My wife and I stayed for stayed a night at Pine View Retreat Homestay. This homestay far exceeded our expectations. The room was clean, comfortable , quiet atmosphere and with lovely garden view. Ambica and pawan ji were exceptional hosts, providing us with valuable local tips and delicious homemade dinner and breakfast(please do try highly recommended). The location was perfect for exploring the town. Overall, we highly recommend this homestay to anyone seeking a warm and welcoming and feel like home homestay. Thank you so much will definitely visit again for longer period.🙏

Booked the place for a day during Mid October. Temperature drops to -6 at night, but room has heater and heated blankets. Basic amenities were provided and bathroom was clean. Food can be order in the room/dome or you can go to the restaurant/kitchen and have it there. Place is 100% as described by the host. People who smoke will have to do it outside the dome( temperature does go sub zero at evening/night) as smoking is not allowed inside the dome(cigarette/hookah). Overall the experience was good.

My wife and I stayed for a night prior to our Har Ki Dun trek. It's a perfect homestay with a traditional family in the heart of Soud village. The room is adjacent to the rooms of other family members and is minimalistic. The view from the common balcony is soothing. The food which was garden fresh and simple was served with lots of love. A big thanks to Devender for all the help, information and assistance. He organized small treks (on payment) and we were escorted by chirpy little teenagers from their family who made it worthwhile. Clarify on the costs of food/trek beforehand in order to avoid surprises. The toilets are not attached with the rooms and theres a fly menace if you eat in the common balcony. All in all an simple yet exotic experience with a beautiful traditional joint family.

Sankri (or Mori-Sankri) is a small town on a steep mountain side near (~500 ft. from the entrance of) the Govind Pashu Vihar National Park. Rohan provided contact information for us to find a man in Sankri, Shubham, who spoke excellent english. Shubham was very helpful and a great person to be in contact with as he let us keep our bags at his shop, let us use the wifi at his shop, and coordinated communication with our hosts the entire time. The house is down the hill about a 7 min walk from town. The room was comfortable with a beautiful view. For 150 rupees per meal, we were offered tea, dinner, and breakfast which was delicious and a superb experience of what life in the Himalayan foothills is like. Really fantastic stay! Thank you to our hosts and to Shubham!

Such a great place. The host was too kind and friendly. The location is just opposite the bus stand. There are many food spots nearby. The host gave us a kalpa drive which was worth. The place is same as pictures with all amenities. Totally loved it.

Avtar homestay is the best place. located on the main road. beautiful room views. Host is very cooperative and helpful. Running hot water from geyser even in wash basin. Warm blanket are also available. food is very good. home made food. very tasty and sufficient quantity. I had my driver and he made good arrangements for sleeping for him at night. food charges are reasonable and food quantity is sufficient. they have a dining area where you can eat your food. overall experience very good and will surely recommend everyone to book here.

The place is very well maintained with a magnificient view of the Himalayas from the room itself and from the balcony as well. The host, Mr Shyam Singh is one of the best we’ve ever had and the entire process being so smooth is an end product of that only. If you’re coming to this quiet hamlet, around 700m away from the Bhimakali temple, this property is highly recommended. Also, try the chicken curry for dinner!
