Cabin holiday rentals in Julian

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

An unforgettable stay — highly recommend! We had such a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and felt cozy yet spacious. Every detail—from the comfortable bedding and well-stocked kitchen to the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, coffee, and made us feel completely at home. The location was perfect—peaceful and private, breathtaking mountain view from the pool. We especially how quiet the neighborhood was. Our host Posh was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and stress-free. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it whole.

Loves our stay at Pinky's! The trails on the grounds were beautiful and it was such a relaxing stay! The house was perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs, the dogs loved being able to run around in the gated yard! The on site host had wonderful recommendations on things to do in the area and was very nice and responsive! We look forward to being able to visit again!

We had a lovely weekend stay! Rowena is a fantastic host. She was warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. She made our arrival smooth and our experience even more special by answering all our questions promptly, especially when we weren’t able to reach RedAwning directly. Her thoughtful touches, like leaving wine for us, really made a difference! The cabin itself is charming and full of personality. We enjoyed nights around the fire pit under the stars and peaceful mornings birdwatching from the porch. The neighborhood cat even hung out with us! Inside, we loved the quirky features, from the stone basement to the attic bedroom, and we had fun with the board games and projector setup. One thing to keep in mind is the stairs are uneven inside and outside the cabin, which could be tricky for guests who prefer more stable footing. Thanks again for a comfortable, memorable stay!

It was a cute, quaint little getaway spot. Loved feeding the goats, chickens and alpacas. Our little maltipoo loved to just walk around the place and run up and down the little pathway. Will definitely come back.

We had a wonderful one night stay at John's! Instructions were crystal clear on everything from how to enter, contact info, our part of the house, the jacuzzi, the check out and more. The neighborhood is beautiful, walkable, and so quiet. There are homes next door but the lot is big enough that it still felt private. The house itself and the decor feels like a bit of a time capsule -- which to us means cozy, comfy and kitschy fun-- but if you prefer monochrome colors and barren horizontal surfaces you may not love it like we did. There were only two of us so we used the back bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was super clean and John even gave us extra towels! No complaints, just a slight issue with the jacuzzi but it was still usable and John was immediately responsive when we communicated. One tip -- BYO oil and whatever else you need to cook with. Hot drinks are provided. We enjoyed our stay so much and hope to return. Thank you John and family!!!

Patricia's cabin is beyond comfy and cozy! It is a great location close to town, easy to get to but also super private and beautiful surroundings. The cabin was so cute and you can tell Patricia put a lot of thought and detail into all the furniture, decor and amenities. Patricia was communicative and responsive, super helpful and friendly. We had an amazing time, it was so comfortable with everything we needed. We wholeheartedly recommend this cabin and would definitely come back again!

Had a beautiful (exactly as described and pictured) stay at the Cowboy Cabin! Christina was such a communicative, friendly, and gracious host. The house itself was stocked with everything one could need and the house itself was rustic, cowboy chic in every way without it being too much or overbearing. It's so cozy and the home itself and the surroundings were picturesque. It feels like the retreat/hideaway of your wildest dreams, yet within a short drive to neighboring towns. I will definitely be back and am so happy that we were able to experience such a lovely weekend at this unique and rare gem.

A lovely experience. Well-located near Julian, Cuyamaca, Anza-Borrego. Beautiful architecture up on a hill above the 79. Easily the best-stocked Airbnb we have ever rented: pots, pans, dishware, spices, soaps, firewood, lots of towels, etc. Detailed directions. Everything worked! Would return for sure. One thing to know: the upstairs bedroom with the many beds is an open loft, so you hear everything from downstairs, and noise passes easily between the two downstairs bedrooms. Lovely spaces, but limited privacy.

We had such a lovely stay at Teresa’s cabin. Teresa provided detailed information about the cabin, dining and activity suggestions, and provided so many thoughtful extras like treats for the dogs, toiletries we may have forgotten, tea/coffee bar, etc. The cabin was perfect for two people (with dogs!) It was small, quaint, clean, and felt like home. It was exactly what we wanted in a mountain staycation. We saw deer, wild turkeys, and so many different birds, all from the front deck. I would definitely recommend staying here and would return again!

