Holiday rentals in Knossos

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here! It was walkable to the downtown area and harbour, but also quiet at night and not too busy. It was an easy ride from the airport and the location is also very close to the highway so it’s easy to head to the beach or other towns! Also good local bakeries and gyros in the area! :)

My boyfriend and I spent five nights here for my 22nd birthday and it did not disappoint. The photos on here do not do the place justice and the local area is just the right amount of quiet busy also with an abundance of restaurants and bars. We didn’t get a hire car as we managed with the local buses as they are so much cheaper and we were able to get to beaches such as Saridari and Paralia Psaromoura, which we would recommend. We also would highly recommend a boat tour to Dia island if you are able too. Restaurant wise in Gournes we cannot recommend Nami Restaurant enough and it is a must! The beach opposite is a lovely shallow beach but we aware it can be quite windy hence why we explored other beaches - would advise if u go to these beaches you leave early (especially if u want a sun lounger)! We stayed as a family of six, four adults and two children (8 and 5). The set up was really comfortable and worked perfectly for us. The outdoor pool area is great and our two kids loved it - especially as there were lots of inflatables left to play with. We arrived at 3am. Xristos offered to meet us, but when we suggested with young children we'd prefer just to get in and get to bed, then meet up after it was no problem at all. We had instructions to call when we arrived, and the gate was opened for us. We were blown away by how well supplied the house was. Xristos was in touch in the week before to check if we needed anything in particular and couldn't have been more helpful in making sure we had everything we needed to start our holiday. Then we had a delivery of local fruit and wild artichokes as they were in season. Amazing. There was a dust storm before we arrived. Xristos promptly sorted this too. A great and relaxed place to stay, with an unbelievably good host. Thanks!

Mooi verblijf met de nodige voorzieningen. Giorgos is een mega vriendelijke host die altijd snel en duidelijk reageert! Geeft ook heel wat tips over Kreta als je er naar vraagt.

Hello We stayed at the property for 5 days, Andreas was nothing but always proactively helpful The place is very close to Knossos Palace, you can reach there 5 mins by walk About the place, you have everything you need and more. We loved chilling in the backyard which has two lemon trees, enough sun and shadow as per one’s preference. Our host Andreas was always there for any suggestions and provided with good restaurant selections as well. Overall we had a very nice stay and would completely recommend staying at this property. Der Aufenthalt im Haus von Maria und ihrem wundervollen Ehemann war einfach überwältigend. Der Ort Charaso ist ein wunderschönes Dörfchen in den Bergen und unglaublich für Erholung. Das Ehepaar begrüßte uns genauso herzlich wie die Einwohner Kretas einfach sind. Wir haben uns in das lokale Gebäck verliebt das uns bereitgestellt wurde und die Empfehlung für das Restaurant Gia mas war wirklich Gold wert. Nirgends auf der Insel haben wir so liebevolles Mezze für so wenig Geld bekommen. Auch die Nachbarn waren so unfassbar Gastfreundlich. Ganz besondere Grüße gehen an Eleftheria (ich hoffe das schreibt man so), wir vermissen dich sehr. Außerdem hoffen wir, dass jeder Besucher etwas Katzenfutter mitnimmt. Abschließend können wir nur sagen: nirgendwo hätten wir den echten kretischen Lebenstyle besser erleben können als in unserm gemütlichen Haus in dem tollen Dörfchen Charaso. Wir haben uns einfach verliebt.

We had an amazing stay at Anantia Villa. The property is beautiful and maintained to perfection. There is absolutely everything you could possibly need throughout the Villa, all the way down to herbs and spices in the kitchen and liquid tabs for the washing machine and dishwasher. It is clear that every aspect of a comfortable and luxurious stay has been thought about. The surroundings were beautiful and peaceful. There are shops and tavernas close by with everything you may need. What made this stay such an incredible experience however was the host. Manos is fantastic. Extremely responsive, kind and helpful. Manos met us at the property, after checking our flight times with us to ensure he was present when we arrived. He maintained helpful contact throughout and responded immediately to any questions. Absolutely outstanding host. Thank you Manos. We would advise renting a car to effectively explore this part of Crete. The property has its own car parking space too.

Really cool place with open and airy ambiance, from the views of the port both inside the house and from the huge roof deck, as well as the peaceful private patio. Cool vibe with a great kitchen. And the electric guitar was awesome. We stayed here just 2 nights, and we felt fortunate to have found it. It was the perfect interim stop between two larger segments of our trip. A relaxing place to regroup and do laundry, while enjoying some nice restaurants within walking distance.
