Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Kern River

Our stay at Angels Hill was great! The perfect place to unplug and relax as a family. We have young kids (1 and 3.5) and it was perfect for them! Lots of space to play outside, the shaded deck was perfect for the 1 year old, and lots of kid necessities included (high chair seat, pack and play, plastic plates, etc). We loved adventuring around to hike and play in creeks in the area. We plan to come back!

We had a great time at Barbara's! The place is spacious, clean, and well furnished. Highly recommend!

Arriving & staying at Joanie's place is like entering Garden of Eden. Just seeing the wide smile & "ohh-ahh" from my parents who are visiting from a city country, they couldn't believe their eyes seeing real oranges on the trees!! Thanks Joanie! for making this the most memorable experience for my parents !! Bestest of Hostess !

Staying at Kermit's was like staying at my old grandparents' home. It was cozy, welcoming, homey, and it had absolutely everything we needed to cook great meals, spend time together, and have a blast doing so. The kitchen was well stocked, the grill was prepared and ready to go, the lights on the patio at night were wonderful, and the backyard had plenty for us to do. I have spent more money on Airbnbs for less than our stay at Kermit's, and I am happy to say that I would gladly spend a trip at Kermit's again!

The bnb looked just like the photos, beautiful views all around. The host was very responsive and checked in throughout the stay to make sure everything was going well. My group had a great time!

The home was the best Airbnb I have stayed in so far! It was spacious, clean and nicely decorated. After hiking the Natl Parks we looked forward to using the hot tub and the gas fire pit table! Lorene was very helpful in recommending grocery stores and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again if I’m back in the area!!

Could not have been more pleased with this Airbnb from the spacious and bright bedrooms, high ceilings, modern bathrooms, cozy living room, huge and pristine front deck, and the exceptionally well-equipped and beautiful kitchen. The host has thought of everything you can hope for when spending good money on your vacation and was super friendly and responsive when we had a question. We were absolutely thrilled with our stay here and our only wish was that we could have stayed longer!

It’s hard to put into words just how incredible this place is, I could write paragraphs. We use vacation rental homes a lot and this by far surpasses them all. So nice not to have to buy tp, paper towels, gbg bags, laundry & dishwasher det. and more but it’s all supplied. Beds are super comfortable, high-quality sheets and towels, and plenty of them, lots of extra blankets. Box fan in every closet, sound machine by every bed. So, so, so many extra touches beyond what I mentioned that go above and beyond. The place inside and out is both beautiful and serene. Could have happily spent a month. Only one small country store in the little town nearby so if you plan to do cooking and stay an extended time, definitely hit up a Walmart or a large grocery store before you arrive. Especially if you’re looking to get away from it all and enjoy a peaceful and relaxing retreat, this is the perfect place whether you’re one couple, a family, or a group of friends. Owner should teach a class.

This property was an amazing space for my friends and I to enjoy the lake! I think it's the best spot in the entire area to relax and enjoy all that the lake has to offer. Deborah was extremely helpful and kind! We will definitely be coming back here soon.

This was the perfect place for a family getaway in nature over Memorial Day weekend. We were there adults and three kids and there was plenty of space. Kitchen was well stocked, and we appreciated that there was plenty of silverware, glasses etc. There were several beautiful nature sites close to the property however Sequoia National Park is over 2 hours away and can take several hours more on a holiday weekend. Just something to be mindful of. The host was extremely proactive and responsive and we would stay here again.

This was a wonderful place to stay while visiting some national parks nearby. The hosts were friendly and greeted us when we arrived. They were kind enough to leave some water and snacks in the home and the property was quiet and secluded. There was also a lot of information on local spots and attractions. Lots of wildlife to see around the property! Would definitely stay here again if I am back in the area.

Karen is a pro. Everything is spelled out nicely and easy to follow. We love the location on our favorite Kernville street and had the most wonderful few days boating and visiting in Kernville. The indoor and outdoor spaces are much appreciated.

Beautiful place with lots of amenities and things to do. We stayed at the Playhouse and it was charming. Loved the water supply. Be prepared for the bees while eating by the benches but we are in the middle of the forest so expected. John was friendly and funny. Worth a visit and would come back here camping!

Absolutely stunning. From the pictures and description, I thought there was no way it could be that good, but it actually blew away my expectations. Beautiful location, views, and scenery. I will be coming here every single year moving forward. It had everything I was looking for and more. If you want to escape the city and connect with nature, you will have a hard time finding a better place than this. Also, the hosts were extremely helpful and responsive throughout the whole trip. We loved our time at Colin’s house. It was perfect for our family of four with teenagers. The location is perfect for accessing the national park! We enjoyed the fire pit, porch, and kitchen, especially, for relaxing before and after a long day of exploring in the mountains. We will come back some day!

Well, this is my second review of Robyn’s lovely cabin. My wife and daughter and I stayed last summer and as we were making our summer plans this year, we knew we had to go back. Robyn is very thoughtful and helpful host. And her house could not be more comfortable and relaxing… From the screened in porch to the gurgling creek just a few steps away, the bats catching bugs at sunset, the eagles soaring by and even deer we saw almost every evening…we were truly at peace. And we will be back again!

Gabby was a fantastic host and was so kind with all of the amazing recommendations. We loved our cozy stay at Cabin Grim before going into our strenuous couple days of backpacking. Wanted to note, we did book with plans of visiting Sequoia National Park and did not realize how lengthy the drive would be (3 hours each way) which was a fault of our own lol. It was a very scenic drive and we loved the area!
