Cabin holiday rentals in San Diego County

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

An unforgettable stay — highly recommend! We had such a wonderful experience staying at this Airbnb! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The home was sparkling clean, beautifully decorated, and felt cozy yet spacious. Every detail—from the comfortable bedding and well-stocked kitchen to the thoughtful touches like fresh towels, coffee, and made us feel completely at home. The location was perfect—peaceful and private, breathtaking mountain view from the pool. We especially how quiet the neighborhood was. Our host Posh was incredibly responsive, kind, and helpful, making check-in and communication smooth and stress-free. It’s clear they truly care about their guests’ comfort and experience. We would absolutely stay here again and recommend it whole.

Loves our stay at Pinky's! The trails on the grounds were beautiful and it was such a relaxing stay! The house was perfect for my husband and I and our two dogs, the dogs loved being able to run around in the gated yard! The on site host had wonderful recommendations on things to do in the area and was very nice and responsive! We look forward to being able to visit again!

We had a lovely weekend stay! Rowena is a fantastic host. She was warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful. She made our arrival smooth and our experience even more special by answering all our questions promptly, especially when we weren’t able to reach RedAwning directly. Her thoughtful touches, like leaving wine for us, really made a difference! The cabin itself is charming and full of personality. We enjoyed nights around the fire pit under the stars and peaceful mornings birdwatching from the porch. The neighborhood cat even hung out with us! Inside, we loved the quirky features, from the stone basement to the attic bedroom, and we had fun with the board games and projector setup. One thing to keep in mind is the stairs are uneven inside and outside the cabin, which could be tricky for guests who prefer more stable footing. Thanks again for a comfortable, memorable stay!

We stayed at The Mountain House over a weekend, and it was amazing. Beautiful views from the house and the whole farm is so serene and peaceful. My daughter loved the animals (especially the goats) and if she had it her way, she would stay there full time. The chickens gave us lots of fresh eggs everyday. Also, I highly recommend taking one of the cooking classes that is offered as it really adds to the experience. We took the cheese making one and came home not just with knowledge of how to make delicious cheese, but also lots of cheese for us to enjoy.

We absolutely loves the enchanted look out! We will definitely be re booking for our San Diego trip next year ❤️

John’s place was fantastic for a quick staycation. Peaceful setting, clean and cozy, and the hot tub was a dream at night. Waking up to deer while sipping coffee on the deck was very memorable. Can’t wait to come back!

A lovely experience. Well-located near Julian, Cuyamaca, Anza-Borrego. Beautiful architecture up on a hill above the 79. Easily the best-stocked Airbnb we have ever rented: pots, pans, dishware, spices, soaps, firewood, lots of towels, etc. Detailed directions. Everything worked! Would return for sure. One thing to know: the upstairs bedroom with the many beds is an open loft, so you hear everything from downstairs, and noise passes easily between the two downstairs bedrooms. Lovely spaces, but limited privacy.

Teresa and Tom are excellent host. Teresa was available for and question. She thinks about everything that could be needed,I forgot a shaving razor and she had everything at hand for her guests! We enjoyed our time in T’s cabin a lot,and we highly recommend it. We hope to be back soon!

My friends and I spent the weekend in Julian here, and it was perfect! We loved the game room and the home had a lot of character.

Friends were in Potrero and I wasn't in the mood to rough it. So I looked on AirBNB and this was the best fit for my needs. 6 minutes from my friends. Great amenities and a restful night's sleep. Looking forward to returning to this hidden gem.

We had a lovely and cozy weekend at the Gold Mine Cabin! Rob and Laura were very responsive and provided clear instructions to make everything easy and smooth as possible. I really enjoyed sitting out on the cute porch - so peaceful!

Dog friendly. I needed a place to decompress away from the city and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mountains. Sandrine provided everything you could need for the stay and I was really satisfied with the visit. Kitchen was updated and had every utensil I needed to cook and eat. Sandrine volunteered as a fire-watch and is proof to me that she cares about her community. Sandrine is responsive and my dog and I was very comfortable during my stay. I will be looking for her as a host for my next visit with the family.

My wife and I wanted to take our kids to see the snow, Kelly’s place was close to several snow areas! Kids loved the back yard, the instructions were very clear on how to use the fire pits as well as indoor fireplace, there were recommendations on things to do as well. The house was very clean and comfortable no detail was over looked. Will absolutely book Kelly’s place again!

Rictor was very responsive. Hot water, stove, fridge, grill and WiFi/tv all worked great! Place was clean, comfortable bed and clean linens. We expected to be near natural water. But it was so dry that everything we had based our stay on was absent. Also be prepared to be 30 minutes from everything. It was quiet and peaceful. The cabin was well kept and we had a good stay. Had there been more outdoor activities it would have been perfect.

Dee was a great host and we enjoyed our stay very much!! The place was clean and cozy. Peaceful getaway that’s close to San Diego. Would definitely stay with Dee again!

This was such a beautiful spot! The photos didn’t do the place justice. Natalie has done an amazing job with upgrading the cabin and ensuring her guests have a wonderful stay. The cabin was clean and very cozy. She had all the amenities listed (and more). The location was peaceful and exactly what me and my family needed! The swing was our favorite part! I saw my in laws jump on and the smiles on their faces made the trip. I recommend this for anyone looking for a nice “home” away from the city! Natalie was a great host! She was very responsive, kind and answered any questions. She’s amazing.

This is a spacious, newly remodeled, and nicely decorated interior home. We appreciated the attention to detail and the amenities provided. There were thoughtful snacks and water provided. The kitchen is stocked with basic amenities in case you forgot something. We enjoyed the pool table and games. There is satellite TV for downtime in the evening. The home is located in a very quiet neighborhood, and there is a small convenience store nearby if you need to pick up something, though it is a little pricey. There are great hikes in the area. If you are looking to unwind in a serene mountain setting this is a great location and host. Thank you Ester for a lovely stay.