My friends and I spent the weekend in Julian here, and it was perfect! We loved the game room and the home had a lot of character.

People were not kidding in their reviews. This place is so peaceful and so lovely, so organized, and just like eeeeeveryone else said- that bed. It is heaven. Will def be staying here again.

This is a place you can’t skip out on. We were speechless from the very beginning of the view and how great the trip was going to be. There are plenty of things to do if you bring pets. We recommend the fire road near Doane pond which is a quick 5-10 min drive from the cabin. Some areas are restricted from bringing pets as to not disturb wildlife. The place overall was perfect and we felt right at home. It was so quiet and peaceful I highly recommend this place. I will definitely come back.

We stayed in Ephraim’s adorable A-frame cabin for one night while headed to San Diego to visit a friend. The drive up to the cabin is beautiful on a long, winding road. When we left the next day, we were above the cloud line. The cabin itself is wonderful. We couldn’t help but walk around and appreciate all of the little design choices inside! The bedrooms are cozy and nest-like. The kitchen is spacious and open. The lot is pretty private. There are some other cabins close by, but you don’t notice them once you’re inside.

We enjoyed four nights @ Stoneapple Cottage & so enjoyed this unique & spacious house; we especially enjoyed the old fashioned kitchen with all the pots/pans/cutlery & crystal stemware. The beds were extremely comfortable & the air conditioning did help upstairs as it can get warm. We sat on the lovely patio & had several nice Happy Hours. The Alpacas on the neighboring lot were fun to watch. The location is ideal for easy access to Julian & for birding @ Lake Cuyamaca. Mary left complete instructions on everything. She displayed her artwork & photography in the house & also had her beautiful cards for sale. It was a most wonderful four day trip; the solitude at night was amazing & we certainly benefitted from the surroundings. Thanks again Mary for your prompt responses to my texts! Gwen, Dave & Beth

A-frame was not a disappointment. It was such a relaxing stay for us. We took a trip to Idyllwild, which was less than a hr and came back to enjoy the views that the A-Frame had to offer. When we pack for a trip we typically pack extra blankets and maybe enough cookware (just in case) but this place was LOADED with everything! It was such a big help to not unpack what we packed just in case for. There was a couple things we had issues with but it wasn’t something we couldn’t manage without. I really enjoys some of the cool features the host had to offer like music bar. It felt so cool to show the kiddos the tape cassettes, iPod and record player. Everything it had to offer was great! Would recommend for anyone and everyone.

This cozy cabin is absolutely a great value! The surroundings are beautiful, and the cabin itself is clean and well-kept. Spending the holidays here, gathered around the fire pit and chatting with friends, has truly become one of my most cherished memories. That said, the road leading to the farm can be a bit rough. A high-clearance SUV is recommended—we drove a sedan and ended up scraping the underside of the car a few times. Despite that, the overall experience was wonderful. We hiked a nearby trail all the way to the top of a mountain, where we could see both San Diego and Mexico. Although the fog was heavy and we couldn’t see the ocean, the view was still impressive. All in all, I highly recommend this cabin. It’s definitely one of the best places to escape for a relaxing holiday!

This place is amazing. I slept so well since the location is quiet and secluded. Colleen is quick to respond and super kind. The design of the cabin itself is pretty as well. I would 100% stay here again.

Their cabin made for a beautiful night away with our youngest daughter for our wedding anniversary. The setting is beautiful and buried in the trees it feels very private. I sat on the hillside bench and watched the sunrise with my baby and listened to myriads of birds greet the day, it was very nice. There is also a nice private patio with a view of the mountain where we enjoyed some reading and a nice little shaded picnic area around the back. Everything was nice and neat and comfortable. It looks like it would be a cozy getaway in winter too with the large woodstove, board games and loungy futon. Wished we could have stayed longer than just one day! We will be back if we get a chance!
