In Haastrecht is zijn wat winkels en restaurants, museums 'Paulina Bisdom van Vliet' en 'Het Gemaal' en in de zomer kan je er kano's huren om op de Vlist te roeien. In Hekendorp, op 2 km, zit een goeie Italiaan en na 4 km zijn elektrische scooters te huur. De Middeleeuwse steden Oudewater en Gouda zijn bereikbaar met de bus, auto of fiets.

This special place is close to everything, making it easy to plan your visit. The bustling center of Gouda with the beautiful town hall on the Markt is a 7 minute walk. Plenty of restaurants and cafes are right around the corner. The cheese market is in the summer on Thursdays. There is also a festival site. Gouda is a quiet town, but you won't find total silence here. The station with direct connections to Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht and Amsterdam is a 15-minute walk away.

Keep it simple at this peaceful and centrally-located place. Our lovely Cottage is located in the middle of the polder in a quiet park. The thatched Cottage is almost at the end of 1 of the access paths and is therefore really wonderfully quiet! The spacious garden offers a lot of privacy, but the open character means you don't feel locked up. Go out during the day, go for a walk, ride a bike, visit Gouda and at the end of the day have a drink on your own terrace by the water.
