig sands and would highly recommend dinner at Sands restaurant. Venture out further afield, lots to discover…we went from the North to the south of both Isles….amazing beaches to discover; Luskentyre, Seilebost. A walk to the ‘stacks’ recommended and great photos. The Callanish stones a good visit. Visiting weaving sheds and the Eagle observatory recommended and we bought some tweed to remind us of our lovely visit and special memories.

Glenview was the perfect place for a relaxing week in Lewis. Everywhere was very clean and comfortable and had all the amenities that we needed. The garden was perfect for our small dog to run free as it is completely enclosed. The views were amazing. There were only two of us, but it would be completely fine for two couples or a family. We would definitely stay again when back on Lewis. The location is very good for exploring the whole island and beyond.

Stunning place. So comfortable and amazing views. Spacious and full of light it felt much bigger than it was helped by such very clever design. Sauna was a lovely added extra option too. Friendly and helpful host too. Highly recommend.

Absolutely stunning location, helped by the most amazing weather. Beach at end of garden. Beautiful wild swimming spot, safe sloping beach. Bed linens and kitchen equipment lovely quality. Slept really well. Walking distance to Reef beach, mile long stretch of white sand. Perfect get away and the dog loved it too.

A charming home in a great location in Stornoway. Elizabete is a helpful and responsive host. My only regret is I didn’t stay longer! I recommend staying here without a doubt.

Magical! That’s the only truthful way of describing this place. It is extraordinarily beautiful, peaceful, and relaxing. You’ll have world wonders at your door step, but you might just want to stay and enjoy the place given how magical it feels. If that was not good enough, Kathryn and Angus are the most lovely and generous host you can ever get, making you feel right at home in their beautiful forest. I’ll be coming back as long as I can!!!

The Blackhouse is situated in a beautiful part of the country. The views are truly outstanding. Communication with Aonghus was fantastic and the house is exactly as described. A great place to get away from it all.

This is an absolutely stunning location and the house was very comfortable, and good value for money. There were lots of nice touches; we brought our two year old and there was a cot and highchair available as well as toys, movies and buckets/spades/beach toys. The kitchen was well stocked and we had everything we needed. A short walk to several beautiful beaches. Carol Ann was very kind, and responded quickly to messages. Would highly recommend this lovely stay.

We enjoyed a delightful long weekend at Croft 41. The house was perfect for our needs (two families with kids), the location absolutely stunning, and the wood-fired hot tub was also real highlight! Rachel is a very friendly and communicative host. Would definitely return in the future if we were looking to stay in this beautiful corner of Skye.

Eagles Nest is a stunning property in a peaceful and beautiful location. David was a superb host who was there to meet us and give us great inside guidance on Skye. The apartment was spotless and had considerations for every situation we could think of including a lovely hamper which meant we didnt need to consider rushing around for food after a long drive. A cosy home which is ideal for 2 people and is a perfect location where you can easily drive to all the tourist spots in under an hour but not be overwhelmed by Tourists day and night.

The house is very modern, clean and well appointed. The beds were very comfortable and the living room was lovely to relax in. The kitchen is a good size and very well equipped with the added bonus of a utility room. The house is in a beautiful part of Harris and it was easy to get to other parts of Harris and to Lewis by car. There’s a small but well stocked shop close by.

The house on the Isle of Skye was more than big enough gorgeous four or even five people. The cozy living room was great for the evenings. The company, holidaycottages, was very professional and gave us all the information we needed. And in case of an emergency or other needs, the phonenumber of the owner was available as well. The view from the house was amazing as well and the wood stove and the jacuzzi were great bonuses. Would definitely book again!

Wow!! What a beautiful spot! Betty’s lookout was perfectly outfitted for our party of three and we enjoyed both the cabin, the hot tub, the wood burning stove and the views!!! We were so lucky to get the pleasure of the incredible food, service and ambience of Monkstadt 1745 for dinner while there. Making our bucket list trip to Scotland and Isle of Skye so very special. Thank you for an incredible experience.

We had a great stay at Otter Cabin. The check in was super easy, and Ian was friendly and helpful. Communication throughout the stay was great and we were recommended places to go and things to do. The cabin itself is small, but perfect for a private getaway. It has everything you need and the kitchen is well equipped. We managed to see lots of seals! But unfortunately, no otters. But we did also do some bird watching too. The island is beautiful, and so peaceful. We couldn’t believe how quiet it was! We thoroughly enjoyed using the hot tub n the evenings, which was really easy to use. We stayed with our two dogs, who also loved the island, and loved exploring round the cabin and on the rocks. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend. We just wish we’d stayed longer!

Wow what a stayer had at Gemma’s beautiful cottage in a stunning location. From the booking to the stay Gemma was fantastically communicative and proactive. When it came to doing stuff the “bible” that Gemma ha put together is amazing and made our stay that much better as she had itineraries to make the most of our stay! Thanks Gemma!
