We had a wonderful stay at this spacious house, perfect for our group of 5 adults and 1 baby. My husband and I chose the tatami-style room to sleep with our baby, and it was a cozy and special experience. The house is located near the lakeside and close to the train tracks, a bit of a distance from town, but that wasn’t an issue for us as we had rented a car. We also made good use of the kitchen and even enjoyed a late-night supper together. Everything was clean, well-equipped, and comfortable. Overall, it was a great experience, and we truly enjoyed our stay here!

The owner was very nice and quick to respond to messages, which was my second time staying here.The room is quiet and tidy, the location is convenient, very close to the station, you can get there by bus from the sightseeing spot, it is very convenient ~

This is a truly wonderful stay. The decor and energy is so peaceful. Honestly just watching the trees and mountains, and steam from the natural hot spring outlet from the window was a highlight. There are 3 famous hot springs to visit whilst you are here. One (the clear water silver spring) is literally across the road, so it feels like your very own! The gold spring is just down the path. If you're coming for hot springs, you couldn't get a more zen or better location. It feels like luxury. The sound travels easily, so this is not a good place if you want to party, as you need to be quiet for the shop downstairs. We had a toddler and it was totally fine. Very new feeling place. Also, we needed help to visit a medical clinic whilst here and the host Yuki san was extremely generous and kind, going well above and beyond to ring clinics, book us into the right clinic, organise transport - we would have been lost without this incredible kindness. Forever grateful! A magnificent place.

Really clean and had everything we needed for a few days stay, even a massage chair! Host was very responsive as well. Highly recommend!

The house is very nice and quite clean. Perfect for living in a real Japanese home. The location is not bad, but you need to take the means to go out in the evening. Subway is a 10-minute walk away. There are a few restaurants in the area in case you don't want to go far. Very responsive and attentive to our needs. I would change the fabric of the sheets and a few more towels would have been useful.

Very beautiful detached townhouse, beautifully decorated, close to subway station, 3 minutes walk, walk directly to Kamogawa to see the beautiful scenery, can walk directly 10 minutes to Sanjo to eat and shop, very convenient, highly recommended, great stay, can accommodate 7-8 people, no problem, will come again next time!

By Japan's standards, Kyoto House is palatial. The outdoor tub and garden are as luxe as it gets. And it's a genuine 80-year-old property to boot. We got a really great deal and even though it was still expensive, was worth every penny.

Perfect spot for 10 people. Great location and loved the authenticity of the sliding paper doors, beds on mats, etc. Very comfortable and loved the location and host.

Shan was a generous and ultra professional hosts, provided my family of 5 not just with regular amenities but quality snacks, treats and indulgences in his charming three-storey guesthouse. Everything was perfect

Great place for a couple people traveling through Kyoto. smack dab between many different restaurants and shops as well as a 711 less than 300 feet away. The location is amazing. the house itself may present itself as smaller to the average American but it fit our needs very well. just be sure to watch your head if you are tall as some of us were. Other than, that this place has plenty of room and a a great balcony hangout/getaway to u wind after a long day of walking . Great communications and fast response times makes this host an A+.

The house was wonderful, the location was really quiet on the outerskirts of Kyoto, perfect for hiking and get away from the crowded areas. We have enjoyed the garden as well as the cozy living room.

The location of the B&B is very striking. There are convenience stores and fresh supermarkets around. The host is very nice!!All the process will be given a detailed text answer and recommendations for food!Also a snack!The cutlery is all very complete The room is clean and tidy.The surroundings of the house are also very quiet and restful, highly recommended!

Very convenient location in the Arashiyama neighborhood. Only a 6 minute walk to shops, the bamboo forest, or the larger neighborhood train station. There is a smaller train track right behind the house, and we were worried about noise, but it turns out those trains don't run at night. Very responsive owners/ management- it was a great stay.

Great accommodation away from the city. We arrived with a rental car, and there was a parking spot right at the doorstep. Everything was clean. Ideal for relaxing taking in the beautiful surroundings. We hope to come back! :)

Rose was a fantastic host. One of the nicest people ever and her home is brand new and super comfortable to stay in. Would gladly stay again. Well located and very clean.
