Pet-friendly holiday rentals in James Bay, West Bay

We really enjoyed the tranquility. Having stayed for 3 nights, my wife and I would love to come back for a week or longer without our son. This place is so quiet and peaceful. It's the perfect for sitting in the yard, reading a few books and enjoying your thoughts.

Priceless views and amazing architecture are showpieces of this magnificent home that combines coziness, elegance, comfort and rustic charm. We’ve stayed at many airbnbs, but this one is a new favorite. It’s an ideal getaway for the whole family; plus it’s close to interesting hikes and restaurants. The kitchen is well stocked for eating at home. We didn’t enjoy the taste of the well water, but bought drinking water at Tru Value. Carley was very responsive and helpful throughout. We would love to come back in the summer.

Seascape is Awesome! The accommodations were clean and spacious with comfortable beds and living areas. The views were amazing and the outdoor areas packed with things to do and see. The hosts responded quickly and was very friendly and helpful. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this excellent space.

We really enjoyed our stay at Zoe’s place in Mill Bay. Everything was clean and comfortable and we immediately felt at home. We really appreciated the fabulous deck where we sat at the end of each day sipping wine and recounting the day’s adventures. The directions were bang on and the home was easy to find. The driveway was large enough for our two vehicles which was nice. I’d highly recommend staying here if you are in the Mill Bay area.

Beautiful location very close to local beaches and a 10min drive to Sooke for a wide choice of restaurants and shops. Very comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, very thoughtful welcome pack from Tess and large sofa with enough space for 4 adults. Beautiful views across the sea to Washington State on a clear day. The wildlife was an unexpected joy with deer and rabbits regularly on the grass in the mornings. Also worth a mention if you are a light sleeper, with the windows open, the birds are quite chatty from first light. Such a peaceful place to unwind. We will certainly be back and highly recommend to others.

The house at Friday Harbor is perfect in so many ways! The kitchen is well equipped, the bathrooms are well placed, the yard is generous and holds many great games. Our family had a terrific time there! The house is close to town and also close to a number of great attractions. It was easy to explore and then head back to the house for rest. It’s hard to imagine a better arrangement!

This was one of the most beautiful and comfortable places we’ve stayed via Airbnb. The home is beautifully provisioned and the yard is fantastic. We loved sitting out back listening to the bubbling water and birds singing. The hosts were friendly and thoughtful. We would definitely choose again and highly recommend.

Our family of 8 felt right at home. Everyone having a king bed was very helpful. Kitchen was very well stocked for cooking. Sean answered back any inquiries quite quickly. We highly recommend Sean’s place.

We really loved the quietness and peacefulness of the place. The layout of the house was awesome. The entertainment was top notch. We even used the gym . I would definitely recommend this place if you are with a group of friends or family gathering!

What a great spot! Nestled in the woods in a peaceful and quiet setting this place is truly one-of-a-kind. The house is very unique with lots of character that sets it apart from the usual stays. It was clean and had all we needed. Our host Gramma Rikki was exceptionally warm and welcoming. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate, and we could not take advantage of all the outdoor spaces and amenities. We played pool, sat by the cozy fire and did some island exploring by car. All in all it was a very enjoyable and relaxing getaway despite the crummy weather. We hope to return one day and experience everything this wonderful place has to offer.

Arbutus House is set in a pristine and beautiful location on Pender Island, overlooking the water with expansive and well maintained private gardens. The house is full of character and is clean and filled with natural light. Our host, Budd, was extremely responsive and helpful and took care of all of our needs. We would definitely return to this location and recommend it to our friends.

Derek’s place was very clean and cozy. It was very welcoming and we felt like home when we stayed at his place. My family were very comfortable while staying there and Derek was also easy to communicate wiith. Overall we had a wonderful time.

The street was very quiet. I think there was only one or two other cabins that were being used that week, which means we had a very peaceful stay. We locked out it was also very sunny the entire week. The place was amazing with big windows, it was clean, bright and beautiful. Thank you very much Cheryl. We had a wonderful stay. A thoughtfully equipped one bedroom with private entrance and fenced yard. Quiet and safe neighborhood with access to the Galloping Goose walking path. Close to highways if you are exploring the island, though it's a fair drive to downtown Victoria. Langford has all the big retailers and good services.

I highly recommend this suite and these hosts. The rental is in the downstairs of a new house in a recent development. The appliances, lights, heat system, and amenities are new and thoughtfully arranged. The photos online suggested to me that it might be cramped, but I was wrong: It is spacious and bright inside. We liked our hosts very much. They were friendly and responded to our questions within 10 minutes. There is a convenient, small shopping center across the street from the development (a few blocks from the rental) and the immediate neighborhood feels very safe for walking.

Derek and Valentina's Airbnb was the ideal space for our week-long stay on Vancouver Island. There's plenty of space and storage for two people, a full kitchen, and a big, comfy sofa. We slept well on the comfortable bed and pillows. Super clean space with nice extras like toiletries, wine bottle opener and glasses, and good coffee. Valentina has created a beautiful, serene outdoor space, where bunnies and deer visit. The neighborhood is quiet - ideal for walks. It takes no time to get to beautiful hikes through wooded areas to the beach. Valentina and Derek made it really easy for us to travel with our dog. There was plenty of room for his bed, and a towel just for the pup. They allowed him to play in the yard. Victoria is an easy drive from the Airbnb, as long as you avoid rush hour. Easy access to groceries, liquor store, brewery, and a few restaurants - and Door Dash delivers there. Communication was consistent and timely. No issues at all. We can't wait to visit again!

We stayed at Joshua’s place for two nights. Super easy check-in, responsive hosts and lots of stuff available for kids, which was great since we had 2 under 2 with us! Beds were comfy and rooms spacious. Location was quiet and about 20 minute drive to downtown Victoria!

This is my second time staying here. I feel at home and relaxed! Cory was supportive about the accidents my pup had the first time we stayed! So love that it’s pet friendly! Beautiful home, clean, and cozy! Love the indoor fire heater! The bed is super comfy with comfy pillows! Had the best sleep I’ve had in weeks!
