La Casa del Mestre is a small, magical corner in the heart of the mountain, located a few meters from a small village called Aielo de Rugat. In each of its two independent rooms, we offer you the possibility of spending a few days as a couple or with the family in the middle of nature and enjoying the pleasure of discovering yourselves between routes, silence, readings, activities, rest, sports... you decide. Access is very easy next to the road cv-70, and you can fully disconnect in nature, discover this authentic region, do walks, kayak at the lake, cycle, eat at many local restaurants etc. We have a huge wood pergola, water from citern, solar electricity with 5kw batery, 2 showers.

El Descanso del Monje

The house was built by the Cistercian monks in 1723. Its walls have a thickness of 150 cm on the ground floor and inside it you can breathe peace and tranquility. In ancient times it was a resting place for monks and field workers and shepherds sheltered their animals in the construction pens. It is oriented to the Mediterranean, and through its windows you can feel the freshness of the breeze that blows from the sea: warm in winter, cool in summer.

The apartment is located 200 meters from the town's old part. It is a third floor with southeast orientation. It has 1 master bedroom with a bed, bathroom, kitchen and living room with an Italian-opening sofa bed. The whole apartment has laminate flooring. The main jewel is its terrace, where you can enjoy wonderful moments, overlooking the mountains of Aitana and Aixortà, and in the background the peak of Bernia and the sea. We hope you love it.

The house (built between 1910-1920) is one of the few traditional Mediterranean-style buildings in the area that has been preserved and has not been demolished in order to build apartment blocks. The spirit of the house is humble and simple, although from the first moment you cross the entrance gate, its cozy and unique essence invades you. This unique character can be seen in every detail around you and in every corner of the house.
