Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Islesboro

We stayed at this lovely lakefront home for the Memorial Day weekend, and it was lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and the home was well appointed and very comfortable. We would love to come back here again

We loved our stay! Everything was as described and we had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook several meals. The view is absolutely beautiful from all parts of the house and we loved the outdoor amenities. Lucy was very responsive and gave us some great recommendations! Would love to come back!

We have been staying at Sea Breeze for the last 4 years while my daughter was a student at Maine Maritime Academy. It is like our home away from home. Very well stocked, always clean, and Jane always communicates any special events taking place in town. So many special touches that you immediately feel at home upon check in.

By far the best home away from home that any of us have ever stayed at. Better than the photos. Cleanest Airbnb I’ve ever stayed at. Can’t say enough. I am so glad we booked Mark’s place for our Christmas vacation, it was definitely one to be remembered.

We had a truly unforgettable stay in Penobscot, Maine, and Suzanne’s Airbnb was a big reason why. The view from the property was absolutely stunning — serene, scenic, and the perfect escape from everyday life. Suzanne was an incredibly warm and gracious host who even invited us for breakfast and made us fresh coffee, making us feel instantly at home. Melissa, the property manager, was equally wonderful — welcoming, attentive, and always quick to respond to any questions we had. Both Suzanne and Melissa went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and memorable. Their kindness made it feel like we were visiting family rather than staying in a rental. I’ll definitely be returning to Suzanne’s place for my next visit to Maine. Highly recommend this beautiful spot to anyone looking for a peaceful and heartwarming getaway!

Amy place was beautiful. It was a home away from home. We had a great time there. The instructions were helpful. House was very nice and well equipped. We did not have any issues checking in. All the things mentioned in the listing were present and house was very clean. Surroundings were also nice. Did not face any issues in the house. Checkout instructions were very detailed. Overall great and worth the money. Would love to visit again!

Very nice little apartment in a quiet and woodsy neighborhood in Southwest Harbor, a very short drive from plenty of restaurants and so forth, and also convenient for exploring the rest of MDI. The apartment was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable, and Caroline was responsive and very friendly, as were the rest of her family. Would definitely stay there again.

We felt right at home at the Open Hearth Inn. Arthur and his team were very friendly and helpful. The inn is stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay, including snacks and treats for both humans and pups. We enjoyed the fire pit and hot tub when we weren’t hiking in Acadia. Definitely a great experience!

Pam’s place was so spacious but cozy, warm, clean and so welcoming. Pam was also friendly and quick to respond. We were lucky her place was available when we booked ☺️

We really enjoyed our stay at April’s private river retreat house. The apartment was very clean with lots of amenities. The travel toiletries were a nice surprise. We were about a 30 minute drive from Bar Harbor but it took close to an hour to get to some trailheads in Acadia NP. The weather got hot during our stay and April had her husband come to put the window AC in for us which was appreciated. Our only complaint was slow response time from the host during our stay and difficulty finding the driveway upon initial arrival. Google maps said the house was 3 doors closer on the road than it actually was. We would love to come back in the future!

Such a cute place to stay near Bar Harbor and Acadia! The dogs were adorable! Perfect place to stay after a long day of exploring.

This Airbnb was exactly as listed. Everything is updated, very clean, and comfortable. Jordana was very responsive and accommodating. I would stay here again.

So peaceful but off season. So not sure how it would be with lots of traffic and people. But the private deck and entrance was wonderful. The water view couldn’t have been more up close and personal with the beautiful harbor. The place was clean and cozy. Perfect lighting. Didn’t watch tv once. A convenient common room for extra supplies or a cup of coffee. Staff was very friendly when we were checking out. No front desk attendant and none needed. They answer messages quickly!

A beautiful rustic cabin in an amazing spot. Lori is a great host and is always near in her farmhouse to communicate and get you what you need. Appleton is not far from Camden / Rockland but has that rustic getaway feel. The option of adding a wonderful soak in the hot tub, wood fired sauna, massage and breakfast are available as well. I’ll be back next year! Thank you for everything, Lori!

We have stayed at Jackies place twice now and enjoyed it just as much this time as the last. Even though it rained for two days the house is plenty big enough to spread out. We had to change our reservation days twice because of circumstances and Jackie was very accomidating..

This was my second time staying at Terrill’s place and it was just as lovely as I remembered! It’s such a peaceful place, surrounded by natural beauty, to relax and unwind. I’ll definitely be back again!

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! I cannot say enough great things about our stay here. The outdoor shower is absolutely incredible; so well crafted! If you’re looking at the listing and hesitant to book due to the toilet situation - don’t be! It was cleaner than quite a few other places we’ve stated that had “real” bathrooms. The cabin itself had everything we needed and more (comfortable bed, extra blankets, anything you’d need to cook simple meals, etc.). Everything was very clean and the rules & checkout instructions were very clear, which was great because that is definitely not always the case when you book a place. Bethany is a gracious and responsive host and the area is incredible. If you’re looking for a place in this area, I highly recommend staying here if it’s available for your dates!

Masha's oasis cabin was just what we needed this weekend. It was so peaceful and private. No lights- just stars, no wifi- just connecting with each other. Masha was such a thoughtful host as well and made sure to check in with us to make sure we didn't need anything else. The cabin is also about an hour and a half from Acadia which makes for the perfect day trip!

Our stay at Dave's lakefront cabin was exactly what we'd hoped for, and then some. This isn't just a rental; it feels like a genuinely preserved piece of Maine – authentic and full of character. Being right on the lake was the absolute highlight. The views are truly epic, offering stunning sunrises and peaceful evenings that we savored from the deck and the dock. It was the perfect backdrop for morning coffee and winding down after exploring. Dave is an exceptional host. He was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed without ever being intrusive. You can tell he cares deeply about this place and his guests. The cabin is filled with thoughtful touches that are one-of-a-kind, from the cozy throws to the unique decor that tells a story, making it feel less like a temporary stay and more like a cherished home.
