Holiday rentals with beach access in Kokkinos Pirgos

We loved it! A couple of suggestions: Would be helpful to tell guests that they will park behind the building and enter the apartment from the back, not the front of the building.. Would be nice to have a lounge chair for the balcony.

Amazing accommodation w/ beautiful views of the beach, parking, a full kitchen, comfortable bed. My only wish would be to have had more time to spend at this apartment

From Sunrise to Sunset the North facing second floor apartment and balcony offered incredible panoramic views of the Mediterranean, Rethymnon Marina and Fortezza … absolutely no issues or problems with check in, in/out access with secure gated and covered garage parking … comfortable bed, quite building, hot water shower/sinks, flawless high speed internet, excellent cable TV, soft linens, sheets and pillows 5⭐️!

My girlfriend and I had a wonderful, relaxing time in Kalamaki. The place was perfect for us. We enjoyed the sea view every day with sunsets and the tranquility. The short distance to the beach, restaurants or supermarket was also brilliant. Communication was perfect from start to finish. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday in a quiet but ingenious location, this is the place to be. We can definitely recommend the hosts.

Fantastic place in a perfect location, with the best view terrace in Matala! We loved it! A couple of things to note from previous reviews: The indoors are cozy, perfect for a couple, but you will be spending your time on the very spacious terrace overlooking the water across to the caves. Amazing! There is no kitchen, just a fridge and hot plate, but the town is full of great and affordable restaurants. Yum! There is music below at night, but it is not too loud or "thumpy," and we slept comfortably with the windows open listening to the music mix with the waves. Lovely! If you are thinking of just day-tripping to Matala, I urge you to think again because the night life is a big part of the fun. And George's place is perfect to enjoy it. Built into the hillside, giving the feel of the hippie caves but with the luxury of a comfy bed and bathroom--and that terrace!--we couldn't be happier with our choice. If you have a hippie soul, you will love charming Matala. Efcharisto, George!

We spent a few nights in the apartment. It was perfect, the kitchen was very well equipped and you could actually cook (have never experienced this so well before), the beach location super, the contact with Zabia extremely friendly and uncomplicated. There were cute cats that visited us on the large roof terrace. We would definitely recommend the place.

Highly recommend!! We came to Kalyves for some rest and relaxation and our stay at Avra apartments exceeded this expectation. The apartment was very clean, stocked with all the essentials plus some, and the terrace was the perfect place to start every day - we even arrived to some welcome gifts. Stelios was incredibly accommodating and responsive, quickly providing us with additional amenities, such as beach towels. Chania and its surrounding areas were amazing, but this accommodation really made it feel like home away from home. The whole trip was perfect thanks to Stelios’ help! Avra apartments exceeded our expectations in every way! Hope to come back soon!

Would love to come back and stay at 7 Olives again. Each apartment has a stunning view from their balcony. All the guests were quiet and respectful. Two super comfy pillows for each of us which we didn’t find anywhere else on our trip to Europe. The mattress was also very comfortable. And Alex was by far my favorite Greek kitty we met.

Unfortunately, I was only in Kalamaki for three nights! The location of the apartment is really great, right behind the tavern Avra (good food, very nice service). The stairs to the apartment are located between the outside and inside of the tavern, so that you are almost immediately at the tavern after leaving the apartment, and 1 minute later at the beach.

Amazing stay! High end finishings, great location

The stay in the beautiful cottage with breathtaking views of the sea and the caves of Matala was simply sensational! This view is absolutely worth the steep climb, so be sure to bring good shoes. Sofia is a warm and very attentive hostess, responds quickly and had prepared small delicacies for the reception. The cottage simply has everything you need, very cozy with attention to detail. Now I also understand why this house is almost always occupied.😉 In the evening it can get a bit louder when the live music is loud, but you know that when you go to Matala.

We have just had a wonderful holiday in this amazing villa. A lovely location. Very peaceful and the villa has everything you could possibly need. Thank you!

May 2025, 10 nights stay for three (2 adults, 1 toddler). Villa is really fantastic. Beautiful view of the sea and the bay. It offers plenty of space for more people (2 couples, 4-6 friends, 2 families) and for longer stays (storage space, cupboards and shelves, etc.). The furnishings correspond to the description and offer, even in the kitchen, everything you need. Our highlight was the covered terrace. Our flight was moved up at short notice. A significantly earlier check-in was no problem at all in our case. Stelios is a very friendly, helpful and dedicated host. We recommend him and his villa without reservation. Small restriction: the accommodation is a bit off the beaten track or the region is a bit scattered (mainly due to the geography of the terrain). Without your own car, it will be a bit difficult in our opinion. However, there is a free parking space directly at the house.

The apartment is faithful to the description, a functional and welcoming house, furnished with excellent taste. Separate kitchen, possibility of cooking outdoors and outdoor space that further enhances the holiday. The real added value. The host is always available to respond to our requests for information. Ideal location to stay and visit this area of Crete

10/10 Eleni is so sweet and helpful dont be afraid to text her for ANY support. The only thing I would say is if u struggle with stairs this may not be the best for you as it at the top of a hill that u need stairs for walking. If u have a car though that wont be an issue for you :)

We had an exceptional stay at Tasos. The apartment is even more beautiful in real life than in the photos, with a breathtaking view of the sea that literally takes your breath away. The private jacuzzi is a real plus, offering incomparable moments of relaxation. The apartment is perfectly equipped, everything is thought of for your comfort. In addition, you are less than a 10-minute walk from Agia Beach and the best restaurants in the area, ideal for enjoying the area. Tasos is a very attentive and responsive host, who does everything to make your stay absolutely perfect. You can book without so much so so, you won't be disappointed. P.S. Don't forget to feed the little cat of the residence, he is absolutely adorable. 😉

I‘m more that happy that we decided to stay at Dimitri‘s place. He ish very kind and helped us right away, if we had any questions. The location is peaceful and has a great view. The beach is not far away and the size of the apartment is just perfekt for a single person or a couple. I will definitely visit again.

You cannot beat this location. It is walkable to several shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues. Close to the waterfront, close to the airport in Seaport. Convenience that cannot be beat.

Marianna’s place was great - we had a very pleasant time there. The view over the Mediterranean Sea is stunning, and the location is easy to access. Her mum, Sonia, kindly made us a local pie upon arrival, and she was so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. There are several excellent restaurants nearby, and it’s only about 20 minutes to the Heraklion city centre. Highly recommended!

Fabulous attentive host. Light bright spacious apartment with a lift. Generous welcome pack , great walk in shower, large extremely comfortable beds and nice fresh linen. Large Windows and sliding doors onto two terraces , one with the hot tub! Sunset and sea views from both terraces. Close to bars and restaurants with Indigos our favourite just across the road on the beach front. We hired a car from the host and went on an adventure. Definitely the way to see Crete! The mountainous centre is fantastic and you get to discover other great places. Recommend Evita beach Bali which is just 30 mins along the coast. Truly a piece of heaven. Very sad to leave!!! Thank you so much for everything!

Close to the beach. Parking available. Apartment has everything you might need. Helpful landlord. Everything within walking distance, car is only needed for day trips. Nice toys for the kids. The only downside is that it is next to a busy road with the necessary noise.
